They day had been interesting so far and Theo couldn't be certain if that was a good thing or not, in fact, he was rather confused by the events up to that point. His walk had started off as normal, a subjective word but self-explanatory enough, it was uneventful up to the point that he had stopped to observe a street performer. Admittedly, the moves were interesting and he could have allowed himself more time to watch but felt it best not to linger. Upon trying to walk away, the dancer had called him back to question over a large bill and then… Hm. It had all been overly perplexing and somewhat frustrating for the Dane as his newest acquaintance had a particular habit of invading his personal space.

On a brighter note, he had managed to broker the return fee for his father's watch that had been procured with nimble fingers. The logistics of why he was paying to get his own item back had already been discussed with the other man and Theo simply found it easier to do it this way quickly than to try and involve the police and possibly never see his cherished heirloom again.

As per the terms of their agreement, Theo had agreed to allow Charles to clean up and enjoy a meal at his home and trade a six-hundred dollar sum to have the watch back. It seemed fair enough to him considering the dancer could have probably used brute force and took off with the item if he had seen fit. He had shown some manner of mercy instead and he was grateful for that.

The walk back to his abode was uncomfortable due to the wet clothes and though it was far from unbearable he was relieved to step back into his home. The lower level was quite open and from the front door, the back of the house was visible. A small hallway opened to the kitchen on the right with a coat closet and a bathroom on the left. Further back were the dining and living areas with large glass windows opening up the space for natural light. Past the bathroom was a staircase that led to a landing that he used for office space and behind that was his bedroom.

He waited for Charles to follow him in and then made sure the front door was latched closed. "Welcome." The space was somewhat small but he didn't need a lot for just himself and it was decorated cozy enough.

So his day was not exactly going as expected. When Charles had gone out this evening, he had been hoping to make a few extra dollars legitimately and even more illegally. But it seemed that his attempts to do so were foiled by a thunder crash and a spasic mark. He supposed it could have been worse. Theo could have called the cops and dragged this whole thing out. But, instead, he surprisingly wanted to make a deal. He was willing to pay cash, offer a shower, and dinner, in exchange for the watch. Ugh, Charles really should have charged more to return the man’s property.

A fact that became painfully more and more apparently when he approached Theo’s place of residence.

It wasn’t as big as most but it was still pretty fucking nice. As they walked up to the door, Charles waited until Theo led the way in. He tried to keep the blonde in his sight because he still wasn’t fully sure of the person he was dealing with. Theo could still be planning to cheat him out of payment -- it was his property, after all. But once he followed the other into his home, he found himself momentarily disarmed.

Oh, again, this place was pretty goddamn sweet. It wasn’t that enormous, but it was bigger than any place that Charles had ever lived before. He strolled in through the living room, hearing the door close and lock behind him. Any other time he might of been afraid but he was fairly certain that he could take Theo if he really needed to. Then again, what if there was another person here? Someone bigger and stronger than Charles? Heh, at this point he didn’t give a goddamn!

”Thanks,” Charles aid as he followed Theo.

As his eyes lifted and looked around, he started to pull off his hoodie and his t-shirt. Most of his clothing had actually managed to dry on the way over here but that didn’t make it comfortable. It was filthy water he had fallen in and dried filthy water was pretty disgusting to feel on the skin. So, pulling off both his hoodie and his shirt, he drape them over his shoulder and stood there, bare chested to the world -- or at least to just Theo.

Charles evidently took care of himself. His bronze skin was stretched taut over his youthful musculature. The abs he possessed, the hardened chest, the firm biceps, he was certainly the picture health and well-being. Being a dancer was like being an engineer, and his body was his rig. So long as he took care of it, it would take care of him; that was a lesson he never forgot and practiced daily.

He moved to stand next to Theo, his hands on his hips as he looked up and around the home, momentarily trying to quell the urge to knock his new friend out and ransack hiss home. He glanced over to Theo and gave hima grin. ”Nice place,” he offered. ”I believe you promised me a shower, handsome?”

The return trip to his home was relaxing more than anything. His stained clothes had been dried by the chilled air but the dirt remained caked upon the fabric in an unsightly way. Fortunately, Theo was not a vain person and though he knew enough to dress presentably he tried not to let the outward appearance of things cloud his judgment before obtaining the fact. Perhaps it was foolish to do so, but he assumed everyone else followed his same principle on the matter. While they proceeded to his homestead, however, he could not stop berating himself for inviting not only a stranger to his home but one who had obviously stolen from him.

It was risky, he acknowledged this and could only imagine the lecture his father might give if he were still around to do so but Theo had little regard for anything else at the moment. He lived a comfortable life that was well within his means but still perfectly comfortable and his home was a perfect reflection of that thanks to the decorator he had hired. His theme behind the décor was 'Hygge' and everything in the place had been specially selected to present and produce that cozy sensation. Keeping true to the theme, especially in the chill of winter, he had kept the heat turned up and once the front door was secured again the change in the air was apparent as the warm seventy-three-degree heat stuffed out the cold.

Theo nodded at the other's thanks and began removing his hoodie and heavy cardigan, leaving only a fitted button down with the sleeves rolled up behind. Normally he would have hung these items up but they needed washing so he draped them over an arm instead while keeping his eyes focused on Charles. Hm. His gaze had been focused on the dancer until he shed all of his top layers and left his muscled torso exposed and then Theo was looking anywhere but at the dancer.

"Nice place." Dark green eyes flitting back to Charles' just long enough to mumble "Tak." and they were back to looking at the floor, or the picture on the wall, or anything else. "I believe you promised me a shower, handsome?" Handsome? Hm. He blinked in a bit of uncertain surprise at the other for a short second. "Of course. Follow me." There was a pause after the words, a few moments of silence before he turned away from the door and headed towards the stairs.

There was a bathroom downstairs but it was only a half so Charles would have to settle for the one upstairs and through his bedroom. The room itself was decently spacious for a bathroom but still small enough that the steam from a warm shower would keep the temperature pleasant when getting out. There was no tub, only a glassed-in shower that could easily accommodate two people, a toilet, and a large vanity mirror behind the sink and extra counter space. "You are welcome to use anything you like. I can find a robe for you to wear afterward so your clothes can be cleaned if that is acceptable?" His intention being to ensure the dancer was settled and then give him his privacy.

As much as Charles wanted to stand around and continue casing the joint...looking around...he needed to get a shower. The mud that had managed to seep through his clothing had managed to stick to his skin in small clumps of off-colored dirt. The clods were disgusting to feel against his skin, really, but it wasn’t completely unbearable. Instead he merely stood back hand, momentarily takin in the view of the very fine establishment that Theo had for himself. Honestly he was trying to think if there was anything else he could knick from here that would be worth a penny or two at the pawnshop. After all, he had just agreed to return the watch, he didn’t say anything but not taking anything else from the man.

But his thoughts were stopped as he felt a clod rub against his side. He sighed as he turned, offering Theo a winning smile and reminded him that a shower was supposed to be in his future. This spurred Theo on as he agreed that that was part of their bargain and led the way to the staircase. Charles allowed him to take the lead but followed the rear, smirking a bit as he eyed Theo’s jean-clad posterior, however he didn’t say anything. There would be plenty of time for that later.

Once they were on the next level, he followed Theo to the bathroom and had to just cuss and shake his head. ”You sonnavabitch,” he scoffed. ”I definitely should have asked for more money.”

He sighed. But, for a thief, he was a man of his word. Hr stood still, eyeballing the glass encased shower, the finery of everything he saw and just couldn’t wrap his mind around it. The world was really unfair wasn’t it? Theo seemed roughly around Charles’ age and he had all of this? The last time the Sioux had seen anything this opulent, he had managed to score a sugar daddy for the weekend who was staying at a super fancy hotel. That was what this bathroom reminded him of, an upscale hotel.

He turned back to Theo as he explained that he could use whatever it was he wanted and that he would find a robe for him. Not only that but clothes were being cleaned. Awesome. So Charles agreed. Of course he could keep Theo’s daddy’s watch on him until the exchange of money was made, but he certainly wasn’t going to turn down free laundry service. So, stepping into the bathroom, he nodded.

”Sounds good to me,” He wandered the bathroom, looking it over, but came to a stop when turned back to Theo, giving him a flirty grin. ”Is this where you ask if you can join me?” He teased. Stepping out of his shoes, he hooked his thumb inside the elastic band of his sweatpants and waggled his brows as he teased that he would pull them off in front of Theo. ”Shower certainly seems big enough…”

Even prior to moving to America he didn't often invite guests to his place of residence because he didn't trust most enough to allow them into his sanctuary. As people typically did, Theo relied on his home to be a safe place where he could unwind from the stresses and pressure that life could pile on and he wanted to keep it somewhere that he felt secure. With that in mind, he was reluctant to take his attention too far from the dancer for fear he might try something.

It wouldn't have been as bad if the other hadn't already tried to procure his watch with those nimble fingers of his. Hm. No, the other man had cemented his untrustworthiness from the moment he refused to give the watch back. However, he was open to the idea that people could change and Charles had, at least, made a deal with him so perhaps he had realized he was being unfair. It would take time before Theo could properly trust the man, but that was true of anyone he allowed into his life.

Hm. Was he letting Charles into his life? No, not exactly but he was resigned to dealing with him for the rest of the evening, courtesy of their bargain. That was fine, he was confident he could manage a few hours with the other man without having anything catastrophic happening, though based on the reaction from seeing the bathroom it might be more difficult than anticipated. Evidently, Charles should have asked for more.

Theo made no comment on that and decided that mentioning the heated floor would be less than wise at that point. He merely gave a light shrug of his shoulders and waited to see if the other needed anything before leaving him to clean up. No, apparently he was fine with the plan of borrowing a robe and having his apparel washed. "Is this where you ask if you can join me?" The grin that accompanied the words was hard to miss, though not as immobilizing since the Dane had a comfortable amount of space. He blinked at the man. "Shower certainly seems big enough…"

He adjusted his glasses, pushing them back into place upon his nose. "That would hardly be appropriate." Deciding it was safer not to question the man's motive for the question. "Towels are in the cabinet. I will leave a robe on the bed for when you are finished and you can bring the soiled laundry downstairs afterward." There was a small pause. "I will have your money when you get out."

If no effort was made to stop him, he turned to leave the bathroom with the intention of starting preparations for their meal while Charles cleaned up.

Charles grinned as he blatantly looked Theo up and down. Now that they were in the bathroom, his eyes glanced between the massive shower and the the young man next to him. They could definitely both fit. Charles even began to run through the various positions that they could probably recreate in that shower, but he didn’t voice them. No reason to make the guy’s head explode (heh). Rather he instead just inquired if Theo would be joining him and left it at that. After all, what guy invites another to his house for a shower and dinner and doesn’t expect a little nookie in return?

Theo, apparently. Charles smirked in an amused way as he listened to Theo stated that it wouldn’t be appropriate. Charles had to fight the urge to snarkily state that that was the idea, but he bit his tongue. After all, he still needed to get six-hundred dollars from him. So, instead, he merely hung back and watched as the blonde turned and left the room. Charles, of course, watched the other’s fine ass as he walked, but once again kept comments to himself. There was always time for that kind of teasing later.

It was time for Theo to leave. He told Charles where the towels were and that he would leave a bathrobe on the bed for him whenever he was ready. Charles winked and clicking his tongue at has new friend, shooting him a finger gun at the same time. A sigh followed as he turned and looked around the luxurious bathroom. Really, he really should have charged more.

Oh well, lost opportunities, future gains! Peeling off the last of his grimy clothing, Charles stepped out into the hall where he grabbed himself a towel and then retired back into the bathroom. The sound of a turning faucet and the spray of water followed as the shower started. Lastly, wet feet could be heard splashing into the standing-only shower and the sigh of satisfaction coming from the Sioux. This was certainly the life.

-------------------------------

Charles tried to make the shower last but all good things had to come to an end. The grime easily washed off but the Sioux spent a good portion of his time just rubbing the luxurious soaps across his bronze body. Honestly it felt so amazing that he could hardly contain himself. But, eventually, the process grew boring and he stood under the cascading water, shaking the soap off of his body. Slipping the palms of his hands across his face, he washed away the last of the water before he shut it down, then he stepped out, grabbing his towel.

A few moments were spared where he then ran the exceedingly fluffy towel across his skin, soping up the water that still clung to his musculature. When he was sufficiently dry, he then wrapped the towel, low across his waist and stepped out. Making his way into the bedroom, he eyed the bed, smirked at a few naughty thoughts, then moved to reach it. However, he never made it thanks to his eyes falling on the very expensive looking computer set up Theo had. Huh. It looked worth a pretty penny.

Slowly he wandered over, making sure that Theo wasn’t around and looked it over. He wondered if maybe he would get this appraised with only a few photos, but before he went to retrieve his phone, he stopped when he noted something unusual on the glass table. Huh. That certainly didn’t look legal. A soft grin and Charles just shook his head, pulled his phone from his soiled pant’s pocket and snapped a photo. It was always good to keep evidence with you at all times.

Holding his phone and Theo’s watch in his hand, he bundled up the rest of his diritied clothing and decided to forgo the robe for the time being. Instead, he marched down the stairs, wearing a towel that barely hung onto his firm hip, and made his way to the kitchen. With a grin on his lips, he approached Theo when he saw him.

”Hello hunny,” he teased. ’Is dinner ready yet?”

The only thing Theo had come to expect from Charles in return for dinner and a nice shower was that he would get his watch back. A simple trade and they could part ways and leave things as simple as that. There was nothing else that he needed from the man and Theo was not the type to jump into bed with anyone he had only known a short while. It had occurred to him that it was possibly what Charles wanted with the way that he couldn't help himself from getting to close to the Dane but these were passing thoughts, surely no one was that sexually deprived as to sleep with a stranger. At least that was his way of dismissing the idea as ludicrous but he really didn't know the dancer well enough to assume anything of him.

All he could do was fulfill his end of their deal and hope for the best from his guest and that was exactly what he was doing when he left the man to his shower. As he had said he would, a robe had been laid over the neatly made bed in plain view from the bathroom door and headed downstairs. He would have preferred a shower but wasn't going to share and decided he that waiting wouldn't be an issue. He didn't linger in the room, not wanting to his company to feel like he was guarding him or anything.

If only he had realized that he had a series of notes scribbled over the glass of his computer desk, things like a reminder to forge a passport among others. If only he were more prepared for company that reminder would have been wiped clean for obvious reasons. However, he hadn't had time to be at his desk at all that day and it had simply slipped his mind in favor of remembering that he needed to get the other's money.

While he waited for his company to bathe, and after he had retrieved the money from a safe he had in the garage, he worked on their meal. Hakkebøf. It was a ground beef steak with onions and brown sauce, served with boiled potatoes and a white parsley sauce. Theo was rather remarkable in the kitchen and typically cooked his own meals because he saw no need to eat out. This particular meal he had made before and found to be one of his favorites and since Charles was lavishing his shower he was nearly done by the time the other came downstairs.

Theo had heard his footsteps but didn't look up from the pan he was handling, unaware of how close the other was until he spoke. "Hello, hunny, is dinner ready yet?" Hunny? Hm. That was an odd usage but he didn't question it, instead focusing on the question. "Nearly. Perhaps another few minutes." He had finally turned his green eyes onto Charles, anticipating offering a drink but very caught off guard.

Wearing nothing but a particularly loose towel, there was Charles in all his muscled glory. "Oh my." And just as quickly his gaze fell to the floor as his cheeks began to grow pink. "You are… Hm. Did-did the robe not fit?" The Dane was far too modest to ever walk around in just a towel even for someone he did know and here the dancer was without any concern about it.

Charles had no shame. Absolutely no shame. Why should he? When people looked the way that he did, there was no need to be ashamed of anything that you had done, so long as it was legal. Of course, Charles played fast and loose with that line considering how he normally made his living. But, so long as he looked good and that could open doors, he was more than fine being just a little bit of a hypocrite. So, making his way down to the kitchen area, he followed the scent of cooking, little caring for how expose he currently was. The towel was enough for the time being and, as he approached Theo, he offered the back of his head a sly grin -- he would memorize the back of that head for later.

Sweetie he asked in a very 50’s sitcom kind of way, if dinner was ready. Theo seemed unperturbed by the comment and merely said that it wouldn’t be much longer. Admittedly, it did smell really good, whatever it was. It seemed hearty and served as a stern reminder that Charles hadn’t eaten a decent meal in quite some time. These days his diet had been consisting of canned foods, fast foods, and vender foods, clearly nothing homecooked and truly filling, not like this. He was certainly in for a treat now.

But it would seem that his current want of something savory was being challenged by Theo who turned around, finally and noted the lack of attire Charles currently possessed. Returning to himself, he offered the blonde a wide grin and merely stood there, letting himself be observed. Theo, he found, to be a mystery. The young man was clearly blushed, almost as if he were attracted to him, and yet spoke in such a way as he didn’t seemed to understand what he was feeling. It was tragic and a little strange at the same time, but Charles was patient and merely placed his hand on his hip, the other holding his soiled clothing.

Theo stammered and the Sioux found it to be absolutely adorable. He struggled to find words and, when he did, they were completely composed of confusion. He went to the direct and most obvious reason for Charles naked state, asking if the robe that he had provided simply didn’t fit. But the dancer merely grinned and shook his head.

”Nah it was fine,” he said. ”But…” He stretched, showing the firmness of his muscles as it glided beneath his skin. ”...I’ve never been one for robes. Too itchy.” A winning grin was offered as he pointed to his clothing. ”You have a washing machine?” He asked. Honestly he would have made Theo wash it but, considering that it technically wasn’t a part of the original deal, he didn’t want to push his luck. Besides, he wasn’t completely useless, he knew how to wash his clothes. He just needed a machine and soap.

He paused for a moment, waiting for Theo to respond and just took a note of him. His pinked cheeks asn his inability to meet his eye were so adorable. He seemed to be looking anywhere and everywhere so long as he wasn’t looking at Charles’ half-naked form. So, what else could he do? He advanced, taking one careful step after another, grinning as he started to close in on his personal space again. This was fun.

”So, Theo…” he teased. ”...you have the money?” He toyed with the man’s clothing, flicking his shirt, running his fingers along the sides of his pants. ”Or would you rather I earn it?”

If he was ever accused of being picky, the Dane would have denied the accusation and stated simply stated that he had standards and no interest in bending them. Perhaps that did classify as being picky but it was justifiable as far as he was concerned. Regardless, he did not eat many processed foods and certainly did not partake of fast food. He had learned the luxury of expensive meals from a young age and insisted on only the freshest and finest food went into his cooking. The fact that this was not an option for some people had not crossed Theo's mind and it wouldn't have changed his meal plan even if it had.

As the minutes ticked by and the potatoes drew closer to being done he silently watched the water boil as his mind wandered through thoughts. His concentration was stolen by Charles and then completely toss out the window when he realized how exposed the other man was. The worst part of his shyness was that he had no idea if this was commonplace for Americans or if the dancer was just exceptionally bold with his body and he was in no condition to ask considering he was stammering through his words already.

What was the issue that had led to the other's near-nudity? It would seem that his housemate simply did not like robes due to them being itchy and he supposed that was fair because he had no right to think the man was lying. Quickly, he entertained the idea of lending the dance something of his own that was less risqué because he was nearly certain that he could find a pair of loose sleep pants that would fit. He didn't get to the suggestion another question was presented.

In preparation to answer, he had looked up in search of eye contact only to get an eye-full of that toned body stretching out. Was Charles intentionally showing himself off? It was a strange thought and Theo could think of nothing that he might benefit from it but he was finding that there was a fair bit of this culture he was unfamiliar with.

"The machines are in the downstairs restroom." He hadn't needed them yet, though had the necessities to run it, but remembered because the placement had seemed odd. He had returned his focus to the floor between them but even an averted stare wasn't enough to preserve his space bubble. No, he soon found the other returning to that too familiar closeness with his hands busying themselves running over Theo's clothes.

Did he want him to work for it? "N-nåde." A sure fire sign of nervousness in the Dane was the unprecedented switch of languages. His cheeks felt as if they could be on fire with how much liberty the man was taking with him and he was struggling to find enough of his voice to ask for his space back. "I-ikke nødvendigt-not n-necessary." The protest was stammered as he brushed his hands over his torso in a weak effort to brush those wandering fingers away. "The money… is in my p-pocket." Hm, he was getting very familiar with the floor pattern.

Charles was all smiles as he advanced upon Theo. He didn’t care about personal space and, so long as Theo was not giving him a firm “go away” or an indication that he wasn’t interested, Charles was going to persist. Of course he wasn’t really looking to fuck the lighter-haired man in front of him, this was more just a tease as it seemed to elicit a reaction that Theo wasn’t expecting. Far be it from Charles to not take advantage of a moment like that, if only to keep him on his toes and the other off his balance. That was how the Sioux got what he wanted, through misdirection, confusion, and a bit of sex appeal. It opened more doors than you would think.

When the directions for the washing machine were given, Charles filed that away in his memory but didn’t let his hawk-like gaze shift away from Theo just yet. Instead he was enjoy how nervous he was making him and continued to follow, toying with the other’s attire. The pink blush on Theo’s cheeks so was incredibly adorable that it nearly made the Sioux want to stop, but he didn’t. Instead he pressed on, fingers nimbly moving around the other’s pant legs and shirt. Theo continued to stammer and Charles grinned wider.

So he asked, where was the money? Was he going to have to earn it after all this? Was Theo expecting to take him back to his bedroom upstairs and have his way with him until he had earned each and every single dollar he wanted for the watch? Admittedly Charles doubted that was actually on Theo’s mind, but it was fun to pretend. Much like he thought, Theo, between mumbling in that foreign language again, stammered that “earning it” wasn’t necessary. The money, it seemed, was in his pocket.

Charles pursed his lips, smiling slyly. ”Oooh, convenient place…” he purred.

Pressing up closer to Theo, the towel he wore loosely around his waist was clearly at a danger of falling now. One hand slowly moved down Theo’s side, moving into his pocket where he felt the small wad of cash. His smile grew as he took his time taking hold of it, his fingertips crazing the inside of Theo’s pocket, and thus his thigh. It was just a few small strokes before his fingers wrapped around the money and pulled it out. Once in his hand, Charles took a quick count of it, still not leaving Theo’s bubble.

The count was quick. Goddamn this boy had money to burn. He was definitely going to have to be friends with him, especially considering some of the things that he saw on that glass table upstairs. But he would wait for the right moment to reveal that. Right now it was far too much fun watching Theo pinken and squirm.

Folding the money up again, he tapped him on the nose and scrunched up his nose. ”Thank’s dollface,” he said. He took a few steps back. ’You ever want…interest...by some other means, let me know.”

He winked. He turned around, the loose towel hanging a bit lower now and reveal the start of Charles’ well-rounded, left ass cheek. It was colored as the rest of his body, an indication that he tanned all over. He stopped to pick up his clothing again and wandered to the stairs so that he could start the washer. Also, there was no need to tell Theo where his watch was -- all he had to do was feel his back pocket. Let no one say that Charles Red Fish was not a man of his word.

”I’ll go pop these in the washer,” he called back. ”Try not to miss me too much.”

Theo was hardly the time to be commanding anything of anyone. That was simply not how he operated as he had never had any issues in getting things done by politely asking in the past. Even in his brushes with those who walked the opposite side of the law he had never needed to be demanding because he had found leverage prior to dealing with anything that could turn physical. He liked to plan ahead of those situations and be prepared for the worst possibilities.

However, he hadn’t had any chance to prepare himself for meeting someone like Charles. The dancer was far more forward than anyone he had ever dealt with before and liked to push the limits of Theo's personal space. The Dane had no defense ready for anything like that, the unfamiliar advances taking him well outside of his comfort zone. Part of the reason he had yet to tell the other to 'stop' was because he was attempting to keep the peace while he waited to get his watch and the other was that he simply couldn't place the normalcy of any of it and didn't want to appear rude.

In the short time he had been in two he had met two people of note and one of them was perfectly respectful of his space and the other was somewhere between Uriah and Charles. It was all so perplexing and, if he were being honest, he wasn't sure he wanted to deal with figuring things out. First, he would see to having his watch returned and then perhaps he could muster the words to request not having his space invaded.

Having told the other where he had placed the money he found that those curious hands were quick to find their way into his pocket and causing that blush to spread some. The grazing touch against his thigh from inside his pocket was… hm. He didn't have a word for it at the moment but he had managed a sound, a sputtered gasping inhale. That was not a sound he made often.

"Thanks, dollface." Theo was left blinking through wide eyes as he tried to comprehend what had just happened now that he had been allowed some space. His gaze had fixed on Charles, the bareness of him set aside for the moment as Theo studied the dancer, his green eyes harboring a flicker of some emotion he couldn't grasp because he'd never experienced it before. It lingered for a few seconds and then vanished without a trace as the Dane shifted his focus away from his guest.

He hadn't understood the comment about interest and was quite certain that he didn't want to ask what had been meant in that moment. No, he needed to tend to the potatoes and Charles had stated that he was going to wash his clothes and suggested Theo not miss him too much. "It might be a struggle, but I shall try." His calm demeanor was coming back to him.

Only after the other had headed for the bathroom to tend to his clothes did Theo reach into his pocket and refasten the watch comfortably around his wrist. With that settled he finished the meal and portioned the food onto two plates, leaving extra in the pan for later if either of them wanted more. The plates were then set in front of two seats at the table. He had purposefully sat himself across from Charles, thinking that the table between them would ensure his space. Two glasses of water were set beside the plates as well as silverware before he seated himself, though he waited for his guest before even tasting the food.

Charles dismissed himself from Theo, but not without a fleeting remark about hoping that he wouldn’t be missed too much. He knew that eyes were on him the second that he turned away and he knew that they followed him as he made his way to the steps with his soiled clothing in hand. Theo was an interesting guy, clearly loaded, and clearly up to no good. As he took the steps down, he mulled over what he had seen on that guy’s glass table and began to wonder a bit more about him. Combining that with the computer setup he possessed certainly made it clear what the guy was up to -- kinda. Charles wasn’t good with computers but he knew enough buzzwords to put together the term “Hacker”.

The real question was how he was going to deal with that tasty tidbit. Oh well, there was time. For now, his clothing needed to be washed.

Most washing machines were the same so, when he found it and the soap, it was a simple matter of tossing everything in and pouring in a cap of the soap. With everything in there, he closed the lid, set the machine, and turned to make his way back up.

Six-hundred dollars. He had six-hundred dollars. That was more than enough to pay the old bat and shut her up for a few more weeks. He hoped that that would finally allow him the free time to earn enough money to get out of this shithole of a town. Then again, as he ascended, he had to wonder if there was enough here for him to pay for his trip home and enough for a comfortable place to live once he got there. He would have to ponder on this.

Once he had returned to the top of the stairs, the sounds of the machine clinging and clanging down below, he placed his hands on his hips and started to stroll through the large space. Really, Charles couldn’t even have imagined living like this at this age. What, did Theo had an great rich uncle that kicked off and left him a fortune? That was really the only way he could explain how he had so much money to throw around. He paid six-hundred as if it were nothing! Where was the fairness in that? No, Theo clearly needed to be relieved of some of this burden.

Slowly he set a plan into motion. Maneuvering around the room, he made his way back to the kitchen, offering Theo a winning smile as he approached him yet again. Really the food smelled absolutely amazing and he was reminded just how hungry he was.

”Hey good lookin’” he said with a grin. Finding a clear counter, Charles hopped up effortlessly, taking a seat and swinging his legs. It threatened to undo the knot of his towel but he clearly didn’t care about such modest fears. Instead he just smiled, waiting to catch his eye again. ”This is really a nice place you have here. You some kind of internet millionaire or something? Did you invent Google?”

If only Theo had known that particular bit of information that the other man had found on his desk then he surely would have taken the appropriate measures to correct the issue. He was indeed a hacker, a great one at that because he had grown up learning the ins and outs of a technological security company. There weren't many things in the world of digital data that could be protected from him because he knew all the back doors that security companies used. It was a great skill to have in this day and age, Theo knew this and used his gift to his advantage.

The front of building websites was his cover but he did so much more than that to bring in money. He could find nearly anything on anyone with just a bit of digging and that opened up doors for blackmail, among other things. Forging documents was another skill set that he had and utilized often because he could sell those documents for high sums. That was one of the notes that had been on his desk, a reminder that he wanted to make himself a passport with Rhys Abernathy's information.

Creating and uncovering data wasn't the only thing he could do either. He knew how to plant evidence on others too and had no problem doing so when he felt threatened. Physically, he couldn't fight back but under the right circumstances, he knew exactly how to take someone down and leave no traces behind. Whatever Charles was planning on doing with that picture he had taken it was advisable that he consider things very carefully before presenting what he knew. Theo was hardly someone to be thoughtlessly backed into a corner.

As it was, he had no idea that Charles had seen his desk and had no reason to feel threatened, so he was doing his best to keep his mood light. Having the food finished was a promising indicator that things would be civil since he was hoping they would be too busy eating to engage in too much conversation. He would have to wait for the other's laundry to be started before they could start eating though.

When the other returned and took a seat on the counter, Theo cast a curious glance at him while pointedly ignoring the way his towel was desperately clinging to stay on. "Hey good lookin'." He blinked, cautiously meeting the other's gaze as he was questioned about inventing Google. "No." He answered flatly. Theo was not one to lie but he wasn't doling out private information to strangers either. Clearing his throat softly, he looked at the food on the table. "Would you join me at the table so we may eat?"

Charles found teasing Theo to be an absolutely wonderful experience. He was such an interesting creature that the dancer simply couldn’t help himself. The way he carried himself, the way he spoke, even the manner in which he moved just seemed to indicate someone who -- was a complete mystery to him. He wished that he could figure the other man out but it just seemed to be beyond his control. Oh well, he guessed he would have to learn about him the old fashioned way.

So, resting on the counter, he watched Theo as he milled about the kitchen, aftering the food and beginning to plate them. Charles could feel the pit of his stomach struggling against his insides, ready to consume absolutely everything in front of him. But rather rush to eating, he waited until Theo was done plating it all. In the meantime, maybe idle conversation was called for.

Was he rich? Did he invent Google? He knew that Theo didn’t invent the website, but it was a clever and humorous way for the dancer to try and get some information out of him. Sadly that seemed to be nearly impossible at this point. Theo answered flatly with a “no” before he continued gathering everything. Shame, and here they had been having such a lovely discussion.

Charles teased him by holding out his arms and sounding breathless. ”Wow, man, that’s some kind of elaborate and amazingly complex story,” he grinned. ”Please, give me a moment to process it all.”

It was too much fun to not be a dick towards him. Eventually, though the food had to be eaten. Theo suggested Charles join him at the table. So, seeing no reason to really argue the point, he shrugged his shoulders as he hopped off the counter. His towel-knotting ability was apparently on point as his towel still managed to stay on. Making his way over to the table, he sighed and slid into the seat directly across from Theo.

”Romantic dinner, mood lighting, one of us is half naked,” He grinned as he looked over to Theo. ”You sure you’re not trying to seduce me, Mr. Theo?” He asked. He then carefully took up his napkin and set it across his lap. ”Or are you trying to seduce me out of my ‘personal information’” Another smile. It was time to unveil what he found upstairs -- but with a bit of flare.

If Theo had known that his guest had been fishing for information he might have been more accommodating. Then again, maybe not. In either case, the Dane had a habit of finding ways to avoid things that he didn't want to discuss but tended to respond better when asked a direct question. Charles had wondered if he had an internet fortune or if he had invented Google and Theo had done neither so he answered in kind. No. He found the remark acceptable and covering the premise of his guest's question.

Now, if he had asked how the Dane had managed to afford a place such as this he might have gotten an answer that he built websites or he may have simply stated that it was none of the dancer's business. Asking about a person's finances was, after all, a rather personal question. Though it was becoming far more evident that the other enjoyed pushing the boundaries of things that Theo considered personal.

"Wow, man, that's some kind of elaborate and amazingly complex story. Please, give me a moment to process it all." Was he being sarcastic? A smile pulled at the corner of his lips, a genuine expression, and lasted for a few for seconds. "Take all the time you need." He replied, his smile fading back to normal as he suggested they sit down to eat.

They took their seats across from each other at the table. Theo placed his napkin over his lap as Charles reminded him that he was barely dressed and the scandalous nature of their setting. Was he trying to seduce him? Certainly not but he didn't get a chance to answer before he was questioned that maybe he was after 'personal information'?

"I can assure you I'm not after any sort of seduction." He countered, being completely honest with the other and not entirely sure where the idea had come from. Of course, if he wanted the other's personal data it would not be hard to get but he wasn't about to confess that to anyone. [b]"There is also no reason for me to need your personal information.
