Halloween was already here and Charlotte was glad that she finally home again. The jetlag after that week and a half trip was exhausting. She ended up sleeping in for the entire weekend and not working on her stuff was saying something. It had been a blissful month almost and a half and a few weeks since they had gone on that wonderful amazing trip together. 'Has it really been almost 2 months being together?' Charlotte wasn't really one to keep track of everything going on at times if it wasn't serious but this was serious. It was getting serious for her and she wanted to keep going to see where this could lead them. During the trip Mathias had a huge accident involving his some broken ribs in his body and a semi minor skull fracture of some sort. The results were horrendous and devastated Charlotte to no end. Once they were home a week ago Charlotte was taking care of him at her house where he had stayed for a few days with Lukas. She only had him grab clothes for him and Lukas and some things to bring but other than that she took care of him every day.

He scared the crap out of her by getting into an accident when he said he wouldn't ever get into one again. She was shaken up for a few days but she didn't show it. She cried every night praying he would be ok again. This allowed her sleeping habits get out of whack and she started to eat sweets again when she got nervous. This was really bad for her at work since people were asking how Mathias was doing all the time she couldn't exactly answer for him. So she had to lie and say that he was doing ok. He promised her not to mention any bad news to the Times yet and print it out for all of his fans to see. She was sure that some people in Germany found out after the race and they were hounded with phone calls and people were asking about him online. She didn't really know what to say. She did her best as to do what he wanted her to say. Charlotte was also on kid duty and she was taking care of Lukas and driving him to school every morning when they returned. They had their own routine going on while Mathias was bed resting.

She still hasn't spoken to Michelle in over awhile since before the vacation, and now they were home she felt like she should make an effort to call her later on or email her to explain. But she would give it time. She was still considered a good friend. After a few days ago Charlotte had helped Mathias into his publicists car and sent him and Lukas off to his house until today. Halloween. She would still check up on him and knowing that he had to go home and do what he had to do he was still ok to move around a bit but still sore. It was good to have him at her house but they were getting too used to a routine that she felt like she might've been hovering over him too much and he probably wanted to be alone at his house too. Tonight was going to be great though, she was finishing up getting ready and grabbing a few clothes because she knew she would stay at least a few nights at his place. She packed a few outfits and pajamas that were suitable around Lukas. She still would not feel comfortable naked around him since she was getting to know Lukas more.

Though, Mathias had trusted him alone with her a few times in the past few weeks so that was always a good thing. For the fun festivities she was going to dress up in costume and maybe if he felt up for it later they would go to the mansion party together maybe, if not she might meet up with some of her friends for a little while. Then again this was there first Halloween she was still struggling on what to do. Trick or Treating was definitely on the list though. Charlotte had even sent him ideas on what to get for their matching couple's costume, it was going to be good since she would go as a perfect 1920's style flapper girl and he would go as one of the mob bosses. Those were typical classic Halloween couple costumes that she had seen in some places and they were big in New York. Oh how much she missed her Halloween parties in New York, they were the best. But this year was going to be different. Charlotte also brought some comfortable shoes with her later so she would change out of them since they were going trick or treating around the neighborhood for a few hours.

Finally, she was done and ready as she gathered most of her things together and remembered to bring Roxy along with her as well her things for her too. She had a few trips to come back and forth to get her things and place them in her car out in the garage. Charlotte might actually talk to Mathias about possibly thinking about the living situation, she knew that they were going to see each other a lot and more later on so she wondered what his idea was about that. She would definitely bring it up later. Charlotte did wear a little bit of make up then what she was used to around him so she might actually look a little different. She wondered what he would think and everything about her costume. When she made sure her house was locked up last and everything was in her car she was all set and ready to go. With Roxy in tow she started the car and backed out as she was off and headed to his house which was a bit out of the outskirts of town. It wasn't far but she was excited to see his place. In which she would hope to get a special tour after Lukas was asleep.

For the evening she also had brought a bottle of wine and crackers, and really good Brie they could share since she knew that he might possibly be doing dinner for them. She wasn't sure what was on the menu so she hoped that he was at least a decent cook too. Charlotte grinned when the nerves rushed to her stomach as she pulled up moments later in front of what seemed to be a house on acres and looked to be a big ranch house. "Holy fuck, he lives here!" she gasped as she pulled up in the drive way in her full on costume as she wondered if he had heard her driving up. She had her mouth hanging open the entire time and was a bit scared to see the inside. Her heart racing as she parked and gathered Roxy as well as her bags and headed to the front door After she began to walk from the car she stopped in front of his door and knocked hoping he would hear her.

If you drove race cars for any period of time, accidents were bound to occur sooner or later. Some would be relatively minor, with little damage to the car, and some may only affect pride. But some of those accident would always be bigger and more serious. During his years of driving Mathias had been in some spectacular accidents, some of them going right back to when he had been driving karts. His first big accident had been at the tender age of ten years old, when he had gone for a gap that disappeared and rolled his kart, much to the horror of his parents that had been looking. Luckily Mathias had been up straight away, ready to set the kart back on it's wheels and wanted to go again, and he had been highly disappointed when he hadn't been allowed to. Sometimes he could be a while without a spectacular accident, but they always seemed to happen every so often.

His last big accident had been way back in 2011, when he had hit the back of another car and his car had gone up into the air and flipped over along the main straight rather spectacularly, barely missing an overhead sign. There had been minor accidents, but nothing that could be considered spectacular. There had been a couple of high speed accidents but in all of those he had walked away with so much as a scratch. In fact, the worst injury he had from a racing accident had been minor bruises and aches.

The accident in Texas had been the first time that he had sustained anything other than minor injuries in a race car. He couldn't remember the accident itself, but he could remember the start of the race, and the moments right before the accident. There were only vague recollections of the time immediately after the race and of them extracting him from the car, as well as the first day in hospital. His memory got better after that.

Minor concussion went with the minor skull fracture, and the hospital had done just about every test they could think of, quite often multiple times, to be certain about his injuries. They had decided that his minor skull fracture didn't need operating on, that it would heal fine if it was just left alone. However his broken right wrist and right punctured lung did need operating on. Broken ribs went along with the punctured lung, something that he hadn't been pleased with. It had been about this time last year he had broken his ribs, and he hopped that it wasn't going to be an annual occurrence.

Mathias's publicist Luka had been the one to deal with both Mathias, the team and media, making formal press announcements as necessary. Along with that, he kept Mathias's siblings informed (as did the hospital) because they were the ones who could make decisions for him when he was incapable. Luka had also been the one to tell Charlotte, as well as Mathias's son Lukas.

It was a Wednesday afternoon when he had been released from hospital, and he had frankly been glad to go. Despite being quite sore he had always hated being stuck in hospital, mainly because they made sure that he couldn't do anything and had to get plenty of rest. But there orders had been for him to get plenty of rest, which he wasn't overly happy with.

Luka and Emil, Emil being Mathias's personal assistant had escorted him back from Texas to Lochland. Mathias's brother or sister hadn't flown over, because Mathias had said that they didn't need to, but his brother had send a private jet down to fly them back from Texas to Lochland. Mathias had been expecting one of the Embraer Lineage 1000s that were common in the fleet, but they had instead been greeted by a brand new Boeing 787. It was no ordinary 787 however, boasting a private master suite with a shower, multiple bathrooms and a bar, with a lounge and plenty of seating. Personally he thought it was a bit over the top, but he was grateful that his brother had obviously gone to such an effort.

He hadn't expected Charlotte to be insistent that he stay with her a few days either. He had protested, saying that he didn't need to, but Emil and Luka had gone against him, siding with Charlotte and saying that it would be good. They would happily keep an eye on Mathias's place for him. Despite how sore he was, and how he did need more rest, he didn't want to sit around and do nothing all the time either. He just ended up bored, there was only so much tv he could watch or books he could read before he had to get up and do something.

But it had touched him greatly that she was going to such an effort to take care of not only himself, but Lukas. Taking him to school and keeping an eye on the seven year old. Lukas was obviously worried about Mathias, wanted to help him out just like Charlotte did, but also seemed to be enjoying staying with Charlotte. The little boy especially seemed to like her dog, loving being able to help take care of it.

Despite all of it, Mathias was glad that he was finally able to be home. To sleep in his own bed, and to be at his own house.

Mathias himself wasn't fussed about Halloween, but he had always done it for his son who always looked forwards to it. Charlotte was quite into Halloween as well, so he was happy in indulge her. She had gone over ideas for matching costume, and he had been relatively happy to go with what she wanted to do. Actually shopping for the costume had been another thing however, and he had actually taken a shortcut and called his stylist, talking to her over the phone about something suitable. She had recent measurements and knew what looked good on him, so had been able to provide advice on something that would suit him. Normally she would come over to wherever he was and they would do a proper fitting, but Mathias insisted that it wasn't needed, and she had instead just sent his costume to him.

Mathias had, however, taken his son to the shops to get a costume. The seven year old had ended up going for something that fitted in with Mathias and Charlotte's costumes.

Luka and Emil had left this morning, happy that Mathias was coping fine at home. His niece who lived next door was happily handling his horses and taking care of things that he couldn't do which Mathias was grateful for.

For dinner Mathias had gotten a chicken out of the freezer, and had cooked earlier. His oven had a timer, but he didn't like to go out and leave food cooking alone, so the chicken, along with roast vegetables were all cooked and cooled, put in the fridge so that all they had to do when they wanted dinner was to heat them up. Lukas had ended up having to peel most of the vegetable himself because Mathias hadn't been able to with only one hand.

When the car pulled up he had just gotten changed into his costume, and his stylist had actually added a few accessories that Mathias never would have thought of, including a sling for his arm that fitted in far better than the bright blue one the hospital had given him would. Lukas was in his, excitedly bouncing around with his treat bag in hand. Mathias went to answer the door, a smile on his face as he opened it and saw her. "Come in. You look stunning as always." He carefully reaching out to pull her into a hug, still careful of his arm and ribs, giving her a peck on the lips.

However that turned into a laugh but Lukas making gagging sounds from behind him and commenting how kissing was yuk.

Charlotte couldn't get a hold of how incredibly big this house really was. She was still in awe over it. Bringing her inside the house as she spotted him with the costume on she was amazed at how he put it together. The way how he greeted her too was surprising. His ribs were still a bit sore so she made sure not to put any pressure on him when she was hugging him gently. He was pretty fragile at the moment and knew that he was in so much pain after the race in Texas. She didn't really visit him too much there but when she had found out about she rushed right over. She couldn't get a lot of time off work after the Germany vacation. "You know Mathias, I sure hope you put a bit of effort into your costume. Somehow I feel like you didn't do all the work...." she teased as she gave him a welcoming kiss. Smirking as she heard Lukas she gave him a small hug too. Since they all had gotten closer now she seemed to think of them as family now. Well, maybe one day. It was still too soon to even think of that.

He still texted her a few times before that he loved her and there conversations over the phone were so long at night that fell asleep to his voice on the phone. She knew her phone bill was going to be racked up later but she didn't care. Charlotte was in love with him. Completely and honestly in love with him. This was not good though, she had to do this slowly and take time to gradually accept it. But they had way too many things in common already and when he spent the time at her place for that week she knew him more. She missed sharing a bed with him but she knew that he wanted a bed for himself. She wondered he had missed her too. "Don't you worry Lukas, your father deserves happiness right now. And one day you will do that to a girl too.....You may think they are gross now which I thought boys were gross at your age but just wait Lukas....." she giggled and gave him a little kiss on the cheek too just to tease him about it. Charlotte was also surprised at the fact that she could smell something cooking in the oven. It smelled heavenly.

"Mmmm smells good! What type of chicken are you making? And you do look rather handsome Mathias....." she complimented when she held onto the side of his forearm to keep steady. Roxy seemed to have a mind of her own as she practically wiggled out of the leash and tackled Lukas. Her little dog adored him. And was grateful for the company she was sure of that. Charlotte smiled at him as she then gave her full attention on Mathias. "Will I get a grand tour of the house first?" she asked as she set her duffle bag on the chair of his dining room. She couldn't really see much of the outside part but he did have lights outside so she barely saw the coloring and the acres of the stables outside. She saw parts of it when she pulled up in her car and her bright lights were on earlier. But other than that she would eventually see it tomorrow morning a little clearer. "Are you ready for trick or treating Lukas? I havent been with anyone in years doing this. And I am glad to do this with you and your father!" she said to him happily as she watched how energetic Roxy was with him.

She was going to love being here with him and even being a part of their lives was a lot but she would still always care for the two of them no matter what.

Mathias didn't really think that his house was that big. Sure, it wasn't small, but it certainly wasn't a big mansion or anything like that. He thought that it was a reasonable size, perfect for what he and his son needed. Sure, he had enough space for a home gym and an office, but he didn't have a personal movie theater or anything like that.

She saw right through him when she stated that she didn't think that he had done all of the work in regards to his costume by himself. "Honestly I did put effort into it, but I wasn't up to going out and trying on clothing, and I didn't have anything here that would be suitable." With his wrist and his ribs putting on (and taking off) clothing was more difficult, and he didn't fancy trying to do it in a shop. "So I might have called up my stylist. She has recent measurements and knows what suits me, so we talked on the phone for a bit and she sent me down something. She put thought of all the little things that I never would have thought of." He was mainly thinking of the sling for his wrist, because he wouldn't have had a clue as to what might still support his wrist while looking like it was part of the costume, and she had managed to find something.

He was still rather sore, which wasn't helped by his dislike of taking painkillers. He just didn't like taking them, especially if they made him go all silly or made him drowsy. While they had given him painkillers that did that, they had also given him some that weren't quite as strong and took away the worst of the pain while also keeping him thinking straight. And he appreciated that she was being gentle as she was hugging him, just like he was being gentle as he hugged her back. He would take a few of those gentler painkillers before they left to help a little bit.

Lukas didn't comment about Mathias deserving happiness or say anything about Charlotte, but instead focusing on the girl issue. Mathias couldn't help the amusement on his face as his son spoke about how he was never going to get married, that girls were yuk and that was never going to change. Mathias probably would have said the same about girls when he was his son's age, and that had changed once he had gotten to his teens. But no matter what happened or who his son turned out to like, Mathias would always be there to support him and offer advice.

"Plain and simple roast chicken. Home raised chicken as well, although I did pull it out of my freezer. I put in on early to cook, because I don't like going out and leaving the oven on, and I wasn't sure if you wanted to eat before or after." He had done plenty of roast vegetables as well as home made gravy. He had other vegetables cut up already, and would probably lightly steam them as needed. He always liked having lots of vegetables with his meal, and Lukas having been raised on a diet with little processed food didn't usually complain at getting a meal with lots of vegetables in it. Mathias had always tried to teach his son that processed foods were a treat item, to be enjoyed occasionally, and so far it seemed to work. "And thank you. You look rather stunning as well I might add." Compliments were always nice, and he always liked to pay them back. Although he wasn't sure how lovely he looked. There was still some bruising on the side of his head from that minor skull fracture that didn't seem to want to go away, and they had even shaved a patch of his hair off so they could check it out properly. Good thing his stylist had included a hat with the outfit, and until his hair grew back he might be wearing one a little more often when he was out.

So she wanted a tour of the house. Hopefully she liked it. After all his late wife had done a lot of the designing of the interior, although she hadn't purchased all the furniture. "Yes, of course. I can show you around the house tonight, and the outside tomorrow when we can see where you are going." It would be much easier than showing her around in the dark. While he did have some outside lights on, there weren't enough to see properly all over the place.

Lukas didn't seem to be able to sit still, excited at the prospect of going trick or treating despite the fact that he didn't eat a lot of sweets. The amount he had gotten last year when Mathias had taken him out had lasted ages, as the little boy had seemed determined to only have one or two pieces at a time. While Mathias didn't want to stop his son from enjoying treat food, he was also pleased that his son just hadn't ate the lot in one go. Luckily Charlotte's dog Roxy also seemed to be energetic, and the two got along well expelling a bit of energy.

"Before we go i'll show you around. As you can see, this is an open plan living, kitchen, dining, with a good sized walk in pantry. Originally it was several small rooms, but I persuaded her that open plan would be better, and I really think it is." It was well equipped, mainly in white and grey with a few little touches of colour. The furniture looked nice but yet was also quite comfortable. "I have a little feature in the entry that I don't know if you noticed." He left Lukas and Roxy playing, leading Charlotte back into the entry and showing her the wall with the photos on it. It had a wide variety of photos from ones with people, to landscapes, animals and cars. Mathias could be recognized in some, as could Lukas and Gretta was in some as well. A few photos which were obviously quite recent ones indicated that it was still being added to. "Each of these photos holds a special memory for me. I could stand here all night and tell you the story behind all of them, but we don't have time for that."

Charlotte realized not to take it too hard on him as she wanted to just take care of him tonight and especially when Lukas was asleep she would treat him properly. "Sweetie don't go crazy tonight ok? If you need help lifting things I will help you. That's what I'm here for," she noted when she mentioned about the dinner and thinking about the fact that the plates could be heavy for him and setting the table might not be easy. She would help him cook the rest of the dinner if he needed it. But he did have a stylist to help him from time to time and she was grateful for that. She would have to thank her later. Charlotte was sad that a patch of his hair was shaved but it did give him the rugged sexy look so she didn't really mind much. Looks weren't really a big thing to her as long as they were sweet, and they clicked really well with personality and she would agree to having a good conversation with them. Although, Mathias was really attractive and she always thought he had a nice butt and a nice body so that was always a plus.

And his eyes got her to like him more. His eyes and his smile were genuine and the dimples were adorable. She couldn't find anything wrong with him even if a patch of hair was cut off. It wouldn't bother her at all. Nodding as she finally agreed to his costume development she wanted to thank him for making a good effort after all. "Oh ok....Just teasing you then....Your costume does look amazing though," she added with a smile and blushed when he complimented her this time. He knew how to please women and he did it so well. He was a complete charmer. The complete package. She adored when he did use little compliments to cheer her up. Looking around the kitchen she hadn't realized until now that it was huge. The nice silver touch was pretty to look at too. The dining table was very modern like and she liked the glass around it. Especially the chairs looked a bit different then she would've used, though it was a guy house and she was liking it. "Hmmm yes the pantry is nice. It's got a lot of space," she agreed but before she continued on she forgot to mention the food for later.

"Let's eat before we leave. That way we can walk it off.....And not rush..." she answered him as she would like to see the outside as well but that would be saved for tomorrow. Slipping her arm around him tighter to hold him up as she helped him walk easily around the kitchen with her in her shoes. She would be comfortable since she brought some soles to walk in afterwards. Turning her head to where he was looking as they passed a wall of photos, she was in awe and surprised that he was showing her this. It was personal and sweet, she looked over at Lukas seeing that her dog was keen on him always and loved how he was playing with her. It was so sweet. "Oh wow....." she did notice a few family ones as she let go of his waist and got closer to get a better view of his smile. Looking at each one she stopped at a family one and remembered how Gretta looked when he showed her awhile back. She was beautiful. She wasn't sure if she could compare to that. It was crazy to think that she could've still been alive.

She felt guilty for being here but was feeling warm and cozy when she looked over at him. Wrapping an arm around him gently she gave him a kiss on the lips again just for a simple gesture. Continuing there gaze she would not want to take these down even if she were living here, she would keep a picture of her around to show the world that they had a chance to start a new family again. She wondered if Gretta was happy for them and thinking about them. She knew that she could've been. 'Each of these photos holds a special memory for me. I could stand here all night and tell you the story behind all of them, but we don't have time for that...' she bit her lip and sighed as she walked back over to them and nodded. "Yes, another time for this. They are so beautiful Mathias. I'm so glad to see them finally. You are a wonderful man you know? It's just truly touching....You will one day tell me. We do have some time for another day....." she explained as she wanted to get some more time for that another day.

The pictures were incredible. She could tell that they used to be so happy together. Looking over at him, she wanted that with him and maybe she would get that one day. It would be up to him though and in time since he was still getting over her and realizing that he was with someone else.

As Charlotte had probably already figured out, Mathias wasn't always the easiest person to deal with when he was sick or injured. He got bored sitting around all the time, and after a while he just couldn't sit still, he had to get up and move and do something. Then he would get tired of being stuck inside all the time and being unable to go outside or do anything. But he was also smart enough to know that pushing himself to hard wasn't going to do any good either. So he had to try and work out something that allowed him to have some sort of rest and to take it easy, while also stopping him from getting hopelessly bored. "I Will try not to overdo anything, and I promise to ask if I need any help. Honestly Lukas has been a big help, he peeled most of the vegetables by himself." Under Mathias's supervision of course, but the seven year old had been all to happy to help in the kitchen, getting things ready. Mathias had purposely gone for an oven dish to put the chicken in that was light enought for him to handle one handed, because he didn't want his son having to handle a hot, heavy dish and risk the child dropping it.

He hadn't actually thought of waiting for Charlotte before putting the chicken on to cook, and now that she had suggested it, it did sound like a good idea. He wished that he had thought of it earlier, because it would have been easier. However things had still worked out, and Lukas was always happy to help out, especially since he knew Mathias was injured. "Honestly, I didn't think of waiting for you to come over to get you to help. I just used a dish small and light enough for me to handle with one arm." The oven was wall mounted, and the top one was high enough so that he didn't have to bend down.

"Thank you. She did a good job considering we just talked over the phone. And your costume also looks amazing, I like that lovely little dress your wearing as well. You look good in it." It did suit her, and his eyes kept getting drawn towards it. He liked how nicely it showed her body off without being over the top or inappropriate.

While Gretta had been in her element designing the renovation of the house she hadn't just done what she wanted; She had considered what Mathias liked and taken his opinion in as well. One of the things that he had wanted was a big, walk in pantry. Lots of space to put not only food items, but appliances and all those other little things that you had in a kitchen. He liked it. Walking into the pantry it was evident that it was wel organised, and there was very little processed food in it.

"I cooked it earlier and it hasn't long been in the fridge. I just want to lightly steam a few more vegetables, then we just need to warm up how much we will eat." He normally didn't like a big meal in the evening, because he didn't think it was good to have a big meal and then go to bed. He always prefered having bigger meals earlier in the day and a smaller one at night, because you tended to burn a bigger meal off during the day. At the moment he wasn't being super strict about his diet, but was concentrating on eating good, real unprocessed food.

The photo wall was continually evolving, with new photos being added. Mathias had always let Lukas help, and the little boy seemed to take the task of adding photos to the wall seriously. Mathias always showed his son the photos he was going to put up, talking about them and sharing opinions, and Lukas also sometimes suggested photos that he thought deserved to be put up. Mathias pointed out one photo of him aged about ten, sitting in one of his grandfather's vintage formula one cars, a Maserati 250F to be exact, a beaming smile on his face as he gripped the steering wheel. "That is me at ten, having a great time pretending to drive my grandfather's vintage F1 car, a Maserati 250F. Just liked Lukas does not I had great fun playing in all of my grandfather's cars, only I didn't have as many to choose from as Lukas does." He indicated to another photo, of Lukas at about two, sitting in a far more modern Formula One car, happy as anything. "Lukas attended his first Gp as a baby, and he always loved being able to go as he grew up. Not many children can say that they got to play in a real Formula One car."

He wrapped his good arm around her as she gave him a simple kiss on the lips. When she went to pull away he held her there, moving to give her another couple of kisses before letting her go. "I am always adding to it, and have a few from our Germany trip. Hopefully there will be many more to come. But yes, another day I would be happy to tell you about all of those photos."

He let her into the next room. It had originally been a second living area, but Mathias had converted it into what was basically a library. Built in shelves lined much of three walls, with large windows along the outside walls letting in lots of light. A couple of comfortable chairs and a sofa were in the room, along with a small table and chairs. On one wall was a small table with a desktop computer on it, two chairs in front of it. "This was originally a second living area, but now it is a library. It is a good, quiet area to spend time in, and the sofa is a bed sofa so it can be used to sleep someone if there are lots of people over."

When she had a good look around that he let her out of that and into his office. I had lots of dark wood, with touches of white so that it didn't seem overwhelming. On the right side what stood out was the trophy cabinet. It had a wide variety of trophies, and next to the cabinet ribbons that had been won at show jumping events had been hung on the wall. Mathias moved to switch on the lights for the trophy cabinet so she could get a better look at it. "This is my home office, and where I put my trophies on display as well. It's a little messy at the moment however, so my apologies."

The chicken sounded amazing and almost something she could eat all the time. He really did like to cook with everything that was fresh and ready. Things weren't so great when they were processed foods, but they did taste good when you wanted to cheat a little on weekends. Though, now that she had Mathias to motivate her she couldn't eat bad all the time. She would have to start making healthier dinners every week with him. "Well don't you worry Nurse Charlotte is here to help....." she teased with a little wink and gave him a squeeze in his bum. God he had a nice one. She made sure Lukas wasn't looking and loved how helpful he was with his father too. They were all being so caring and thoughtful to him. She liked to help him every day when he needed it, it showed that she wanted to be a part of this family. "Mm the chicken sounds amazing though, I know you like to cook fresh. You have motivated me to cook more at home. You know that?" she said quietly when they made a little small talk walking by the pictures. She loved looking at his pictures. They were incredible to see him grow up so fast.

"Ok sounds good whenever you want to eat I'm fine with that too. Although, after this tour it would be great...." she answered him as she noted the ten year old him when he was sitting on the car and to the one where Lukas was little beside him too. It was uncanny that they looked a lot alike. "Awww sweetie your so cute at ten years old. Just like you are now, but only much more sexier...." she giggled and walked over to him and leaned into his shoulder a little bit. She didn't want to hurt him too much so she just gave him a little side hug. The usual hug would be a bit much. She would never get old with his kisses, she sighed and enjoyed the sweet sensual feel of his lips. It was nice that she would never be the one to pull away if they had too. And since he was showing her his house it was only suitable they would end up in his bedroom last. "Mmm sorry I got a little out of hand there, haha..." she chuckled and shook her head as she straightened herself up more.

'I am always adding to it, and have a few from our Germany trip. Hopefully there will be many more to come. But yes, another day I would be happy to tell you about all of those photos,' she was happy when he mentioned that and she couldn't stop blushing. "Awww sweetie I remember those pictures we took the first few days and I asked to take silly selfies. WE did take some good ones," she grinned and came up to him and kiss him on the cheek. His cheek always felt so smooth that she liked kissing him from time to time. "Alright.....on we go," following him to his side as she tugged on to his forearm gently so she wouldn't hurt him again. This was killing her because she so badly wanted to tend to his every move so she realized that she had to act like a girlfriend instead of a nurse and not be on his case every moment. The next room was his office like room and it was huge too. The walls were a cream color and the bronze colored structure to hold it up was beautiful too. And they went to the thing he cherished the most his trophy case.

She was in awe and amazed at how many trophies he had won. "Oh wow....They are amazing babe, I can see why you are a race car driver now.....My my there are so many!" she gaped and rolled her eyes when she heard him say messy, what mess was he talking about? It was clean in here. Or the trophies were misplaced? She could hardly tell. "Really are you serious? Nothing is messy around here. The trophies look fine sweetie.....do you mind if I touch one?" she asked hoping he didn't have a key to unlock these but then he might have since they were precious to him. And she would have something like that too.

Mathias ate a lot of chicken, so when he was home he almost always had some of it in the fridge. Quite often he would cook a big batch and freeze a good portion, so that when he wanted it there was cooked chicken that just needed to be thawed out. But he didn't know how much leftovers there would be from this chicken, if there was enough leftovers there might be some left for lunch tomorrow. Chicken was quite a versatile food and could be used in many ways, and Mathias had always thought that homegrown meat tasted much nicer than the ones you brought in the store. While this chicken wasn't fresh, it had been frozen while it was, so had still been good when he had cooked it. Plus he knew that there had been no chemicals, additives or antibiotics that had been given to the chicken, and that it had lived a happy, healthy free range life and had been killed humanely. Plus he had used for all of the parts that came out of a chicken. The chickens he had were dual purpose birds; They gave a reasonable amount of eggs and were also good eating birds. But he sometimes brought fertile meat chicken eggs and gave them to hens that had gone broody, and raising them for meat alone.

He couldn't help but chuckle as she said that Nurse Charlotte was here to help, winking and squeezing his bum. "I always like it when my nurses have a sense of humor, unlike the nurse I seemed to get on nights at the hospital in Austin. Most Germans have more of a sense of humor than she did." Germans weren't known for their sense of humor. He made sure to show off his bum as he moved, just because he knew that she liked it. He couldn't do it properly because it hurt to move, but he could a little. "You have my mother to thank for that, she made sure I knew how to cook, and she was always cooked fresh. But i'm glad I could provide a little bit of inspiration." He smiled, genuinely that he could do something like that. One of the things he was passionate about was eating real, fresh food and he loved to be able to share that passion and help other people to do the same.

"The chicken may be out of the freezer, but I can say that it was raised here, and that it lived a happy, healthy life and isn't pumped full of chemicals and antibiotics. And I even butchered it myself." Mathias would butcher his own chickens, but for bigger livestock he had a homekill guy who came in and helped with everything. He would take the meat away and put it hang it in his freezer, and would happily take all the parts that Mathias didn't want for his own uses. Mathias got the meat and any other parts he wanted back all neatly packaged and cut into exactly the cuts he wanted.

When you saw photos of Mathias as a child next to ones of Lukas there were definite similarities. Lukas's face had some of Gretta evident, but there was also plenty of Mathias; Lukas has the same eyes and the same smile. "I'm surprised my sister didn't dig out all the embarrassing photos when we visited, she usually loves to do that sort of thing." He knew that his sister had plenty of them, but for some reason she had decided not to dig them out for Charlotte.

Mathias wrapped his good arm around her as she leaned against him, amusement and love glinting in his eyes as she straightened herself up.

"I should dig out some of the photos I took when I first started driving in Formula One. Or that video that was taken during my first race, when I stalled the car on the warm up lap I was that excited." There were a few interviews that had been done with him, and not only did he look incredibly young he was also very clearly excited, trying and failing completely at hiding how excited he was to drive in his first race.

Most of the trophies were from driving, but some were from show jumping. It had been much easier for him to show jump when he was living in Europe, and had even managed to win a couple of top level events, much to everyone's surprise including his own. Considering one of the top level event he had won he had literally arrived at the event on the day he was competing after a long flight from Formula One promotional events after a race weekend. "Some of them are from show jumping as well, not just racing." He pointed out some of the show jumping ones as he spoke.

To his eyes it was a little messy. The desk had files, bits of paper and a couple of books scattered over it, and there were a couple of post-it notes stuck on the desktop computer monitor. Plus there was a forgotten, half full cup of coffee sitting on a coaster on the desk.

"I don't normally let people do so, but i'll make an exception for you. Just don't drop it." He said with a smile. The trophy cabinet wasn't locked, and he opened it and carefully plucked out a trophy with a round, circular base with a flame shape on top, handing it over to her. Some might bother with a lock, but he had never done so. He didn't think that he needed to go overboard with a lock. When she was done he carefully put the trophy back, pulling a soft cloth out of a small draw at the bottom of the cabinet to quickly polish the finger marks off it.

The next room he showed her was his little home gym. It wasn't a huge space, but it had a decent variety of equipment, with a rower and treadmill on the far side, and a variety of weights and other strength equipment in it. There was a big mirror along one wall with a flatscreen tv mounted above it, and a lcd control panel by the door, currently blank. "This is my little home gym. It was originally going to be Gretta's space, but I turned it into a gym because I like to be able to exercise before Lukas gets up. I can also control temperature and humidity in here as well so I can get used to training in the heat."

The next room was the guest room, in a relatively neutral colour and overall decor, obviously designed to appeal to a variety of people. The ensuite bathroom could be seen through a open door. "The guest bedroom. It didn't originally have an ensuite, but it was added because me and Gretta thought it would be good for a guest bedroom to have it's own bathroom." It gave a guest their own private space, which was nice.

The next was Lukas's room. Unlike some of the other rooms this one was more white than the others, but it had lots of splashes of colour all around it with toys and posters on the wall. The large photo of a Ferrari Formula One car on the wall was unsurprising, and there were a few more smaller photos of cars and a couple of ponies on the walls as well. "This is Lukas's space. He loves his bunk bed, and you can convert the bottom into another bed if he has a friend over. And he usually likes to keep it tidy, which I think is good." Everything was in it's place, neat and tidy, which wasn't always the case with children.

He showed her briefly the laundry; A narrow space but reasonably well equipped with a long bench, plus washer and dryer and a door leading outside.

The bathroom was the last stop before the master suite. Dark grey was the dominant colour, but the door leading to the sauna stood out. "I added the sauna, because I do enjoy it at the end of the day or when i'm a little sore. I made it big enough so I can lie down on the bench, but I just have to be careful if I'm using it to not fall asleep." He hadn't used it because it wasn't going to be fun with his arm in plaster, but he was tempted.

The master suite again had dark grey as as a dominant colour, with a polished hardwood floor but with a large rug around the bed. "And last of all the bedroom." The bed had been made but it was't as neat as he usually did it. He led her further inside, indicating to the walk in wardrobe. "And a walk in wardrobe. One of the things Gretta really wanted. Admittedly I like it, but I don't have nearly enough clothes and shoes to fill it up." Even with all his stuff there was still lots of space left empty, ready for someone else. At least there would be lots of space for Charlotte if she moved in one day.

The ensuite bathroom was last. But this bathroom clearly wasn't a small ensuite that had just been tacked on. It was in a similar colour to the main bedroom, and quite a good size. The shower was big enough for two, with a large rainhead shower set in the ceiling, and there was also a slide rain shower on the wall. "This is the ensuite. The bath in an overflowing one, with lights and bubbles and is absolutely lovely. Gretta wanted the TV on the wall, which I wasn't so fussed about but I do actually enjoy it every so often." There was a bit sink and bench, with plenty of space, and good lighting for someone who wanted to apply makeup. "The bath and shower were my choices, but she designed the layout. I like a good bath that is big enough for me to stretch out it, and a good shower. The shower also has body jets in the wall that you can adjust, and you can change the coloured lights in the overhead shower as well." It clearly hadn't been cheap, but it was all good quality stuff that would last, and Mathias was quite prepared to pay more for what he wanted if it was worth it.

"So what do you think?" He was admittedly a bit nervous about what she may think of his house. Because it had been designed pretty much by his late wife, he had been a bit worried that Charlotte may feel uncomfortable or not be happy in it.

'I always like it when my nurses have a sense of humor, unlike the nurse I seemed to get on nights at the hospital in Austin. Most Germans have more of a sense of humor than she did,' snickered at the comment about nurses she rolled her eyes as she was able to joke around like this with him a bit. It was nice. She laughed as he shook his butt for her and she rolled her eyes. "Oh your such a tease Mathias...." she giggled and couldn't stop giggling. He made her laugh every time they were together. That was definitely a good thing because if she weren't laughing then she would be sad. She wouldn't want that all the time. "I bet your mom was a great cook! I'm sure...." she commented when they were talking near the photos. Smirking as he mentioned the chicken being beheaded she really didn't want to know that so she just kept quiet. It was kind of gross talking about that stuff to her and she hoped that he would not talk about killing animals in front of her. Even if they were for food. She just didn't want to hear it.

His good arm was around her as they talked and walked about there trip. It had been a good few weeks and she already missed the time they had. "Ummm don't be mad...when you were out that day at the race your sister did show me some pictures of you....She snuck them in..." she laughed nervously hoping he would be ok with that. His family was awesome with her and she loved his sister like her own. She didn't have a sister so it was safe to say that she was like a sister already. They clicked instantly and talked while he was racing. Even now standing in the trophy room as she was about to hold one of his trophies she raised an eyebrow and looked over at him, 'I don't normally let people do so, but i'll make an exception for you. Just don't drop it,' she shook her head 'no' she would never drop his trophy purposely. It would be wrong. They were too precious to him. When she lifted one up in her hand after he handed it to her, the big white trophy and she gasped at how heavy it kind of was.

Then she carefully placed it back in its original case. "God damn that trophy is heavy..." she added with a gentle push into his hands so she wouldn't drop it. She noticed how messy the room was especially on top of his desk and she took not to help him clean it or organize it later. This could be for something they could work on as a team later. Seeing the open coffee cup on it too and she smirked. He really did love coffee. Just as much as she did. "My my Mathias, geez if you keep that mess up I think I may have to help you clean it up later..." she nodded as she nudged to the mess on his desk. Shaking her head in disbelief she reacted and teased him about it more. Rolling her eyes when he wiped her finger marks off the thing she scoffed at him jokingly. But they were precious to him, so she would do the same if they were hers. Maybe one day they will be if they got married. The next room had been the gym and she gaped with her mouth open admiring every little thing he had said including the temperature nozzle.

"Are you serious? Wow this room looks great! This would be good to do yoga and dance in!" she added with a smirk. Knowing that he still wasn't advancing to dancing yet. When they had gone on to the next room he had managed her to give her little information about each other and it was cute that he was quite the tour guide about it. Just like he showed her around in Germany this was the same thing. That's what she loved about him that he was able to know so much about everything. 'The guest bedroom. It didn't originally have an ensuite, but it was added because me and Gretta thought it would be good for a guest bedroom to have it's own bathroom,' she peeked her head inside as she stood by the doorway and walked in and walked back out. It was nice in here. If he was uncomfortable with her not sleeping in the same bed since it was his and Gretta's bed they could also sleep in the guest room together. Even the laundry room was big. In the guest room she did like how the walls were cream colored and the big case next to the bathroom was nice too.

The comforter looked comfy. With almost every room done, next they had gone to Lukas's room and she liked how neat his was too. Everything was organized. She had remembered the second living room from earlier and liked how the books were aligned next to each other. She wanted to come in that room and read when she could get a chance. Lukas's room was adorable and she loved how many cool things he had as a kid. She had a few things she loved as a kid, the power wheel car she had and a few close barbies, and board games she loved. There those toys that she would never forget either. Then she stepped out after he guided her to the bedroom well {their old bedroom}, she admired the colors here too. Its was beautiful. The big massive windows was part of her favorite things in his bedroom. She loved the openness and the way they could see the country side of his backyard. Though, now she could see the lights beaming from the backyard and it was dark so she couldn't really tell. She also loved how his voice got a bit more serious with the detail of it about the walk in closet, she loved that part too.

The closet was huge and she liked how big it was too when he nudged her inside. She kept some comments to herself until after he was done with the entire tour. Finally, they had stepped into his master bathroom where she had loved his sauna and she gasped at the size of his bath tub. "Crap...are you serious? This bathroom is huge. I love it! And the bath tub, think of all the naughty things we can do in there! Plus some romantic baths we can take too," she winked at him and touched every part of the walls in the bathroom and stepped close to the tub and ran her hand over the nobs. It was so generic like the shaped tub. The black complimented well with the wooden finishing too. Once he was done she looked up at him and smiled. "The bed looks really comfortable but are you sure you are ok with me sleeping in it in with you? I mean...." she paused as she had plenty more to talk about it when he had asked what she thought of it. "I do love your house babe, I really do. Ooooo I can? That actually might be helpful with the light change. It does seem lovely in the shower, and the bath tub," grinning with a big smile she blushed and with that she tugged on his arm as she plopped them both on the bed for a minute.

She realized that Lukas was still alone in the kitchen and he could pop in any time. "Do you think we have time to take a bath tonight after he goes to bed?" she asked when she didn't want to bother him too much about things like this because of his ribs and knew that if she started things they would never stop. Wrapping an arm around his neck and caressing his side she pulled him for sweet kisses. Pecking him as she did she slipped her tongue into his mouth a bit, as her hand caressed his cheek with the palm of his hand. She loved his facial hair. She wanted to see how weird this would feel if they were on his bed but at the moment it really didn't. Pulling back after she wanted some air she kept close to him and gave him a moment to reply.

Mathias couldn't help but give her a bit of good natured teasing. Unlike plenty of his countrymen he did have a good natured sense of humor, and could not only understand jokes but make them as well. For some reason he especially enjoyed doing so to Charlotte. It always made her laugh, and it was a lovely feeling that he could make her feel good and they could share a bit of a laugh together. But quite often there was truth behind his words as well. His words would be teasing, but they wouldn't just be said for fun or laughs. And he couldn't help but grin and smile as she couldn't seem to stop giggling. Especially now that he was hurt, he didn't want her to dwell on all the bad things about it. He didn't like to do so, he had always preferred to see the positive angle of things.

There were lots of fond memories of his parents. While his father had definitely been able to cook, his mother had always seen the kitchen as her domain. Despite how she had been a strong, busy working women she had always seen it as her job to take care of her husband and her children, and to keep them safe and well fed. "She was a fantastic cook. She could create a fantastic meal out of anything. Always said she learned everything she knew from her own mother, my grandmother; She was born in 1941 so grew up in the aftermath of World War 2. But despite being a strong, independent working women who ran a very successful business training and breeding race horses she also saw it as her job to take care of her husband and children. The kitchen was very much her domain, and despite how my father would also cook she never let him forget that she was allowing him to intrude on her domain."

Just like Mathias liked to grow a lot of his own fruit and vegetables and raise his own animals for milk and meat, his mother had always done that. Rather than his father, it had actually been his mother who had taught him to butcher animals. He had memories of catching wild rabbits with his father, and the man teaching Mathias how to skin and butcher them. Something that Mathias didn't think he would remember how to do properly now. "They were probably almost hippies in a way, because they were both passionate about growing and raising as much of their own food as they could. Neither liked all that processed food, and only saw it as an occasional treat, so I guess that is where I get it from." They were values that he was imparting on his own son now, and Mathias hopped that they would stick as Lukas got older.

He wasn't surprised to hear that his sister had in fact shown Charlotte some of those embarrassing photos. His mother wasn't around to do that, so his sister took it upon herself to do it. "Don't worry, I'm not mad. I knew she wouldn't be able to resist showing your all those embarrassing photos. But she turns 55 next year, I have some embarrassing photos and stories I can get her back with." Having two siblings who were so much older was strange to some, but for Mathias it was normal. They had all got along well and still had a good relationship. Despite how much older his siblings were they had always felt like siblings, even though they had always been there for parental advice after their parents had passed away. Mathias had been just twenty at the time, so they had naturally been more worried about how he would cope.

Mathias was extremely proud of his achievements both on the race track and on the show jumping course. But while he liked to have his trophies on display as he was proud of them he didn't want to appear over confident or anything like that. His little office just seemed like the perfect place to keep them. And not many people got to hold one of them. So Charlotte was definitely of of a select few who had that privilege. "This isn't the heaviest one." His room wasn't super messy, but it was by his standards. There were plenty of things that weren't in their proper place. He really needed to have a proper tidy up. "I know I do need to tidy up and organise things. But if it helps I do know where everything is." If she wanted to do something in his office to tidy it up then he wasn't going to stop her, and would probably even help her. Wiping finger marks off the trophy may seem a bit trivial and over the top, but it was something that he did after anyone handled them, himself included. Looking at his trophies and seeing finger prints on them just annoyed him.

Dance wasn't really Mathias's thing, but he did do yoga in here as well as fitness. As she had experienced before, yoga was a part of his fitness routine. It was good to both warm up and to cool down, and it was also good to help him relax. And with the heat in a formula one car, being able to work in the heat was important. That was one of the reasons he had put the heating system in. Plus he found that especially for yoga, a little bit of heat in the room helped warm and stretch muscles. "I definitely do yoga in here, but i have never danced. I think we will have to try that out one time though. But you are welcome to come in here and dance anytime." He couldn't really dance right now, but if she wanted to he wouldn't stop her.

Most women he knew thought that having a big walk in closet was a dream come true. Mathias wasn't honestly fussed, but he would admit that he did quite like that the space.

There had been a decent conversation about the sauna. Gretta initially hadn't wanted one, and definitely not in the main bathroom that all the guests to the house would see, but Mathias had convinced her in the end. The bathroom had been designed so that it didn't stick out to much, and instead was integrated into the whole thing quite nicely.

But what he loved about the master bedroom's ensuite bathroom was how it really was a nice retreat. The main bathroom was bigger, but he ensuite was still quite a decent size. Mathias always loved a good bath, and the infinity bath had to be one of his favourites. It was nice to relax in at the end of a day, to soothe sore muscles and enjoy that lovely warmth. Mathias had initially been against the tv that Gretta had wanted mounted on the wall, but now he found that he actually liked it. Not all the time, but sometimes it was nice to be able to relax in a nice, hot bath and watch something on tv. "The bath has a heater in it, so you can stay in as long as you like and the water won't get cold." He said with a grin. "And i am getting a bit of an idea about some of those things. You're a naughty little thing aren't you." They could still have some fun in the shower, but even so it was still difficult because he had to try and keep one arm dry.

The bed was extremely comfortable, but then it was quite an expensive mattress. After that big car accident in Germany he found that he always felt better with a nice mattress, he didn't get as sore or achy. And now he was certainly quite pleased that he had brought such a nice one. "It is comfortable, and I am more than happy for you to sleep in here. I presumed you would want to after all. Unless you would rather sleep in a separate bed." He didn't have any problems with her sleeping in here with him at all.

"I have always found that coloured lights in the shower can be quite soothing, and it is a pretty nice shower. There are jets in the walls as well, which are usually quite nice." He let her pull him onto the bed, all the while keeping his movements gentle enough so that he didn't hurt himself to much. "Honestly, I will to see how I am afterwards, but I would love to take a bath with you. As long you remember I can't get the cast on my wrist wet." Annoying thing it was, he always kept forgetting that he couldn't use it. It annoyed him to no end; Partly he was annoyed because he knew that he could have prevented the broken wrist by letting go of the steering wheel in his car earlier.

Her arm sliding around his neck pulled him out of his thoughts, and he slipped his good arm around her and let her pull him in for sweet kisses. Their tongues battled, but eventually he pulled away knowing that if they continued he might not be able to stop.

"As much as I would love to continue this, we are going to have to save this until later. How about we go and have something to eat?" And to make sure that Lukas was still happily occupied with the dog and not getting into some sort of trouble.

Eventually he stood up, offering her his good arm to help her up. That same arm slipped around her waist, holding her close as they headed back to the kitchen, where Lukas was still indeed playing with the dog. "Lukas, could you please wash your hands and then start setting the table?" Mathias pulled a pot out and filled it with water, setting it on the stove top to boil. "There are chicken, roast vegetables and gravy in the fridge, but I just want to boil a few more vegetables to go on the side. Would you like anything to drink?" He moved over to the fridge as he spoke, opening the door and pulling the items out of the fridge one by one, shutting the door when he had them all out.

"I might need to get you to carve the chicken though, i'm not sure I will manage very well at the moment."

Charlotte couldn't help but over hear that he mentioned his mom and grandmother. She would've like to have met his mom if she was alive again. "How come we never talked about your parents like this before? I'm so amazed at all the things they have done in there lives. They are so interesting. Better than my parents geez," she let out a little giggle as she kept up with him as she could listen to him talk all day to her. She liked hearing about his past and the stories. "Awwww but that's what makes them so great. I love that they are so natural. It would help me and my habits," Charlotte commented on the food and hoped that she could learn more from him. They were going to be eating healthy from now on even if it was something of a hobby she could do on the side and cook more for him. She did like to cook at times.

"You were such an adorable baby. I can't believe how many pictures she did show me...." answering him as she did she was trying to be cool about the conversation. She didn't like how heavy his trophy was. It was something that she would not want to touch again. "We can dance. It will be fun too, trust me. If we do it once every two weeks you can learn fast...." she egged him on and nudged his side as she was still talking in the bedroom about the previous things from the yoga room. It was fun to dance with someone and she really wanted to learn moves with an actual lover. If he didn't want to try it out with her he could at least watch her practice. She would love to get her hands on dancing by herself again in the room. Especially using some dance shoes. Ballet was something she was always so fond of too.

Charlotte wondered how long he would get what she said. With a simple giggle she licked her lips and feared that this was going to get cut short because Lukas was still waiting downstairs. "Mmmm yes I am naughty. And crazy about you babe...." she let out a little soft moan and tickled his shoulder as she moved her fingers up to soothe his neck. Charlotte really wanted to show him a good time tonight even if he couldn't do much and she hated seeing him wounded. Her being around more often would come in handy and she could always come over here and cater to his needs like she had at her house. "We can avoid the cast. I told you to be careful when driving. Didn't I say to be careful Mathias?" she said to him in a serious tone as she gathered his hand in hers. They were being rather delicate because she did not want to hurt him. The kissing was very sweet and gentle as she savored his tongue massaging hers.

She wanted to push him down on the mattress but she was soon getting a foggy mind and she had to snap out of it. Shaking her thoughts she pulled away too as he did. 'As much as I would love to continue this, we are going to have to save this until later. How about we go and have something to eat?' nodding a little before she had to get her head on straight she leaned her forehead against his for a brief second. He was being really sweet and she knew she hadn't had any since there time in Germany. She was holding off for him being sweet about it and not pressuring him with anything. She was behaving. Sitting up straight after leaning on him she stood up and straightened her dress out. "Yes, actually I'm quite famished really. I could eat anything," laughing as she hadn't meant for it to sound so silly but she giggled so he wouldn't think anything of it.

"Yea, lets go check on Lukas and Roxy. I'm sure she's giving him some cuddles and kisses..." she grinned and helped him up as she did she tended to his side every time. Her other hand was curled up on his waist so she could help him walk. It hurt her so much that he had hurt himself and she was still in shock over the whole thing. Not wanting to talk about the situation more because she knew it would make her sad. "I'm so sorry this happened to you sweetie. You know how much I love you and I hate seeing you like this....." she sighed at the same time hugging him softly. The chicken was yet to be pulled out of the oven so she grabbed some gloves near by the counter, seeing Lukas near by as she heard his father tell him to go wash his hands she nodded to him. "Go with Lukas, Roxy...it's ok..." she was quiet and had a few minutes with Mathias hoping he caught what she wanted to talk about.

But they didn't have a minute alone before he came back again. She was hoping to at least help him warm up the chicken instead of lifting it by himself. Though, it wasn't too heavy from the looks of it. She knew that he was too manly for her to do it. "Your going to have me help you do things around here love. I'm telling you, I don't want you doing everything by yourself. Is ginger ale ok? Do you have any? If not I am ok with juice or water..." she suggested hoping he did have it. It seemed to settle her stomach whenever she was in an off mood. She didn't like telling him what to do because he was a big man that handled his own things. The chicken did seem warm enough still from the oven as she grabbed one of his long knives he had out. "Sure....." she could see herself here every night making dinners for the three of them. Lukas was adorable setting up the plates like a big boy.

Taking the knife she carved through the chicken before her as she stood beside him, the plates in front of them as they wanted to be served. She liked how aligned his kitchen was and the coloring was so modern like too. "Did I tell you I love your house?" she started as she cut a few pieces that Lukas wanted and put it on his plate as they both dished out the other vegetables. It all looked amazing. He was a pretty excellent cook. "I'm going to have to cook for you two sometime. Do you like lamb? Or any other types of beef?" she asked as she hoped to seek him out on the things that he enjoyed. There were still things that she didn't know about him yet.

Another day when they had more time Mathias would talk more about his parents and his grand-parents. They were certainly interesting people, and had all led interesting and full lives. "I honestly don't know. But we should. My grandparents as well were certainly characters. But my parents came from two quite different backgrounds. My mother came from a family that was heavily involved in race horses, and my father from an automotive background. But we should. And I would love to hear about your parents." Not all parents led lives like his own did, but he would still love to hear about her parents. After all they were a part of her, they had raised her and he found he wanted to hear about them. "What do your parents do?"

"I would be happy to dance with you, when it doesn't hurt for me to move. But maybe you can give me a private performance later, when Lukas is in bed." He had a little bit of a glint in his eye as he spoke. While dancing wasn't his thing he had actually enjoyed doing it with her, and as it was something that she enjoyed he was definitely willing to do it with her. Or if she wanted to practice on her own that was fine with him as well.

She certainly did seem like a naughty little thing, but he found that he liked that. Adding a little bit of spice to life was good, it made things interesting. But they should have a proper talk later when Lukas was in bed. "I like that, and i'm crazy about you as well." He pulled her closer, tilting his head slightly as her fingers moved up his neck. He loved the feeling of her hands on his on his skin, and hoped that he could feel a bit more of them later. "Oh, I just remembered. Emil got me a cover that I can put on over my cast to keep it dry, and it works pretty well. Tried it in the shower this morning. I still wouldn't want to submerge in under the water though, so a bath will be fine."

Considering that the accident had happened by the start finish line after his car had been hit by another car when he was going close to 300 km/h and that it had gone into the catch fence separating the track from the pits and rolled along it he was pretty lucky to have the injuries that he had. It could have been far worse. But racing was always going to be dangerous, no matter how safe you tried to make it. Taking all that danger out would take away all the fun. And despite the accident and the injuries Mathias knew that he would still get back in a car and race again. Ferrari were still keen to get him back driving for next year. He wasn't the oldest driver on the field, and the oldest driver was Kimi Räikkönen who was two years older than him. Mathias still felt that he still had plenty of driving left in him, and he still wanted to win another drivers championship. "I know. If you want to get picky you can blame the driver who hit my car which sent it into the catch fence. But considering that my car went into a fence at close to 300 km an hour, which is I think 186 miles an hour, and rolled along a fence I was pretty lucky to survive with the injuries I did get. The cars are pretty strong and protected me quite well. But racing will always have risks."

Mathias had seen the car coming up behind him, but seeing as there was plenty of space hadn't been expecting the touch that had sent him into the wall with next to no time to react. "If it helps, the telemetry from the car showed that I had started breaking and changed down a gear to try and slow the car down, as well as counter steering." While he couldn't remember the accident itself, things like that were pretty much instinctive. He had seen the on board video as well as all the other angles of the crash and despite how horrible it had looked he knew that there was nothing he could do. "I only broke my wrist because I was trying to counter steer and didn't let go of the steering wheel like I should have." Letting go of the steering wheel may not seem like such a smart idea, but considering the recoiling forces you got thought he steering wheel it was a pretty good thing to do if you didn't want to end up with a broken wrist like he had.

Mathias wasn't dwelling on the accident, he wasn't focusing on the bad things. "In all the accidents I have and in my racing career, and I have had some pretty spectacular ones, this is the first time i have ever had any injury other than minor bruising and aches." He squeezed her hand as she gathered his hand in hers, and he definitely enjoyed the sweet kisses.

But they couldn't do this all night, and so they were soon heading back to the kitchen. "I'm annoyed this happened as well, and I certainly don't want to be injured." He didn't add that he was annoyed because his chances at winning the championship were completely gone because the slim margin he had been holding was going to be enough to hold off Lewis Hamilton or Nico Rosberg from overtaking him. At most he could hope for third. But he didn't think that was a good thing to say to Charlotte right now.

While Mathias didn't drink a lot of soda, he did like to have a few cans in the fridge for that occasional treat. There was usually at least one can of ginger ale in there, although if he or Lukas really wasn't feeling well he would just make ginger tea. "I think I do, just let me check." Sure enough there was one lone ginger ale can in the fridge so he pulled it out for her. "Lucky last one. Do you want in in a glass?" One of Lukas's jobs was setting the table, and he was doing it carefully. Setting place mats and coasters, then laying the cutlery out. Mathias kept an eye on Lukas while he worked but he hardly needed to because the seven year old did it all well.

"I think you have, but i'm glad that you love it. I was worried that you wouldn't like it." As the water in the pot started to boil he put the rest of the cut up vegetables in a steamer pot, putting it over the boiling water. He liked then only lighlty steamed, so it wouldn't take long for them to be ready.

Lukas wanted a drumstick, and politely asked Charlotte if he could have one seeing as she was carving the chicken. Polite as he asked for vegetables, and after Mathias added some of the lightly steamed vegetables to his son's plate the seven year old carefully carried it over to the table. "I love lamb and beef. I have lots of cuts of beef in the freezer, and lamb as well. Although I don't have as much lamb as I wanted, because my parents in law decided after hearing that I had got lambs for meat to buy my son one as a pet. And you can't keep just one sheep by itself, and i'm not about to kill my sons pet so we now have three pet sheep." Mathias was still annoyed about that.

"I was actually thinking of getting turkeys next spring. I can just by day old poults or fertile eggs and put them in with the chickens. And I usually get lambs int he spring as well, and I will probably get some more bull calves as well. Anyway, I will show you my big freezer out in the garage. I have lots of meat in there. You can pick something out for dinner tomorrow if you like." For his own plate he skipped the potatoes but added plenty of the other vegetables to his plate along with a decent serving of chicken and gravy. After carrying his plate over he poured himself a drink of water as well as one for Lukas, carrying each over one at a time.

Mathias waited until she was seated before starting to eat, slightly awkwardly because he was eating with his non dominant hand using only a fork. "So, have you ever milked a cow before?" He spoke to Charlotte, looking at her as he took a bite of chicken.

Fully noting everything he had mentioned about the bath and the shower cast he would wear over it she had some ideas and hopefully would try to make baths and showers fun for him. She wanted to nurture him back to health eventually and keeping him strong was all that mattered to her. His emotions definitely showed when they were talking about the accident after Lukas walked in to sit down politely. 'I'm annoyed this happened as well, and I certainly don't want to be injured,' she bit her lip and nodded as she comforted him with her words too. "Don't beat yourself up over it too much. I know you could've won it. But there will be other races. Sweetie, your whole life will be about racing. And you can send them down to Lukas. You know he will race for the gold too one day. I know I will never be a racer but I will be there rooting for you every step of the way..." she said sweetly as she patted his hand a little. She didn't want to be too rough since it was the hand closets to her so she just squeezed it gently.

"Thank you for setting the table Lukas darling, that's so sweet of you to do for me....Your such a good boy today are you excited for trick or treating after this?" she asked as she knew little boys liked all the attention and she forgot sometimes they were around when they were talking. She did have a love for kids and she hoped that Mathias would see that in her. "How about we do an hour or and hour and a half? I know its late for you since you do have a bed time...But since its a special maybe we can convince your father to do something special tonight?" her tone was cheery and happy as she smiled brightly at Lukas. She was hoping that he was starting to trust her a little bit at least she knew he liked Roxy. The dog was also sitting beside him on the floor as she made a little spot for herself curled up on his leg. "You may feed her a little piece of chicken. That's about it....I know she eats dog food and chewy bones and other treats I will allow you to do so ok?" as she told little Lukas that. She adored him so much.

He was the sweetest little seven year old, and they were always so cheery. She did as he had asked and served the veggies on his plate and same with Mathias she gave him the amount but a much bigger amount that he could eat since he was an adult. "Hmm thanks...Good I'll have to get some more ginger ale. It just soothes me sometimes. I love drinking teas," after serving him she began to serve herself and cut a half portion of the breast which were only two medium slices and some potatoes, along with the veggies she would have to wait to steam for a few minutes. Once she settled down across from him and beside Lukas she had the drink beside her too. "You never go to the store do you? I mean we could once in awhile," she joked as she liked how everything was fresh and indeed it was the animals that he had in his farm. She still had yet to see them. She loved animals too especially horses. Conversations in the dinner table were usually just boring and the simple ones but she still liked talking.

It was part of her job to be the conversationalist. Noticing how well she had cut the chicken in little pieces for Mathias so it was easier for him to she winked at him started to dig into her salad and chicken. Charlotte realized he was going to have a bit of trouble eating so she did move her plate across as she slid it next to him and she kindly walked out of her chair and around the other side to sit by him. "Would you like me to feed you actually? I wouldn't mind at all...." she hinted as she would play a sly nurse in training. She wondered what he would think of it. The question about the cow completely blew her mind as she nearly choked on the chicken and she coughed shaking her head, "Your not serious are you? I....Um.. well no..." Charlotte answered bashfully when she picked up her fork again and chewed the rest of her food in her mouth when she also grabbed a glass to drink she wanted to wash her food down so she could swallow easily. This was surprising for her because he would probably teach her how to do it and she would probably love to do it later.

"I'm glad you love lamb because it has to be one of my favorites. Plus we will have to cook it for my parents when they come to Connecticut for Christmas and meet you...speaking of Christmas....I know its another two months away....Do you want to start planning for that?" she asked knew it was barely Halloween and not half over but in her mind she already had it mapped out in her head she just wanted to confront him about it. Since they were dating and pretty serious about each other.

When it came to plans for next year Mathias hadn't quite made up his mind. Ferrari were very keen to get him back, and were offering a better contract than they had for this year. A bigger base salary and bigger bonuses for winning races. Plus there were other teams keen to get him driving for them; He had offers for next year from Red Bull, Williams and McLaren, and his racing manager was currently looking into the offers. After seeing his performance, and how he was able to not only win races but lead the championship in a car that wasn't as good as the Mercedes which was dominating everything this year.

So despite the reservations he had about Formula One he wasn't ready to give it up yet. "Yes, I know in my heart i'm not ready to step of my racing boots yet. Ferrari are offering me even more than they have this year, with a bigger salary and bigger bonuses for winning races or titles. Plus there are offers from McLaren, Red Bull and Williams who seem to be willing to match that. My manager is looking into the offers, so I have some decisions to make." He was happy at Ferrari, and there weren't many drivers who had stayed with the one team exclusively like he had. So in a way he was reluctant to move. "I'm not going to force Lukas into anything, but he does seem to have the racing bug. He certainly gets quite competitive when he is driving karts, and he is certainly winning. We should do that one day, go out karting together if you like. And proper racing karts, not those silly little underpowered things they usually give you." He hadn't driven a kart for a long time, although that activity would have to wait until he had started to heal a bit more. "But it would certainly be special if he was racing one day. You never know, he might have more Formula One Drivers titles than me one day."

Mathias was always thought he was incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful son. Lukas was usually pretty well behaved, and almost always seemed to enjoy being able to help Mathias out. And he certainly took his responsibilities seriously, doing everything carefully. Lukas clearly loved Charlotte praising him, and his excitement came out in a rush of words when she asked if he was excitied about trick or treating the little boy could barely sit still, practically bouncing around in his seat. But Lukas wasn't just talking about the excitement of going out and getting candy,it was everything about it that he was looking forwards to.

They had cornered Mathias into doing something special afterwards, but he found that he didn't mind. "You still have school tomorrow so I don't want you to but really late, but I think staying up a little bit late would be fine. And I know that your grandparents wanted to see your costume." Mathias's relationship with his in-laws was very much strained, as neither party liked the other. But Mathias made the effort for Lukas, and usually tried not to argue with them. But it had turned very much into a shouting match yesterday when they had seen them in the morning. Lukas stated that he would love to see them, as long as they didn't yell at each other like last time. Mathias promised that it wouldn't happen, and Lukas seemed happy.

While Lukas was occupied with feeding the little dog a small piece of chicken, Mathias turned to speak quietly to Charlotte. "Just so you know, my in-laws don't like me and I don't like them. Usually I try to get along for Lukas's sake, but yesterday I might have gotten a little angry at them. Yes, I probably should have taken more pain killers, but they had my son talking all this election propoganda after I specifically told them I didn't want them to say that sort of stuff to him. I said a few things I probably shouldn't have, but I do know that Lukas wanted them to see his costume so I will make an effort." Mathias was planning on leaving it until last, because he knew that they were unlikely to like Charlotte, but he was hopping that after last time they weren't going to turn it into another big argument. Hopefully things could be more civil. As she dished up dinner Mathias directed her to put a smaller portion that she might have otherwise given him. Healing or not, he stil didn't like to eat a big meal at night.

"I have ginger, so I can make some ginger tea for you if you like. That's what I tend to use most of the time." If she wanted to go out and buy some more ginger ale he wasn't going to stop her either. Mathias wasn't a huge tea drinker, but Gretta had been right into all he different types of tea. Mathias had frankly been skeptical about them all at first, but he had to admit that some of them had actually worked, and they had stuck. But ginger tea had always been something that he remembered his mother making as a child when he had an upset stomach. "I do, but I don't need to go as often as most people. I have grown vegetables and some fruit using hydroponics for years so I can get them fresh all year round, and I had a climate controlled glass house built at the start of last year, so I can experiment with growing plants which wouldn't normally survive. Things like cleaning products, paper towels stuff like that. Admitadly not a lot of food." He did have a flour mill, so he could make his own flour, and he had for a long time devoted patches of the paddocks he tended to use for growing hay and crops for his horses for growing grains for his own use. "Plus I can't make my own chocolate, although I would like to." His diet mainly had meat, fruit and vegetables in it, much of which he could grow himself, supplimented sometimes with stuff he brought elsewhere.

While eating with one hand was proving to be more difficult that he would have liked, it was something that he was going to have to get used to. However he didn't expect her to offer to feed him. He almost missed her playful side however, but found he was happy to play along. "Of course darling, I would like that." He had a cheeky grin on his face, part serious part joking.

He laughed as he saw her reacting when he spoke about milking the cow, patting her on the back as she coughed. "Deadly." Hearing Mathias talk about the cow, Lukas swallowed his mouthful and spoke, saying that the cows name was Daisy, her steer calf from 2015 was Enzo, and this years female calf was Dahlia. "There's nothing like milk straight from the cow. I let her milk dry up end of January because she had a calf due end of April and she needs time to rest. I can't do it properly at the moment, so I might have to get Lukas to teach you." His mother had always kept cows for milk, and they tended to end up as pampered pets. Daisy certainly did seem to like the attention, as did her two growing calves. The steer had originally been destined for the freezer but had somehow ended up as a pet.

"What cut of lamb were you thinking of cooking? I have some good sized lamb legs in my freezer which you could cook." he was happy to share meat with her, and it was likely that they would be spending it together. "I don't mind talking about Christmas. I haven't sorted plans with my siblings out though. We were sort of talking a while ago, seeing my niece lives next door not of having people over here. Because he haven't had all my family over here for Christmas." Mathias had the feeling that Christmas would turn into something big.

"That would really be fun! Go kart racing you mean? Those are a blast. I used to ride in them when I was a teen," she grinned as she liked the way how sentimental and mature he was about his goals and dreams. 'You still have school tomorrow so I don't want you to but really late, but I think staying up a little bit late would be fine. And I know that your grandparents wanted to see your costume,' she never meant to change his habits or ways knowing that he does have to get up a little early for school.

She had forgotten he did go to Zoey's school that she worked at as a secretary over there. "Oh right you did mention that in the text after you got home. I'm sorry your time with them was horrible last night. You know you can always call me any time at night..." she explained as she liked the way how close they were being with conversations and talking light so his kid wouldn't understand what they were talking about. It was so that he wouldn't repeat much of what he had said to his grandparents if he did later on.

"Yes, I'm sure he will! I know we don't want to rush him into anything...It's completely ok..." she answered him about his kid racing. That would be fun if they were there married and cheering him on in the future. Was he thinking about that too? Marriage? Charlotte sighed as she didn't want to think too much on it, when the time was right, it would be right. "You do seem a little tense tonight babe...I'm sorry, I can make you feel better tonight?" she suggested as she winked at him and leaned in for a little peck on the lips.

Nothing over board since they were in front of his kid and she didn't want to give him the wrong idea. She wasn't just some hussy in for his father she was a girlfriend of sorts, and she would hope that his son would understand one day. Letting him talk about his in- laws was something she did not want to butt in yet, because that was a serious matter though when they would meet her she hoped she could ease into the family and get them to like him later on. "Look, I know they care about you. They are old people, sometimes you can't change them...but eventually maybe I can try to help later on...." she reassured him as she caressed his cheek with her free hand.

The one hand picked up his fork after she chewed on a bit of chicken, she held it out in front of his mouth with herself scooted closer to him. "Oooo ginger is good for the stomach usually...And other health things. I would love some later tonight. Or tomorrow for breakfast...." she added with a small smile and once he accepted her food she would pick up her other fork and feed herself in between. Sharing utensils was one thing and she wasn't sure if he was ready for that yet. But she had accidentally used it in front of him and licked the fork clean with her lips. She wondered if he was staring at her.

"Ohhh oops, I wasn't sure how keen you were on sharing things with me.....Right well its good to go every once in awhile. But I love how you keep things so fresh. You will have to show me a trick to that!" she answered him as they kept talking about fresh ideas and things to do with veggies and fruit. Fruit was her favorite thing to eat and she would have to tell him which ones she liked to keep in handy for daily use. "What's your favorite fruit?" she asked wondering if she remembered if he had told her before. Apparently he hadn't or she would remember. "Mmmm chocolate...that's for sure..What about your favorite kind of chocolate?" she asked multiple questions realizing these were important things to talk about.

Continuing on feeding him her legs were close to his under the table and her shoes were coming up close to rubbing his leg. It was something she didn't want to do but it was a daring habit. When he said, 'Deadly,' serious to her she swallowed hard and looked over at Lukas hoping he wasn't serious either. Apparently, they were. She was afraid of cows, sort of, the big animals like cows, and moose, and deer she was slightly afraid of. "Haha ok....Lukas can teach me. I would like that actually. Yes, it might be hard for you right now in your condition. What did the Dr say today? Did you call him?" she asked curious about the rest of his recovery.

"Please dont laugh, but I'm...I'm afraid of cows....the male ones only. Not the female ones, they are ok..." she said quietly to him hoping he wouldn't talk out loud. "Hmmm not sure about lamb yet. Let's wait on when we get back. Speaking of which are you just about done with dinner you two? We got to get going and trick or treat after this...." then her thought turned to the Christmas situation this was going to be a tough one. Knowing her family was Greek and they celebrated it, usually with cousins, aunts, uncles, and her parents. But this year she wanted to go to Greece before Christmas and introduce them.

"Alright well how about we go to Greece before our Christmas here....and Lukas can come along too. My parents want to meet your son. They talk non stop about him. And you. My mom is so annoying at the moment. She really wants to meet you....She thinks your handsome by the way...." she rolled her eyes and laughed as she started rambling on about her family and the way she had Christmas. It would be nice to do two family things this year. "Unless its completely up to you, I know you don't want a big Christmas. I can see it in your eyes. Trust me, I don't either. With all the chaos. I also want one with just us and Lukas too..." she said sweetly as she really liked the way how he had his hat on. It was going to be taken off some time or another tonight.
