Working was really weird. Even after the first month. She had a birthday in January, and she had a nice date on Valentine’s Day in February, but the most substantial event this year thus far had been her new job. She left Stilettos, after three fucking years. Three. She’d been with Stilettos longer than she’d been with her girlfriend. Before that point in her life she was running away from consistency because it felt like restraint. Sure, she had a couple of tattoos that would be with her for life, but otherwise she was a bit flighty. More than a bit flighty. She was flighty all the way from Italy to England to the United States. And now her hair was green, and she’d been working for just over a month as a personal trainer. It was slow going, but she spent a lot of time in the gym. And she didn’t work nights. That was weird. Going to bed with Min every night? It was cool and all, but it was weird. Sometimes she wondered if it would feel too routine, and bother her, but hopefully she was more mature than those concerns by now. She was twenty-seven, after all. * Dio, io sono vecchia.

Frankie was feeling pretty normal over all. She worked out a lot more, and she’d lost weight initially. She wasn’t losing any more, since she was toning her body, not losing mass anymore. She’d always been thin, but she went through her apartment and got rid of most of the unhealthy things. She did not consider cheat days. She was going to be healthy most of the time, and she would be sparing with her unhealthiness. Hanging out with Lenny sounded like a good time to be super unhealthy. She brought a bottle of more than half gone Whiskey and a few things to her friend’s place. She’d agreed a while ago to house sit for them. Monica was out of town for a family vacation, and apparently there were some plants that she and her boyfriend wanted watered. So Frankie was babysitting their house, and she watered their plants a couple of times a day. They had a pretty sweet TV though, and since Frankie had free reign of the house, she invited Lenny over to binge watch a series she’d told him about. Secret Diary of a Call Girl, starring Billie Piper.

It was a lounging day. Frankie had on a spiked beanie, all her piercings in, not a lot of makeup, a tight plaid front lace up top, and slightly frayed skinny jeans, with black boots. The sort of boots that were booties, and really only worked for fashion. She was not going to go hiking in them. She liked her ankles too much. She was going to spend the night there, so if she got drunk, it didn’t matter, but she wasn’t planning on drinking all that much. Otherwise how could she fully enjoy the scenes of Belle sleeping with some dude, and glancing over at Lenny to ask if that was how it went with him and his boss, except where he was Belle? She was looking forward to the experience.

*God, I am old.

(OOC - Outfit )

Tony and Lenny were yet to get a TV and while Lenny could watch things on his phone, he didn't think it was the same. He didn't find it quite as relaxing as lounging about on a couch, surrounded by snacks and drinks, watching a larger screen that could more easily be shared with friends. He jumped at the chance to have such a day at some house Frankie had access to when she offered.

He dressed in typical lounge day clothes - an outfit that very closely resembled something he might sleep in - determined to be as comfy and relaxed as possible, though getting across town to the house in such an outfit did feel a little strange. He rocked up at the address, a bottle of booze and pack of potato chips in hand, and knocked loudly at the door. When Frankie opened up he grinned, holding forward his 'gifts'.

"Ciao." He greeted, stepping inside, slipping off his boots. "This' gonna be fucking awesome. What're we watching again?" He could vaguely remember Frankie mentioning the series, more than once, but he wasn't interested in any specific programme as long as he got to chill in front of a TV.

"How's work and shit?" He asked, having a quick peek around what he could see of the house.

Frankie wasn’t really in the habit of sitting and binge watching anything. Now that she was not working out to maintain her body, but to actually improve it, she worked out more. She still had the pole in her apartment, and she used it for a lot of her exercises. It did not allow for a lot of TV watching, and Frankie no longer had a couch anyway. If she were to watch a show about a call girl with her girlfriend, it would involve a lot of not watching the show. She knew how touchy she could get when she was just sitting around for a long time. One of the perks of hanging out with Lenny was that there was no sexual tension. She could talk to him about sex, and her relationship with him remained endearingly platonic. The little bratty brother she’d never asked for. She might have preferred the company of her girlfriend, but considering she was not getting up to mischief in the house she was babysitting, it was better to chill with Lenny.

Lenny arrived, looking about ready to go to sleep, with only the healthiest of snacks in hand. Frankie smirked at him, then chuckled, “Ciao. Good choices.” He kicked out of his boots and asked what show they would be watching. “Secret Diary of a Call Girl,” she said, giving him as much as she felt he should need to get the picture. She had a lounge chair next to the couch that she was going to sit in. She had a small blanket scrunched up in the chair.

This is my friend’s place. She likes nice furniture and plants… just stay out of her room and she’s pretty chill. Bathroom’s first door down the hall,” she pointed out. He asked about work and shit and Frankie automatically shrugged. “Its not bad. I could probably do better if I did more group stuff than personal stuff… but I’m mostly working out and helping at the gym when they want it. Hard to really be a personal trainer without clients… and you get clients… you have to… have clients. But I am not not making some money. It’s a lot less though. But I sleep at night, which is new. What about you?

Lenny kicked off his boots and made his way over to the couch and sat down, lying back and already making himself at home. He gave a snort. "Unless there's some huge TV or shit in her room, why the fuck would I go in there? But, yeah, okay." He opened the pack of potato chips while Frankie was talking, not waiting for her to dig in himself.

"You look like you came off the front of some fitness DVD or shit." He said once sitting down, giving Frankie a once over as he stuffed a potato chip in his mouth. He meant it as a compliment. Frankie had never been fat since he'd known her or extremely unhealthy so the contrast wasn't too extreme, but the changes since she'd switched jobs were still noticeable. "Yeah, I bet you and Min sleep more at night." He chuckled, shooting Frankie a look.

It was a look that fell off his face the next moment when she flipped the question around at him. He side-eyed her. The last time they'd spoken, he'd told her about the situation with his manager - the situation he'd complained about, the situation that Frankie had made fun of him for, and the situation said he was going to try and stop.... but hadn't done anything to change it at all. And then - then - there was Kyler, which just seemed like even more fodder for Frankie to make fun of him over.

"Nothing." He said, a little too quickly, looking at the potato chips rather than Frankie, "I mean, nothing's changed." No, wait, that wasn' right! "I mean, nothing's... everything's fine." He had to think of a subject change - fast! He gave a glance around the room, and then at Frankie, opening his mouth for the first thing to come into his head to spill out, because anything was better than admitting he was still sleeping with his boss and still found it awkward. "Are you wearing your nipple rings?" Was what came out, and he just stared dumbly at Frankie. Even if it only annoyed her, at least it'd get her away from the topic of Lenny's life.

Frankie gave Lenny some ground rules about the house. Aka the one about staying out of her friend’s bedroom, and Lenny made a remark as if there was no reason he would go in there. “I don’t know, last I checked you weren’t super on other people’s boundaries if they weren’t spelled out for you,” Frankie shrugged without malice. Sure, it was a jab at him for being a fucking degenerate sometimes, but Frankie sincerely wasn’t bothered by it by now. At least night in times where they could joke about it. She wasn’t sure if something would rile her up about it, but after this time, even if she got riled up, she wouldn’t have taken it out on Lenny.

Apparently Frankie looked like she came from some fitness DVD. She had on boots, jeans, and laced up front top. “… do they usually wear jeans and boots with heels on fitness DVDs? Or if that the ‘or shit’ part?” She was pretty sure she did not look like she came off a fitness DVD, but whatever. Lenny’s mind was weird. She didn’t realize he might mean her body, because her body was hidden behind clothing, unlike with her other job. There it was hidden behind glitter, and sometimes tassels. He seemed positive though, so maybe it was meant as a compliment, but she couldn’t tell right away. Then he joked about her and Min’s sex life. “You know nothing makes me wanna fuck more than actually having to wake up in the morning,” she said with a small laugh. Min’s schedule had not changed, but of course having any more time together led to certain things. Maybe more, maybe less, than what Lenny would predict.

Nothing. Not had changed in Lenny’s work. Everything was fine. She arched an eyebrow. So nothing had improved, and it wasn’t fine. “Are you wearing your nipple rings?

Frankie’s mouth open slightly, and her eyes narrowed in scrutiny, “*Che cazzo?” She shook her head, “Firstly, they aren’t rings, they’re bars,” Information that Lenny definitely needed to know, “Secondly…. Che cazzo? What kind of a segue away from your job are my nipple piercings? Your boss been banging you so much your brain melted?” Because if she asked about work, and nothing changed, and he rapidly changed the subject to her nipples… uh, screw that noise?

*What the fuck?

Frankie almost earned the bag of potato chips being thrown at her for her comments and Lenny was hardly sat down, but fortunately for her and the owner of the house the chips would have ended up scattered over, Lenny wanted the potato chips himself too much to follow that idea through. He gave an irritated huff and glared at Frankie while putting another chip into his mouth.

"Not what you're wearing.. you.. I dunno. Fuck off." He rolled his eyes. Lenny didn't exactly spend much time watching fitness videos, in fact, he didn't think he'd ever watched one. The closest he'd gotten was probably some porn with a vague fitness plot to the beginning of it. "I mean you can tell you started working at a gym. You know what I fucking meant."

"Che cazzo?" Lenny avoided Frankie's narrowed eyes, his nostrils flaring as he grew irritated, mostly with himself for not having any good comebacks and a little at Frankie for not just going with his subject change. First, though, his brain wouldn't let go of one thing, "Bars?" He stopped glaring to frown at Frankie, letting his gaze drop to her chest as his brain provided an ignorant and ridiculous image of what the bars would look like. He glanced away, looking slightly traumatised, and started trying to work out a way to get himself out of the hole he'd started digging. He decided to try and act like it wasn't a big deal. "What?" He replied, voice chock full of defiance, "I just wanted to know! Maybe... maybe I wanna pierce stuff for my next job or whatever!" There, that would show Frankie, "And no, she fucking hasn't been banging me that much," his boss hadn't, anyway, "but yeah, I'm still fucking her, because yeah, she is seeing someone else - but it doesn't even matter or something to her. But... I mean, I get a weekend off a month now, so..." He shrugged, once again trying to just leave the subject.

"'There anyone hot you've been training at gym?" He asked instead, focusing his attention on the potato chips. He was getting through them at a very fast rate. "You got any more snacks?"

Not what Frankie was wearing. Oh, so just her being in shape. “*Va bene,” she said with a shrug. He told her to fuck off, and she ignored that. He claimed that he could tell she started working at a gym. Did Lenny really pay more attention to Frankie’s body than she did? She couldn’t really tell. Well, she could, but she didn’t think there was a visible difference, except the lack of glitter. He claimed that she knew what he meant. Well, know she did, yes, but that didn’t mean she’d known it when he said it. “Si.

Yes. Lenny. Yes. Bars. As if rings would have been somehow less catching inside a bra all day. These were things that Lenny did not consider. These were things that Frankie was not planning on explaining to him, unless he asked. Because fuck, why not? But she wasn’t going to do it just on her own. Lenny didn’t actually say anything about the bars after that, and Frankie simply gave him another “Si,” before they got to the good stuff.

Maybe he wanted to pierce stuff for his next job. Why would… oh, like being a piercer? Actually, whether he wanted piercings for his job, or to pierce for his job… nothing was out of the question for Lenny. Frankie didn’t think he would go through with it, but he said some crazy shit. And no she hadn’t been banging him that much. Frankie laughed. Yes, respond exactly like that, because it didn’t at all make him seem super out of his depth and railroaded by Frankie. No, she would bet his boss railroaded him a bit more than Frankie, even for a girl. It just… it was just… too good. Because it was just too bad.

He got a weekend off a month, and he was still fucking her, but she was dating someone. “She just whoring it up with the whole town, or is she cheating on them?” Having absolutely no experience with this woman, Frankie had no way of knowing if the woman was a complete tramp, or if she just had really bad taste in employees and using them as fuck buddys. Oh god, it was too good.

Did Frankie have any more snacks? “Not really. Some alcohol, but we’ll need more later. So you get a weekend off a month… like at all, from both jobs… or just because you’re banging this chick? Or is she giving you time off because you are a liability with dough?” Frankie frowned, that was actually too much for her. She’d given him a hard time before, and he’d been nice, and he had actually been really stressed about his job. So she actually asked, “** Tu non sei come, andando fuori di testa sul lavoro o qualcosa del genere? Sarò bello se si sono, lo sai.

*Alright

**You aren’t like, freaking out about work or something? I’ll be nice if you are, you know.

No matter how much Lenny tried to dodge a subject, Frankie had a knack of pinpointing exactly what Lenny was trying to avoid and continuing with it. Lenny sighed and rolled his eyes. "How the fuck do I know if she's cheating? She didn't say that." He shifted, slightly uncomfortable, not having thought it was a possibility until then. "I just thought... she might be seeing someone else the same kinda way. Open, or whatever." He gave a small shrug and stuffed his mouth with chips.

"I'm not allowed to be late any more..." Lenny sighed, again, rolling his eyes. "She bitched at me about it, but then said I could have a weekend off instead. I guess... kinda... probably because we're sleeping together, but what the fuck does it matter why? I get a fucking weekend off. I don't usually work Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the club so it means I get one day when I can actually have fun." Not that working or other commitments stopped him otherwise, but with a weekend off he could catch up on sleep the days he didn't have to work at the bakery.

"I didn't know you could be nice." He snorted. He avoided eye contact when Frankie switched to Italian. He had been freaking out a little about work, but he'd had other things on his mind too, pushing the stress about work out of the bigger picture. "I still hate it, and I dunno what to do about it." He glanced to Frankie, chancing eye contact, "But I've had other shit on my mind to try and deal with." he frowned, unsure how to even try and explain it, "Tony's... he's got this friend staying over and... he's so..." So what? Lenny's frown intensified and he lounged backwards on the couch. Part of why he was so wound up about Kyler was that he couldn't work the man out. "Annoying." Lenny settled with, diving in the bag for another handful of chips.

Lenny thought he was dodging, but really he was standing still going “look, what was that?!” loudly, and then still standing there after she’d looked. Then he got upset that she’d looked back as if he’d done more than throw a wild and obvious distraction into the mix and then… hoped really hard. He didn’t know if this woman was cheating with someone or not, she hadn’t said, and he clearly was under the impression that she was not cheating on anyone. She was just fucking a bunch of people. “Yeah, fine. You probably aren’t a homewrecker, don’t get pissy.

Lenny stuffed even more chips in his mouth, and Frankie didn’t tell him he was ruining his diet. Because of course he was, but teasing now would just be inconvenient for the bad dietary choices she intended to make going forward. He wasn’t allowed to be late anymore. Frankie chuckled, “Yeah, I don’t think you were really allowed before, she just let it slide because fucking.

He claimed he didn’t know that she could be nice. Sure he knew. Like how you knew there could be a tornado, but when it happened, you were still pretty fucking surprised. No one expects a tornado, or the Spanish Inquisition, or some shit. He had other things to deal with. Tony’s friend staying over. He was apparently so annoying. “… why is he so annoying?” She figured Lenny could either answer the question, or complain that they weren’t there to gab like little girls, and they could watch the show about sex. Really, nothing they did was going to be “normal” but Frankie didn’t actually mind either way.

Lenny lounged out on the couch more, stretching his legs. "I'm not a fucking homewrecker." He rolled his eyes, but he wasn't really offended, "Anyway, if I fuck someone and they're cheating, that's not my fault... that's them. Like... how am I meant to know shit like that? I don't know if someone's got a boyfriend or girlfriend or whatever." He shrugged - if the scenario was indeed like that with Ana, it wouldn't be the first time Lenny had been in such a situation.

The scenario with Ana was a new one, sleeping with an employer. Lenny hadn't actually been employed long enough for it to have happened before, though he had a sexual relationship with one of his father's personal assistants when he'd been working there and that had ended up very messy, it was still different enough. If anything, he'd been in a position of authority over the assistant. With Ana.. sleeping with someone who obvious authority over him (supposedly) was thoroughly disconcerting at times.

"Well, she didn't get pissed at me for it before." Lenny sighed, folding his arms, "But.. a weekend off a month's good, yeah? Better than fucking nothing." He groaned, throwing his head back against the couch. "I hate that fucking job."

Why was Kyler annoying? The problem wasn't that Kyler himself was annoying, but that Lenny's confused feelings for him were. He frowned, trying to explain it, but that was part of the 'annoying'. "I dunno," Lenny sighed, "He just... is. Or, just... I dunno how to describe it, and that's annoying. I mean, he's not that bad, I just.... Fuck. Like.. he always gets up fucking early. Who does that?" He grumbled, reaching for the bag of potato chips again. He wanted to be annoyed at Kyler, because annoyed was easy to deal with. Annoyed was safe to deal with. He sighed again, in frustration. He did not need Frankie to hone in on whatever was going on between him and Kyler. He was just thankful he wasn't covered in hickeys, he didn't want to imagine what she'd have to say about that.

He looked at the TV, then to Frankie, "You gonna put the movie or whatever on? Uh, the series thing."

They were weird. They weren’t not friends, but they weren’t what most people would consider friends. Well, maybe they weren’t what Frankie assumed most people considered friends. She’d seen her family with people. She’d seen her girlfriend with people. She even had her own friends. They varied quite a bit in how nice they were to each other. It wasn’t that she and Lenny were mean to each other, it was just that they were weird. Maybe she just thought he was weird. He wasn’t a homewrecker though. And he was right, if he didn’t know, it wasn’t his fault. That person would be pretty pissy and most likely blame everyone. Or, be stupid and just blame the “other woman.” Frankie smiled thinking of Lenny as “the other woman” in title. He could be pretty bitchy, after all. Regardless of any of that, he had a good enough point.

Ana apparently didn’t get pissed before about the late thing. That was a far cry from saying he was allowed to. After all, she did seem like she didn’t know how to enforce rules, but that didn’t mean they weren’t rules. Jaywalking, for example, was against the law, but that didn’t mean people listened. Still illegal though, last Frankie checked. Okay, she’d never checked, but someone told her that once and she believed them. Lenny hated his job. “Yeah,” Frankie said, grabbing a drink for herself that was lacking in alcohol, but high in sugar. She would get to the alcohol later. “Want a drink?

Oh, and why was Kyler annoying. Because Lenny didn’t get him. Yeah, like Lenny just got so many things. Frankie could not even imagine how many things Lenny dislike because he didn’t understand them. He always got up early, who does that? “Like… a large enough part of society to keep it functional.” A lot of fucking people. He looked at the TV, then Frankie, then complained about the show not being on.

Yeah, yeah, fine. Let’s watch people talk about fucking, instead of talking about your fucking weird life.” She may or may not have been implying something, but if she was, it wasn’t overt. So most likely she wasn’t. She made sure the DVD was in, and got it set up, holding the remote. The music came on and she clicked to play the first episode. “Now we can learn all about your dream profession.” Escort… not quite a sugar baby, but close enough, really.

A drink would be good, though Lenny was already thinking about alcohol. He nodded, "Yeah. Is it too early to get drunk?" He wanted to Frankie about Kyler so he could complain about his frustrations as to how he felt, but he also didn't want to talk to Frankie about Kyler because he wasn't sure how to broach the subject - the only thing he was sure of was that Frankie would probably laugh at him. What would he even say? 'Hey Frankie, my roommate's friend is really annoying and we kept arguing, but then we fucked and he sleeps in my bed even though we're just hanging out and I feel all weird when I think of him' - yep, not happening. His expression contorted just thinking about it.

He rolled his eyes at Frankie, feeling like she was sticking up for Kyler somehow. "Yeah, but he likes getting up early. It's weird." He said, his tone decisive. He rolled up the top of the bag of chips and set them on the floor next the couch to try and stop himself eating them all, growing frustrated.

"Fuck off." He stuck his middle finger up at Frankie while she set the DVD up, "My life's not weird. You're the one who was a stripper. And it's not my fucking dream profession either. I mean, yeah, it'd be better than working at the bakery, but anything would be fucking better than that right now." He reached for the bag of chips next to him even though he'd moved it, snorting in annoyance. "Maybe we should do shots every time you bitch at me while we watch this." He shot Frankie a slight glare, shuffling on the couch and trying to settle into a comfortable position, "So... this DVD's seriously about a hooker? Does she get naked in it?" Important questions first, obviously.

Was it too early to get drunk? Frankie looked at the digital clock on the wall, that also showed the temperature outside, then dramatically swung her head back to the other side, looking at Lenny, blinking slowly. “Si.” And he complained about this guy again. He liked getting up early. Some people did that. Lenny would never understand. Seriously. She’d lived with him for months. He was never going to understand that some people liked structure. “It would be a waste of my time to try to convince you to understand that some people like getting up early.

He flipped her off, told her to fuck off, and then told her that his life was normal. Well, told her that hers was weird. Because she was a stripper. Frankie shot him a dirty look. She’d liked her job. And if he thought so poorly of her job, then certainly he never would have thought to go to a place like that. “You’re a dick,” she informed him. No, she wasn’t sensitive about her job. She didn’t leave her job because she was ashamed of it. However she had kind of been cornered in an alley that one time because of her job. But sure. Maybe she was slightly more sensitive about it than to let him talk down about it like that. Maybe they should do shots every time she bitched at him.

You’re still a dick,” she reminded him, not giving him any more information to know if she was actually annoyed or not. Seriously about a hooker. “No, its about a high class escort. You have to call and make appointments. They screen you. You don’t just get to show up to a corner to get a girl. I’d think you’d know more about this.” She didn’t know if there was nudity. She didn’t remember any. Just a lot of suggested nudity. Then again, it was entirely possible that they’d run into sex quite quickly, Frankie had become numb to seeing naked women around her because of work.

Lenny wanted to complain about Kyler - why couldn't Frankie just let him complain? No, instead she had to talk sense and halt his complaining and make Lenny feel like she was siding with Kyler somehow.

"If you like people who like getting up early so fucking much then he should sleep in your bed and then see how much you still like it." He bit out, reaching for the bag of potato chips again. He quite liked Kyler sleeping in his bed really, but he was in an argumentative mode with Frankie and was ready to say anything that made it feel like he'd 'won'.

She called him a dick, twice, and Lenny just rolled his eyes, but he didn't completely miss the look she shot him. "What? And so... is that two shots for me later? Or should you have the shots? Or both of us..." he trailed off, still disappointed that Frankie deemed it too early for drinking. "What time's not too early to start drinking?" He asked, a whiny note to his voice. "And why should I know more about how hookers work? I've never done that shit." He frowned, then glanced to Frankie, feeling the need to add, "I mean paid for one or whatever, not been one. Or been one, uh, you know I haven't fucking done that. 'Never had a hooker or anything. It seems fucking complicated." He said, still talking as the programme started, "You didn't say - any of the people at the gym hot? I've started going, kinda. I've been swimming. Still haven't got gym shoes or whatever to do any more than that."

The programme started off with no nudity, just the main character talking, telling the story, to Lenny even a little boring. It quite quickly led to something else, dark lingerie, very blunt confessions. Lenny frowned. "She's... she's hot. It's weird," He sighed, mind not only on the tv programme, and the blonde haired, brown eyed protagonist, "I didn't really think I liked blondes much, like, found them that hot, I mean I don't think I did, until..." Recently, he answered in his mind, thinking of one person in particular. Lenny pursed his lips. "I guess shit like that can change?" He glanced over to Frankie, seeing if she'd have any input.

Why couldn’t Frankie just let Lenny complain about this dude? Because, Lenny was a bit bitchy, and if she let him run with things, he would seriously never stop. He complained about the guy sleeping in his bed, and maybe she wouldn’t like it. “Fuck, Min works at a day care. And we’ve shared a bed for years. I think I’m used to it. I don’t wake up just because someone else does. And maybe if you got your own bed you wouldn’t have to bitch about other people’s sleeping habits.” She didn’t know why they were sharing a bed, but if Lenny was gunna whine, he should fix it. Oh wait, this was Lenny she was talking to. Like he’d fix his own shit.

Frankie did not address his comments on hookers, or shots, but when he asked about how people at the gym she responded. “Yeah. I mean, there’s some hot older guys. Like forty? Dudes who wear shirts but definitely would look better if they just didn’t… and there is this girl I know. She could beat me up. I know her through Min, actually. She works out basically every day of the week, and if she were single and I were single… she totally wouldn’t give me the time of day,” Frankie laughed. Yeah, Ian was too nice for Frankie, and Frankie couldn’t handle celibacy like that shit. “But there’s a good amount of hot people. Swimming is good… uh… yeah, you should buy shoes. Why don’t you have any again?

He said some weird shit about blondes and changing preferences. “Yeah, it can change. I mean… yeah. Personalities change, preferences change. And when you meet someone who is awesome… you learn that you can start liking things just because you like them. I never gave a shit about a lot of things until I settled down so… yeah.” She shrugged. She didn’t know what was up with him, but clearly something. Like, he was not subtle. She let the episodes roll though, and eventually she poured them both a shot.

There, don’t say I never did anything nice for your bitch ass.” She definitely needed more to drink though.
