(OOC:
Lenny's Outfit
Covered in a fair amount of blood. He's been somewhat cleaned up at the hospital, but his face is still visibly bruised)

By the time Lenny had answered the cops questions and reluctantly agreed to be carted off to the hospital, it was late. Not incredibly late, not as late as it felt to him. It felt like it had been days, not hours, since he'd returned to the house Frankie had been looking after with the bottle of alcohol he'd been sent for, only for all hell to break loose.

He hadn't had time to process the attack yet, not really. He was likely still in a state of shock. Being at the hospital had actually helped, his distaste for hospitals an easy distraction. He let himself be poked, prodded, x-rayed, and would have tried to cut and run if one of the staff members hadn't said his blonde friend was footing the bill. He still checked out as soon as possible, against the advice of the doctors. He didn't care about being monitored or overnight observation - he wanted to go home.

The hospital didn't have his keys, or his phone. He couldn't remember if the police had taken them for evidence of if he'd just left them behind at the house. All Lenny knew was that he didn't have them. He did have his wallet so he was able to pay the cab driver who took him back to the apartment. That was step one and two - get out of hospital and get home - out of the way. The next was working out how to get into the apartment without alerting either Tony or Kyler and bringing on a likely barrage of questions that Lenny didn't want to deal with. He just wanted to go to bed and sleep away the nightmare the day had been.

The front door wasn't an option. He staggered around the side of the apartment block to his bedroom window instead, hoping no-one had closed it since he'd left it open. He breathed an audible sigh of relief when the crack in the window was still there. Trying to ignore the discomfort of raising his arms, even while the pain killers he'd been given at the hospital were still in effect, he managed to remove the screen from the window and push the gap open.

To anyone else, attempting to climb through a window with a mild concussion and broken ribs and possible bruising on his lungs would not even be an option. Perhaps they'd rather face questions and concern of their boyfriend and roommate instead, giving in to logic. There was no logic to Lenny's convoluted plan, only a stubbornness that was probably not helped by either the mild concussion or the dozey feeling the painkillers had given him.

He tossed the see through bag that contained pamphlets and a prescription for further pain medication into his room and attempted to follow. Lifting himself up to the window was bad enough in terms of pain. He got halfway through, gritting his teeth and snarling slightly, but only ended up wedged in the window, his feet dangling out and not even any furniture in his empty room for him to use for leverage to pull himself through. He was so close. He wriggled, trying to get free. He was determined that he could get through the window by himself if given enough time, regardless of how stuck he was in reality.

There was a sudden miaow and he looked over to see King at his bedroom door, blinking up at Lenny. "Fuck off King." Lenny managed to mumble. The only way the day could get any worse was Tony or Kyler finding him before he'd had a chance to crawl into bed.

Getting hired by the parks department had been pretty awesome, but now he had so much shit to read. Jeezus. There was this routine thing for keeping stuff together. Then there was the whole 'where supplies are'. THEN there was this manual on how to operate the machinery. Lawnmowers, lifts, lawnmowers that were lifted. He was gonna get this. Everything felt right. He had a glass of orange juice, King in his lap, 'n was slouched comfortably with his feet up on the table. Better yet? Nobody was home. Maybe Ky would take over part of the rent if he continued to keep his ass here. Seriously. He owned the blond for letting him stay rent-free in Mariet, but this was just.. not r-

Where was King going?

Tony's eyes watched the giant orange cat make his way down the hallway 'n figured he was probably gonna get food or use the litterbox. Hearing him mew sent hairs up the back of his neck though. He stuggled to his feet 'n dumped the book on the couch without thinking about leaving something to mark his spot. King's tail bobbed in the doorway to Lenny's room 'n as it dissappeared he heard Lenny's voice. Which was impossible. TOTALLY impossible. Lenny was out. The Mime entered the room prepared to see somebody with a recorder ready for a fight, but instead he found his roommate stuck in the window.

Seriously. He was stuck.

"The...fuck?" Tony stared at him without knowing what any of this was. Was Lenny seriously trying to get in the window? "Are you...." No, this was Lenny he was talking to. "You know we have a door, right? It's in a hallway next to other doors 'n has a knob for turning. Usually that lets people into the apartment." Wait for it, he was gonna put money on the dude losing his keys then being too macho to just walk in the front door or knock. Seriously. "King, No!" The cat had jumped ontop of Lenny's shoulders 'n was getting comfortable. He shouldn't have showed the animal how to do that. The Bouncer turned on the light then turned it off again. "Duded, did you get in a fucking fight?" It looked bad. "Did you win?" If not, he'd have to hunt the asshole down. Seriously, his friend was a fucking mess.

As if the day could even get any worse , of course, of course Tony had to follow King into the bedroom. Lenny glowered further at the cat he was usually wary of annoying, too annoyed himself to care. Why did people never believe him when he claimed cats were evil? Even cats like King, who he could 'tolerate', apparently still had their evil moments. Truthfully, he had grown fond of the huge cat and did like King most of the time, he'd even cuddle the cat (when he thought no-one else was watching), but he was not in the mood at all, strung out and in pain and with absolutely no patience to spare.

Lenny's glare did nothing to deter the cat, who suddenly decided the best thing to do was jump onto Lenny's shoulders. Tony was talking and Lenny was shrugging to try and get the cat off of him, hardly listening to what Tony was saying. Did he get into a fight? Did he win? Those were exactly the type of questions he'd wanted to avoid answering ayway. "No! And no - I mean yes, I mean... I'm fine! I just wanna go to be- fuck!" Lenny tried to answer Tony, batting at King with his hands to no avail and suddenly realising that King wasn't climbing over him to get out of the window as Lenny had originally thought, but had settled on his shoulders like Lenny was some sort of cat perch. "What the fuck? What the-!?" Lenny cursed, thrashing around to try and dislodge the cat and only meriting four sets of claws dug into his shoulders instead. "FUCK!" He hollered. "Tony, get the fucking cat off me! Fucking cat- fucking KING!" He wriggled more, which only made his side stab with pain, which only made Lenny more irate in turn and only succeeded in annoying the poor cat, who had no idea what was going on. Lenny's frustration built up into a growl which soon turned into an angry scream, King's ears practically turning backwards at the sound.

Dude, Lenny didn't look too good. It was pretty obvious he had gotten hit with something. Tony was curious if it was a fight 'n if the dude won or if he needed to go track somebody down 'n flatten their face.. "No! And no - I mean yes, I mean... I'm fine! I just wanna go to be- fuck!" Jeezus, King. The cat had jumped ontop of Lenny 'n curled up on the back of his shoulders. "What the fuck? What the-!?" Yeah, that was kinda a suprise. "FUCK! Tony, get the fucking cat off me! Fucking cat- fucking KING!" The Mime watched for a long moment, measuring when it was best to reach his hands into the beartrap that was the giant cat. "Uh... yeah. Stop flailing." He murmured.

King wasn't exactly easy to pry off the other man. The cat wanted to sit on him 'n that was where he was determined to stay. Tony had to unattach him a paw at a time 'n stroke his thick fur to appease him. "There. Now can you get out of the fucking window?" He kinda got the feeling Lenny was stuck. "You look pretty weird. What if the neighbors see you?" They might think somebody was breaking in 'n call the cops. "I'm gonna go outside 'n give you some help. Don't scream. Is wear I'll set the cat on you if somebody comes by to see if we are okay'n I'm not just gonna say that we were masturbating to loud porn or some other excuse. " He would say 'fucking', but he didnt' want to sleep with his best friend's boyfriend or his roommate. Neither were good ideas. Not to mention?Same person.

Wandering out of the apartment, he left King calling after him. The cat only wanted Lenny 'cause he didn't want the cat. Now the cat had a new person to be upset about. Tony figured he'd appease him later with an extra helping of food. He was more concerned with Lenny's legs outside the window. "Okay, dude. I'm gonna give you something to stand on. Kick me 'n I'll yank you out again so fast you won't have time to scream ow." Seriously, he'd stand the bitching. Getting kicked was a good way to piss him off.

He turned around 'n pressed his back against the other's feet. Using his hands wouldn't secure anything. They'd just move around. This was secure, flat, stable. He let Lenny get himself moved around properly so he didn't do anymore damage. Maybe when this was over he'd get answers. "You gonna need an ice pack?" He asked casually, staring off into the distance.

King's claws in his back really weren't that much pain considering the events of the day, but they felt like an extra slap in the face. His screaming and shouting had been a vent for his frustration but they'd also sapped Lenny's energy and left him feeling like a limp rag-doll hanging through the window. "Now can you get out of the fucking window? What if the neighbors see you?" All he managed in response was a glare.

It wasn't long before Tony's voice came from the other side of the window. "M'not gonna kick you." Lenny muttered darkly, rolling his eyes, the thought not having entered his head until Tony mentioned it, and then he was only tempted to kick his roommate for mentioning something so stupid.

With Tony's back to stand on he was able to get some purchase and managed to get himself moving, trying to ease his body as carefully as possible into the room. Holding himself up by his arms to try and get his legs over the ledge wasn't proving easy or as polished a move as Lenny might be able to pull off if he was in his best condition. He made it into the room - landing in a crumpled heap in the floor from falling rather than climbing.

He groaned. He'd landed on his better side. "An ice pack... would be good." Lenny admitted, trying to throw off the feeling that the painkillers from the hospital were beginning to wear off. He stumbled to his feet, still reflexively clutching at his side, and walked into the lounge to meet Tony there. He'd hardly succeeded in entering the apartment unseen and he had no energy left to fight the explanation he knew he owed. He sank down onto the couch.

"It's been the worst fucking day." He muttered, leaning into the corner of the couch.

Once Lenny’s ass was in his room, Tony check to see he wasn’t dead ‘n then headed back inside. Nobody was out looking at him like he was a creeper so he figured they’d gotten away with breaking into their own apartment. Joy. He blew out his nose in a soft exhale, hoping that whatever was going on didn’t have anything to do with Ky. That would be the most awkward bullshit EVER. He could just imagine Ky ‘n Lenny tip toeing around the apartment like there was gonna be an explosion if they got caught being mad at eachother.. or something like that. Who knew what was really going on.

Walking in his door, he went straight for the freezer. He pulled out an ice pack and a bottle of vodka as Lenny slumped on the couch. ”It’s been the worst fucking day” No shit. And here he thought it must have been fucking magical. ”Yeah?” He murmured, pouring two glasses of orange juice before wrapping the ice pack in a towel ‘n slinging it over a shoulder. ”Here. I got you a glass of orange juice ‘n a bottle of vodka. Let’s get trashed ‘n talk.” The Mime settled smoothly onto the couch ‘n set his plastic cup of orange juice on the table in front of him.

”Oh shit, forgot King.”

AAAND up he got.

He handed the ice pack to Lenny as he passed him, stopping to open the door ‘n listen to the cat howl indignantly that he would have starved to death ‘n would exact revenge later with a hairball on somebody’s clothes. Tony ignored him mostly. ”I couldn’t remember what kinda vodka you got so I picked this stuff up. Usually I just ask people to make me drinks at work so it isn’t like I ever look. Hopefully ‘Blue Skyy’ isn’t shit.” Not that it really mattered when it was mixed. He ran his fingers through his curly hair ‘n took a seat. ”So what happened?”

Talk? Lenny's brain made a protesting sound. Trashed? That was much more like it. He took the glass of orange juice first, the coldness of the juice transferring to the cup and tempting him to press it to the swollen parts of his face in relief before taking a sip. Eyes closed, he took another sip. He hadn't eaten in hours, his stomach even empty, but the pain in his chest with each breath was actively chasing away any hunger.

When Tony passed over the ice pack, rather than hold it to his face, Lenny pressed it to his side, taking a sharp intake of breath at the simple touch, the breath itself only bringing on more pain. He sipped tentatively, perhaps miserably, at the orange juice. He wanted to down mouthfuls of the vodka in an attempt to leave his discomfort and pain behind, but he didn't have enough hands and he didn't want to move because moving only equaled pain. Everything seemed to equal pain. No matter how he sat, he was uncomfortable. He felt like lying on the floor in a sorry heap, only he thought that might hurt too.

Lenny made a pathetic groaning sound. It was both at the pain he was feeling physically and the mental pain of trying to make head or tails of what had happened to even begin explaining it.

"Was at Frankie's," His words slurred together slightly as he spoke, his mouth showing the effects of his tiredness, "At Frankie's friend's," he corrected, frowning, making grunts of discomfort every few breaths. The ice pack was helping, but it wouldn't heal injuries that would take weeks of rest to alleviate, "No." He shook his head, sighing, and started the story again, " A... months ago, this guy. I found him with Frankie, in an alleyway, he wouldn't leave her 'lone, so... I hit him 'til he did." He rolled his eyes, resting his head against the back of the couch, "N, I thought it was over. But, today... I wenna get something to drink and when I came back, there was this guy in the house... and a guy with Frankie and..." He let out a shallow breath, still shocked at the series of events. "It w'so fucked up. I d'neven what they wanted." There was exasperation evidently in Lenny's voice, "Fuck, Tony." His hand holding the orange juice was shaking and he set it down on the arm of the couch. His nerves were frayed to shit. His voice lowered, hoarse. "I thought... I thought the guy was gonna... gonna kill her. Or... or worse.." He stared ahead, his gaze wide and speaking of the terror he'd felt earlier.

He glanced sideways to Tony. "Fuck." His breath shuddered as he breathed out. He could hardly believe it had actually all happened, it still felt so fresh and unreal. He tensed, returning to stare at the bottle of vodka, that he didn't want to move to reach out and grab off the table, as a focal point, his brain skipping over a lot of what had happened. "N'then... the cops came, and they made us go get checked out at the hospital and... now m'here." He finished, frowning. "Dunno where my keys are..." He rolled his eyes, groaning in frustration, "Or my phone." They were all fractured parts of an explanation that might have made sense if properly put together, but Lenny didn't have the brain power to do so. "Fuck." He complained, gritting his teeth, each angry or frustrated breath spiking a pain through his chest where he'd been kicked, "My fucking chest hurts." The pain killers were definitely wearing off.

He wasn’t used to having friends who could fight. Like, there was Jem, but Jem didn’t talk about his fighting. They just sorta got into it together ‘n then got out of it. Listening to Lenny had him feeling super weird. Like, he wanted to go help the dude ‘n he couldn’t ‘cause it was over. The story sounded pretty simple, but fighting shit was usually more than just looking at somebody ‘n then throwing a punch.

So some dudes got pissy ‘n came back to get even ‘cause they couldn’t hit on a chick. They tried to fuck her up, but Lenny stepped in ‘n got the shit kicked outta him. "Fuck, Tony. "I thought... I thought the guy was gonna... gonna kill her. Or... or worse.." The Mime nodded silently, spiking his orange juice with vodka. ”Fuck.” If he ever met these fuckers he was gonna trash their faces. . "N'then... the cops came, and they made us go get checked out at the hospital and... now m'here." Okay, hospital was involved. Jeezus. "Dunno where my keys are... or my phone. Fuck." Okay, he should probably do something. His friend was getting worked up. "My fucking chest hurts." Uh.. how exactly was he supposed to do that?

”Jeezus, dude.” The bouncer leaned forward, setting his drink down on the table. ”Sounds like a fucked up night. Wish I was there to back you up.” Life didn’t work that way. ”I’d hit them too.” The Mime gently put a hand on his friend’s shoulder ‘n squeezed. ”You need ta go lay down ‘n take the stress off your chest. What meds do you got? I c’n go to the pharmacy ‘n pick shit up if they gave you a prescription.” He needed to go chill out himself ‘cause he could feel the familiar feeling of rage in his chest. It used to be all he fucking was.

”hmm...” What else should he do? ”I c’n stop by the hospital ‘n check for your phone or stop by the person’s house you coulda left it at if you like. “ Yeah, that’d be good. ”If there is anything else, let me know. Not like I’m gonna blow your or anything, but I got arms ‘n legs ‘n shit. Ky c’n probably help you with that when he gest home.” Yeaaah, THAT was gonna be beautiful. He couldn’t wait to hear that bullshit go down.

Lenny wished so much that Tony might have been there with him, or anyone who could have helped. He nodded, letting out a vague groaning sound as an agreement.

"M'fine..." Lenny tried to say, arguing against the need to lie down even though he wanted to sleep. It felt like moving again would just be too difficult. His expression creased into a frown as he thought about medication, "I got a prescription... I think... somewhere..." It was still on the floor in his room, where he'd thrown it before attempting to get through the window.

The issue of his phone seemed more important while he wasn't thinking straight. "Yeah..." he agreed, "Yeah... that'd be good." He huffed out a thin chuckle when Tony mentioned not blowing him. "Ky doesn't like sharing." he said, still smiling at the sentiment from Tony. He turned his head to look at Tony, his smile fading, thoughts clouding his mind. "What's up between you and Kyler?" he asked, biting at his lip. Even Lenny, with his usual obliviousness, had noticed that something was up between the two, seemingly stemming from his and Kyler's getting together. He hadn't noticed anything amiss before then and the odd argument that had taken place. "Is it 'cause of me?" It was an easy distraction from his injuries and having to do anything.

He was gonna have to make sure shit got taken care of while Lenny was out of commission. Tony figured he’d just pick up the dude’s shifts at the club ‘n get his prescription. Ky would take care of the rest. ”What’s up between you and Kyler?” It was about time he fucking asked. Jeezus. ”Is it ‘cause of me?” Pff. ”You know you should be able to trust your boyfriend with telling you shit.” He took a drink of his vodka spiked orange juice ‘n then set it on the table. ”I’m not surprised though. Conversations like that don’t give him what he wants.”

Whatever.

”Ky ‘n I have known eachother since we were kids. you know how he clings to people ‘n wants all the attention? He was like that too. It’s why he hates his baby sister too. Like, it’s the Kyler show or nothing.” He was being a little pissy, but like he said.. whatever. ”When I was a kid I had friends, but then I met Ky. Ky didn’t like other kids ‘n so he chased them away. No friends as a kid, no freiends in elementary school, no friends in middle school. Just him. “ It made him a little more angry thinking about it. ”I mean, at the time he probably sheltered me from the stupid shit. I dunno how other kids woudla been if they knew I was a mime or danced. It wasn’t until he left with his family that I got a taste of the worst in people. I got my ass kicked all over the fucking place ‘cause I was different.” Okay, that was only part of it.

Shit, what else should he say?

”There was this guy.. Brendyn Hartwell, I think? The douche was a fucking asshole. I mean, fucked in the head. He had a rep. Ky had the biggest fucking crush on him too.” Gawd he hoped the dude’s dick withered ‘n fell off. ”Any time Bren so much as walked by us, Ky abandoned me. Then when was gone or said something that hurt his feelings? Ky was all over me like flys on shit. I’ve been the back up to every fucking thing that he has wanted.” It was starting to feel good to talk about it. Seriously good.

”When his parents weren’t giving him attention he came to me, when his crush wasn’t around or wasn’t interested in playing with him? Me. I’ve been a back up snuggle buddy that he uses when he’s feeling upset that somebody else isn’t giving him what he wants ‘n I’m never off limits. “ His brow wrinkled slightly, turning to Lenny with a point of his finger. ”When he first came here he immediately started a fight. It’s ‘cause he’s still the same fucking brat he was as a kid. He doesn’t want me to know anyone ‘n He wants me to be there when you aren’t. The reason he’s mad is because this is the first time I put my foot down. Ever. “ In otherwords, Ky is living a fucking grown up life ‘n was still the same kid he was when Tony met him. ”I’m not saying I hate him. He’s my best friend ‘n we’ve been through some real shit. I honestly think we are closer as adults than we were as kids ‘cause I am not just following him around ‘n doing what he wants. I’ve got a life ‘n I have shit to do outside of him.”RIGHT

”So, things will be alright. They just won’t be until he gets it through his thick skull that he has a guy in his life that he should respect ‘n trust. If you let him walk all over you you’ll be no metter than me as a kid. He’s gotta learn that relationships aren’t just the Kyler show. That goes for me ‘n that goes for you. I don’t have time to sit here ‘n just let him snuggle me or sleep in my bed. That’s over. When he gets it we’ll be fine. Until then shit on my end is gonna be rough.” Turning to his drink, he took a moment to nurse the weird thrill he was feeling. It was kinda the first time he had admitted outloud that he was more than some lacky with muscles there to back Ky up when he opened his big fat mouth.

hmm..

”If this doesn’t work though? I’ll move out before it causes you problems, Lenny. Promise. Ky has plenty of money ‘n can pay rent just fine. I won’t let you get caught in the middle of a shit storm in your own home. That’d be uncool.”

While Lenny had been hoping for a distraction, he hadn't quite been expecting the distraction of the century that came out of Tony's mouth.

It started off with Lenny frowning, already confused. ”You know you should be able to trust your boyfriend with telling you shit.” - ”I’m not surprised though. Conversations like that don’t give him what he wants.” He know what Tony meant, only that he didn't seem to be saying anything nice about Kyler. He hadn't 'officially' been with Kyler long, only a few days. There had been that time Lenny had tried to talk to Kyler about something and although he knew he hadn't gotten the conversation he'd wanted, he couldn't remember why.

His head already hurt too much to think about it too deeply. He tried to listen, tried to piece things together as Tony spoke. Did Kyler cling to people and want all the attention? To Lenny, it seemed like he wanted to give Lenny all his attention. He never even knew Kyler had a sister. Tony kept going, leaving Lenny feeling overwhelmed. It might have been the most he'd ever heard Tony say at once. He wished he was with it enough to properly process what Tony was saying, because it felt important.

It also felt decidedly awkward, hearing his friend talk about his boyfriend. Lenny didn't know why or what he was supposed to do, only that he felt out of his depth and very uncomfortable.

"If you let him walk all over you you’ll be no better than me as a kid." Lenny frowned, shaking his head slowly. He didn't let Kyler walk all over him. Why would Tony even think that? He got distracted, mulling over the loaded sentence, before something Tony said bought his concentration back to the present?

"If this doesn’t work though? I’ll move out before it causes you problems..."

Wait, what?

"Huh?" He stared at Tony, hardly believing what he was hearing, "What? No... you.. uh, what? You don't have to move out? This'... this' your home too?" He stared at Tony, taken aback by how serious the situation had suddenly gotten, his voice sounding like it was drifting. He'd known Tony and Kyler had been at odds but not that it was anywhere near that bad. He stared at Tony, his side aching, and tried to piece everything together. Tony thinking about moving out was a change Lenny didn't think he could handle when it was sprung upon him so suddenly, a change he didn't want to have to deal with.

"It.. I mean... it - it sounds like shit, but..." He frowned, trying to work out what he was trying to say, "Shit." He groaned, unable to even rub a hand down his face because he was all banged up. "I don't want you guys to argue." Lenny said, his voice quiet. He sighed. "I mean, you're still friends, right?" He looked to Tony before glancing away, "I mean, he came here to see you..." He trailed off, trying to work out something to say to make Tony want to stay, to mend the rift between him and Kyler. "Um... I... maybe I could try and talk to him?" Lenny suggested, but he both looked and sounded unsure even as he spoke. It wasn't exactly a conversation he wanted to have with Kyler. He still hadn't spoken with him about Kyler still wanting to cuddle with Tony, still hadn't addressed the issue that had come up when Tony and Kyler had their argument. Lenny had been avoiding it and hoping that the issue might just go away, letting himself get caught up in the initial rose-tinted glasses stage of his relationship. "If you're friends, it'll all work out, right?" Lenny asked Tony, sounding naive and helplessly hopeful that it could all be solved so easily.

”Huh? What? No... you.. uh, what? You don’t have to move out? This’ ...this’ your home too?” No shit sherlock. ”Yeah, I know.” He could see that Adulting was hard for Lenny right now. It was usually hard for him, but right now he was out of it. "It.. I mean... it - it sounds like shit, but... Shit." Was he even getting any of this? "I don't want you guys to argue." Reaching out, he patted the other man’s shoulder gently. "I mean, you're still friends, right?" This wasn’t a divorce ‘n Ky ‘n him weren’t his parents.. why did it feel like that?

"I mean, he came here to see you... Um... I... maybe I could try and talk to him?" Was it really that hard to get? ”Don’t worry about it. When Ky realizes he can’t just snuggle me or hold my hand or sleep in my bed, we’ll be fine. He’s just gotta figure shit out himself.” Or never. that could happen too. "If you're friends, it'll all work out, right?" If? ”We are still friends, Lenny. Friends don’t always get along. I don’t have many friends, but I at least know that.” It might as well have been ‘don’t worry, mom ‘n me will still love you. We just don’t want to be together anymore’.

Getting up, he stepped over King ‘n headed for Lenny’s room. ”I’ll see if your prescription is in here. Just relax, Dude. You’ve had a hard day.” He was worried about his friend, but believed that the guy would be fine. ”Ky has a shit-load of bad qualities, but his good ones are fucking awesome. I’m not exactly the easiest person to be friends with ‘n he does just fine with me.” There it is. The Mime pocketed the prescription ‘n made a note to go out for it as soon as his friend was comfortable. ”Need more orange juice?”

Even after all that Tony had said, Lenny didn't really understand what the problem between he and Ky was. Tony had said a lot, but it was a lot of old things, stories and comments and opinions that Lenny couldn't understand why had taken until now to become a problem. Then Tony said he and Kyler were still friends and he was left even more confused. If they were friends, why was Tony talking about moving out?

The blank stare he focused on Tony told all.

Tony got up to go and get Lenny's prescription and even though he'd been told to relax, Lenny was still trying to put what Tony had said together. He did grunt an agreement that he'd had a hard day.

"You can pass me the vodka." He muttered when Tony offered more orange juice, not wanting to move to reach the liquor bottle on the table in front of them in case it sparked off pain again. He was debating just sleeping on the couch where'd sat.

"So..." He was still preoccupied with the everything that Tony had told him, "You're... still friends with Ky, but.. you're mad at him? Because... he wanted to snuggle with you?" He asked, his eyes narrowing. He hoped he'd gotten that right. He sighed, rolling his eyes, "I don't really get why he wanted that either." He admitted. "But then, I dunno, I don't get a lot of stuff. I mean, fuck... how did you even get that, y'know, me and Ky, back when he first came in and it was like you knew about us before anything had even happened?" He squinted at Tony, "I had no idea back then." He admitted, "If you ever get bored of animals or shit... you could be some TV psychic or shit." He started rambling, leaning against the side of the couch with the ice-pack pressed carefully to his chest. He glanced up to offer Tony a half-smile, "I guess you're not gonna marry a cat or shit after all, huh?" He said, referencing his comment from the day Kyler had turned up at the apartment.

Kat

King was making himself bigger now. The cat had stretched out between the table ‘n couch, leaving no fucking space for feet. Tony just reached over him to give Lenny the vodka. Not THAT big, cat. "So..." This should be good. The Mime could almost see the hamster turning. "You're... still friends with Ky, but.. you're mad at him? Because... he wanted to snuggle with you? Jeezus. That was both true ‘n totally not right. ”Just imaging him in my bed. I know you don’t want him there ‘n I don’t either.” Hopefully the blond got the idea soon.

Lenny was still going..

, "I don't really get why he wanted that either. But then, I dunno, I don't get a lot of stuff. I mean, fuck... how did you even get that, y'know, me and Ky, back when he first came in and it was like you knew about us before anything had even happened?" Because the lightening and thunder, dude. "I had no idea back then. If you ever get bored of animals or shit... you could be some TV psychic or shit. Tony just stared. "I guess you're not gonna marry a cat or shit after all, huh?" The fuck. ”Why would I Ever marry a cat, dude? I’m not a furry or a.. uh.. whatever sick twisted pervert thinks cats are hot. I’m human and I’m gay.. and I’m not fucking sick.” Jeezus. He was gonna think about this later ‘n STILL facepalm.. except instead of being in his head he was really gonna smack himself in the forehead.

He hopped over the table, landing gently on the couch. It wasn’t hard. ”Anyway, I just wanna make sure that this bullshit doesn’t continue for a million yerars. Ky is stubborn.” VERY stubborn. ”I don’t want world war three in my apartment so if shit doesn’t work I’ll just get a new one. No biggie.” He was gonna hate himself ‘cause rent. Then again, he got THIS apartment because he knew he could afford to go it alone if Lenny didn’t pay his bills.”It isn’t like we’d stop talking or anything. I hate people, but I don’t hate you... tired yet?” He should probably see if the guy was about to pass out. ”While you sleep I’ll go get your meds. They’ll be waiting for you when you wake up.” The cat slunk out of the room again ‘n he finally had foot space again. He stretched his legs out until they were under the table.

”Do.. you want me to keep an eye on Frankie?” If there was one thing he was pretty good at it was protecting people. ”I don’t mind keeping an eye on her if it will make her feel safe, ya know? I got your back.” It wasn’t like Lenny was gonna be able to do it.

No, Lenny didn't like the idea of Kyler in Tony's bed. He just 'hmmph'd in response, his eyes narrowing. His brain was hardly in top thinking order, but even in his prime, Lenny often lived in a little world of his own. His comment about Tony 'marrying a cat' was a perfect example.

"What?" He frowned, his eyes almost closed, as he tried to work out why Tony was mentioning sick, twisted perverts and - oh, "Shit, no, Tony... I... fuck, I just meant like, you'd grow old with the cat or whatever. Like that kinda married. Because you had no idea about... relationships and shit, so you'd have to grow old with a cat. Not like.. fuck, that's gross. Even just old people doing it are gross. Fuck. I just meant... shit, I didn't mean like that." He pulled a face to display how he felt about Tony's wrong end of the stick, somehow managing to do the impossible and sink further into the couch. "But... anyway... I guess you were right or shit, so you won't..." It was all a moot point because the claim Tony had made which Lenny thought had made him unknowledgeable in romance and relationships had actually rung true after all.

Thinking was growing too much for Lenny. He just wanted to sleep, only his chest was hurting a little bit too much to make that possible. He nodded when Tony mentioned medication. Whatever they'd given him at the hospital had made him feel woozy, ready to sleep.... before it had worn off in the hours later it had taken him to be processed, check out, and get home. "Tired... but, I dunno, I might need my meds to totally sleep. My ribs are fucking killing me."

The thought of Tony looking after Frankie was a comforting one. "M'yeah." Lenny nodded again, then frowned, "Maybe all of us. Those guys... they knew where we were. I dunno.. if they followed us or shit." He groaned. Lenny wasn't thinking about himself so much, but Frankie was more vulnerable. Min, too. And Kyler, while he was staying with Tony and Lenny. Kyler... he wanted nothing more than to curl up in bed next to him and forget the previous hours as if it had never happened.

"Wait," Lenny looked around the apartment, finally realising something. "Where's Kyler?"
