Have you read the Newspaper?
You can read it Here

The Lochland Times has opened their doors to Lochland Grove students to help write April's newspaper. What did they write about? Rain, illegal hunting traps, fireman's breakfasts, art exhibitions, and so much more.

You'll have to look inside to see.

Welcome to Lochland Grove
Open since January 2, 2014

We are a Real Life Roleplay site focused on enriching character driven stories through events, newspaper headlines, and even death. Set in modern day Connecticut, our background plot follows the on-goings of a small town with a murderous past. Whether your character explores it is up to you. Life is about choice - this is your story. Our goal is to provide a place where you will feel comfortable writing it. Come join the fun!

Student Art Exhibition

Students from Kindergarten to College are displaying their art for the community.

Fireman's Breakfast

The Fire Department is running a fundraiser and cooking plenty of bacon and eggs. Come support the LGFD.

Spring has Sprung!
Hello Lochland!

March is the crazy time of year nobody warned you about.. The first day of spring, st patrick's day, time changes, etc. We hoped everybody survived. Now that April is around the corner, we thought we’d go over some of the things currently going on in Lochland. Most of you’ve heard before, but a little repetition isn’t a bad thing. Let’s get started!

1. The Activity Check is coming. Our ACs are always the 1st through 8th of every month. Well, mostly every month. We do not have ACs in May or December to make it easier on our students.

2. The Temp Forums Changed, and will change again March had a lovely St Patrick's Day bar Crawl. You can check it out - here

3. Congratulations to Frankie Nazarro & Min Foster for winning the Free Date drawing at the Ice Skating Rink. Anyone who had a thread there was put into a drawing. All threads for temp forums 'blind date' and 'couples ice skating' have been moved to continuity.

4. The 22th Edition of the Lochland Times is out! You can read it Here. Enjoy!

5. We are rewriting a few things on the site and we’d like your help. While most people don’t notice a forum description’s change, some might notice the constantly evolving blips on our skin for the newspaper and events. Lochland is always in a state of change, and while some happen bi monthly, it is good to make sure the site as a whole continues to evolve. This april we will be rewriting our advertisement along with any typos we find on the site. We’d also like to rewrite areas that might be unclear. If you have any suggestions for places that aren’t clear, we’d like to know. That said, we may be sending out a survey soon. Please feel free to respond if you have the time.

Whew, what a paragraph. To make things short, we want to make our site better and reach a larger quantity of people. Already we are pushing in new advertising directions, but we want to make sure that we are putting our best foot forward. Think of things you like about the site, things you think other people would enjoy. It will give you a head start on the answers to our questions.

6. Lastly, As we are working on making things better, we would like to remind everyone of a few of our features, and interesting information... etc. etc. etc.

-Our site is focused on enriching character-driven stories through the aid of events, newspaper headlines, and murder.
-Our site plot does not require mandatory participation. Not everybody reads the newspaper or participates in local events. If they aren't the type then maybe they don't need to know what is going on... or maybe they talked to someone who told them about it. Their story is all up to you.
-We would never kill a character without permission. If you would like to kill your character off, you can sign them up for death.
-We are LGBT friendly.
-The setting is small town Connecticut in Modern day. When this was written it was 03/29/17.
-We have a 200 word minimal word count.
-There is a profile section for members to put down information about themselves. It has sections for violence, mature content, language, mirroring, and event a spot for pre-determined relations.. oh and a clock. wondering if somebody is awake? Check it. The point of the Member Profile is to take away the awkward encounters that sometimes pop up durring rp. Some people aren’t comfortable with mature content, violence, etc. Here is a place to make that preference known.
-Did you know we have an open threads board? Probably. If you have an open thread, post it there to get it a little advertisement.
-The newspaper has a help wanted section devoted to employment. If your character has a private business and would like to have employees, you can put an add there and update it as employees come and go.
-If you miss an activity check, your character will be safely in a folder waiting for you. You have to be gone for not one but two activity checks for them to be put in the archives.
-There are no activity checks during May and December. These months are during Finals for those in school. We are not here to stress our members. I it is the same reason our ACs happen on the 1st of every month.
-Speaking of not stressing. Have you looked at our absence information? We have partial, full, and informal absences. They are tools to make your time on Lochland as stress-less as possible.

There is probably more, but we’ve taken enough of your time. Enjoy the last few days of March, Lochland.
