Landry
Robin Caleb
birth date
02/25/1995
occupation
College Student
status
Single
Sexuality
Heterosexual

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’10”
    Build: Thin, not muscular, skinny
Hair: Short, straight brown hair, somewhat spiked out.
    Eyes: Dark brown
    Skin: Caucasian
    Mods: No tattoos or piercings
Clothing: He likes simple but respectable. He’ll wear a sweater if it is cold, probably instead of a hoodie if he is seeing a girl. A hoodie otherwise. He wears jeans instead of shorts unless it is really laid back. He will happily hang out at his house in boxers if it is just his Dad, but otherwise he usually wears at least somewhat nice clothes, as was instilled in him, oddly, from his father.

PERSONALITY

In no particular order there are a lot of words that apply to Robin’s personality. Robin is very studious, aspiring, and intelligent. Mostly these apply to his school work. He may not always know what he wants to do in the future, but he is well aware that he wants to make something of himself and he won’t settle for anything less than what he feels he can achieve. He is intelligent, logical, and rational. He tries to look at things objectively, but he is only human. That being said he knows when things are unfair, and dislikes that. He can usually get good grades in school without much trouble, but that doesn’t mean he can pass a class with no effort. He studies hard and earns his grades.

Robin is also self-disciplined, dependable, hard-working, and alert. He wasn’t raised to think he had to only fend for himself, at least once he joined the Landry household, but he is very mature and feels that he is responsible for everything he does. He’s usually aware of everything going on around him, unless he tries to avoid it, which can happen around his father, but otherwise won’t. He is dependable and responsible, if he says he is going to be there for someone, or be somewhere on time, you can really count on him.

Overall Robin leads an active life. He isn’t necessarily working out all the time, but he does enjoy jogging or hiking, and generally keeping himself from sitting all day. Even if he is taking a drive out of town just to get out of the house, he enjoys doing things. He is also adventurous. Because of the life he had, both before he was six, and after, he had wanted to really experience things and find out about the world on his own instead of only reading or being told. He is calm, compassionate, and deliberate. When he says something, very rarely is he joking. His serious nature can throw of some, but those who are used to it simply know when he is teasing. When joking and when serious he is quite deliberate. Even if something does bother Robin, he remains calm. In moments of extreme discomfort, he might blush, tap his fingers, or just find an excuse to leave, but he doesn’t get overly animated. Also unless he really doesn’t like someone, he will go out of his way to help them if they really need it. When you have been burned in his mind though he will not spare you his energy.

Robin is honest, independent, and patient. He is not so blunt that he lacks tact, but he won’t say he likes something or approves of it if he does not. He is independent in that although he is very attached to his father, he still has his own interests, and beyond that one relationship he does not really rely on anyone. He has some friends he likes, but he won’t allow himself to need so much that if they fail him he will be in trouble. He is patient, but that does not mean he puts up with a lot of BS. He can wait for something he wants for years, but he won’t wait for someone to grow up if they are clearly too immature. He does, however, know the difference between being playfully childish and actually immature. He is practical, resourceful, and respectful. He knows not everything is possible, but will work with the best of his abilities. Even if he does not like someone he treats them with respect. He rarely snaps at people, even those who don’t deserve his manners.

Robin is a night owl. He grew up with his foster-brother and future adoptive father sometimes having night terrors. This didn’t actually affect his late night habits much, but sometimes he just wanted to stay up. He knew Teagan liked to stay up late and get tired, so Robin liked to stay up with him. Before foster care he stayed up late due to always listening to things. He can go to bed earlier, but he has found he just naturally wakes up more at night. He is mature, adaptable, disillusioned, strong willed, stubborn, and well-grounded. He was raised through change, and he knows he has to adapt to survive. He also knows that life is not a fairy tale, you make it your own, no happy endings, no final failure, you just keep going no matter what. He is strong-willed because of this, and also stubborn. If someone tries to manipulate him, they won’t have much luck. He is well-grounded, not letting himself get swept up in too much superficiality or fun times. He knows there is always work to do, and even though he isn’t always working, he won’t procrastinate just to make himself suffer.

With most people Robin is thick-skinned, open-minded, composed, critical, passive-aggressive, chivalrous, but apprehensive. He is open-minded and critical in that although he will not judge people before he can get to know them, when they start saying things he can judge them. If they slander other people, or do things he disagrees with, he will keep an eye on that. He is passive-aggressive however and is much more likely to ignore or avoid someone than speak up about his disagreement, this is part of how he keeps internalized. He is thick-skinned, if someone doesn’t like him, insults him or his family, it doesn’t hurt him. He doesn’t let them hurt him. He keeps composed so they rarely see his reactions. He is also very apprehensive to trust anyone. He prefers to keep to his own company, but even when he does try to make a friend it is hard for him to actually trust them.

Robin is a lot of things, but there is one relationship that he holds above all else. That is his relationship with his adoptive father, who is his best friend. His relationship with this man and generally other relationships if they grow to this level of familiarity, follow his personality, but with some special exceptions. In this case he can be supportive, young, trustworthy, witty, understanding, loyal, opinionated, appreciative, and protective. He isn’t exactly approachable seeming, but if you know him this well, you won’t have trouble with that anyway. With the people he loves he wants to support them in anything. He believes in them and he will do whatever he can for them, which includes his unlimited support. He is protective of them and will take criticism for them without a second thought just because he loves them. He is trustworthy, keeping secrets and promises with ease. He is actually fairly witty and can slip in his own humor and usually get a smile or a laugh from it. He is understanding, he knows life isn’t perfect, he knows we have bad days, he knows you might not be able to explain your feelings, but he knows you, and that counts for more. He is loyal, not giving up on people he has loved because they have proven good to him, but if they burn him, they clearly stopped caring. It isn’t a minor thing to burn Robin, it takes deliberate effort. He is highly opinionated, despite his natural quietness. If he trusts you enough he will tell you all about his opinions. In his father’s case he often tells him that the man is a horrible embarrassment with his dancing, but it is all overlooked because of their closeness. He appreciates these bonds and it shows in the time and effort he is willing to put forth. Lastly, and this may surprise people the most, he really is young. He is only a teenager, and when given the room and safety to show it, he loves listening to CDs, fixing cars, hanging out, and going on his adventures. He also loves the people he is able to share that with.

HISTORY

Timothy Dwyer and Leah Denver found out they were having a baby together. They rushed off and got married a few months before their son Sean was born in 1985. The parents were still teenagers, but they got along well and worked hard to have a stable life. Sean was able to live a fairly nice life, and his parents could dedicate enough attention to him that they didn’t neglect him. In 1995, when Sean was ten, Robin was born. Sean was already able to take care of himself, but their parents began arguing.

The fighting was never volatile, more so it left things unfinished. If Timothy refused to do dishes when he came home from work, Leah refused to make dinner. Sean was able to go to his friend’s house and get a meal, but Robin had no one to fend for him. Timothy would get angry and go out to eat, and Leah would sit in her room and eat leftovers. Robin wandered the house on his own, playing with a few toys, or just sitting.

Timothy lost his job when Robin was about two and a half, and the already stressful environment degraded. Leah insisted the family live a healthy and vegan lifestyle, but when money started to run out she refused to compromise on this. Sean was playing sports and going to school, Timothy was looking for a new job, and Leah was doing all the housework. Robin was just sitting around doing almost nothing. That meant logically that Robin needed the least amount of food, and on top of that he was already small, so he required less.

The family could not afford a babysitter, but no one had time to watch Robin. Sean hardly lived at home if he could help it. Timothy was busy looking for a job, and Leah, when she wasn’t working on cleaning other people’s houses for some extra cash, needed to de-stress with friends. Friends who assumed that since Timothy wasn’t working, that he was watching Robin. Instead the little boy was left at home. Left to his own devices Robin accidentally knocked over a stack of dishes, breaking them all. He was mostly unharmed, but he needed to be punished. Since his mistake was going to cost the family valuable money spent on food, Robin just wasn’t going to get to eat that night. Food became a punishment and a reward. As stress mounted, Robin got quieter and quieter, because the less he interacted, the more likely it was he got fed. There was no use whining or crying, as he was ignored. As far as a babysitter, the family took to locking Robin in a closet when he was left at home. This would last for hours, or most of a day, and he got used to sitting in the dark quietly, never knowing when they would return.

After a while the family realized that Leah was pregnant again. In 1998 she had a daughter named Michelle. Sean had all but checked out of the family, Timothy finally got a job after Michelle was born, and Leah was fully dedicated to her daughter. Robin was used to being quiet by then, and it was easy to forget him. Life was approximately like this for years. Robin rarely saw either of his siblings, if he even saw anyone. He didn’t go out and play, he kept to his room if he was out of the closet. When he was six and started school his health was so obviously indefensible and the teachers looked into it immediately. Files were changed and sixteen year old Sean, six year old Robin, and three year old Michelle were all removed from the home.

Robin was not healthy enough to be put in a new home immediately, but when he was, he was moved to a nice family in Connecticut. Chandra Landry and her fourteen year old son Teagan. Robin didn’t tell Teagan that he was close to Sean’s age. He had no relationship and almost no memories of his brother, so comparing the Landry boy to Sean would have been pointless. They were nothing alike. Teagan would give Robin hugs and try to take him on walks, but it all confused Robin. He was skittish and shy and honestly confused about going outside. As time progressed he found a few things he liked. He liked to be outside. He liked to explore the world, and he loved meat. Teagan was always positive and friendly to the younger boy, and Robin latched on without realizing it.

Mrs. Landry was a lovely woman, and although Robin relied on her, it wasn’t her who did the work. It wasn’t Chandra who came in at night to tuck Robin in and insisted five times over that he get a bedtime story. It wasn’t Chandra who threw Robin on up on shoulders and carried him around the yard. It wasn’t Chandra who introduced Robin to friends and make sure he was never left at home alone. She was a very lovely woman, always made sure things were provided, but she wasn’t enough for the emotionally withdrawn little boy. Still, Robin loved her more than he had ever loved his own mother. He slowly slipped into acceptance. He liked the neighbor kids, he liked his foster family, and he felt safe. He got anxious as Teagan neared high school graduation. The loving half-older-brother-half-father-figure was going to go away to college. Robin accepted the situation, but it still made him sad.

Just after the town graduation, a couple weeks off, Chandra Landry was in a major car accident. She was killed and Robin was ready to recoil into himself. He knew Teagan was going to college, and they had no adults to rely on. They relied on each other. Teagan immediately changed his plans to go away to college. When the proper authorities came to rehome Robin, Teagan wasted no time figuring out what was necessary to prevent that. He adopted Robin and asked if the boy was alright changing his last name. There was no hesitation. Robin had already been considered one of the Landry boys for years now, and it felt only appropriate to suddenly be an official member of the family. It was hard to see Teagan shutting down inside over the loss of his mother, but Robin was grateful for everything. He again had a home, and felt secure that things were not going to be taken away. He couldn’t help but worry, and couldn’t help but cringe every time he heard his adoptive father’s night terrors waking the whole house, but he was happier than he’d expected.

It was a hard time for both the boys, and with Teagan’s best friend running off just before all of this happened it was only to be expected that Teagan internalized. He had a bad habit of that. Robin knew him though, and they were bad at lying to each other. Robin came out of his shell a bit more, though the blow of losing Chandra destabilized him. He accepted that things were not normal, but he was coming to terms with his own personality in contrast with those of people around him. When his father started dating again Robin hardly cared. So Teagan wanted to date a guy? Okay. He did find the show of affection odd. It was just not Robin. Touching people he didn’t know, or any discussion of sex. It all made him cringe. His father stayed in town, got a teaching degree, and started teaching Spanish at the local high school. He had already taught Robin to speak French and Spanish with some fluidity. His senior year of high school he noticed his father asking about the new French teacher. He teased a bit, but never cared to get that involved. He went away to college for an Engineering degree. Adjusting to a whole new social setting has been confusing, but not as confusing as trying to get to know his father’s boyfriend turned fiancé. Robin loves his family and appreciates the life he has, but it has never became all that easy to interact with others how they may see fit.

MISC NOTES

Robin’s last name was formerly Dwyer.

He never smokes, drinks, or does drugs.

He is currently attending the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, CT.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Adoptive Father: Teagan Landry. By far Robin’s best friend, the only person he trusts with anything and everything. Although he won’t actually say it aloud, Robin knows that if he needs to go to someone for comfort, he will go to Teagan.

Foster Mother: Chandra Landry. Although Chandra is dead now, Robin still feels an attachment to her. He knew she had problems, but he never saw them very in depth, especially since he was still young when she died.

Father’s boyfriend: Byron Tierney. Robin has not figured this man out. He knows that his father is in love, and for that he is willing to go out of his comfort zone, but he has not had enough time to really have a relationship yet. He actually does, if asked, like Byron though.

Biological family: Robin prefers not to think about any of them.

”So your Dad has a boyfriend?” the girl asked slowly over her textbook. Robin clawed his fingers through his hair.

“Yep.”

His answer was straight to the point. Wasn’t it always? Why should he be defending the fact? It was a fact. It didn’t need defense.

“Right, so he’s gay?”

“No, he likes women too.” There, that was a defense right? No, not really. It was just a correction.

“But he’s only dated men that you really remember?” she asked. She really seemed to be searching for something.

Robin made a slight thought face. “No, I mean… more so, but he always had a girlfriend in high school.” He could have added that it was a different girl each year, and that they only lasted about a month, but why? He didn’t volunteer information about himself when there was no point, so he wasn’t going to serve it up about his father either.

“And you remember them?” she asked, making a disturbed face. She sighed, “Right, right, he’s only like twenty-six now. That is so weird. Isn’t that weird? Don’t you feel like you like lost out? You know, with him being a kid most of the time?”

“Not really,” Robin shrugged. What did he need to say? That Teagan had been a better father to Robin than his own? That Teagan loved him more than she could imagine, and had done so at a time when Robin thought love to be unachievable? That if she thought her parents paying for her tuition was special; she should have seen his father turn around days after his mother died just to adopt Robin? Should he explain that his father had been an adult long before he met Robin? That the only good thing about Teagan’s childhood was that it made him the perfect parent for Robin? Should he have said those things to some girl he was studying with? No. Because she was some girl who had enjoyed a nice life, and Robin was whole merely because he had lucked out in finding his father. She would not understand, and he did not open up to people.

She looked as if she was waiting for an explanation. She wanted a very telling reason for why it wasn’t weird, or bad, or something. She wanted Robin to overshare because that was just what people did, but instead he just looked at her somewhat blankly. He was not blank. He had a million things going on in his head because he had to keep up with the world to make sure he didn’t get left behind. He looked blank because he had realized he was not going to enjoy the rest of the conversation. He externally shut down for some people, and she was rapidly becoming “some people.”

“Right, well anyway,” she said, trailing off and going back to the subject matter. They discussed their general science course for a good while. It was fairly nice actually. He didn’t mind science. He was taking several math courses and a full work load of general education. Twenty hours, and he would have another twenty the next semester. She had twelve hours and complained about their homework. He didn’t really care though, because he didn’t know her that well, and although he knew she hit on him often enough, he didn’t invest in people easily.

“Oh, this is talking about how diamonds are made,” she said with a smile. Robin arched an eyebrow at her before she showed him the page in the book. It was definitely a diamond. She made some comment on how much she loved diamonds and then hit him with a cheerful, “when I get engaged, I want a big diamond.”

“Only engagement ring I know about doesn’t have a rock at all.”

There. She wanted that bit of oversharing. He could have nodded and moved along. This wasn’t intentional. All he had meant by it was the truth. It came to mind and so he said it. It seemed harmless. Of course it wasn’t harmless. Because it led to about ten minutes of discussion. She wanted to know whose engagement ring, and she wanted to give him a short explanation about how tacky it was to not have a diamond on an engagement ring. It was unheard of. Simply impossible. What girl would want an engagement ring without a stone?

“It isn’t for a girl though. It’s for Dad’s boyfriend.”

Right, right, this was why he didn’t open up to people. She didn’t really care that they were gay. He knew that much. Had she cared he wouldn’t have talked about it at all. She gave him another look. He was busy remembering the description Robin’s father had given him of the twisted metal. He had been anxious and kept cutting himself off. It was earlier that week. He’d only told Robin earlier that week. It should have surprised Robin, but after seeing his father with Byron Tierney, it simply didn’t surprise him.

“But isn’t that… like way too soon?” she asked. Oh, right, he was with someone. And she was judgemental on things she didn’t understand. Right, he needed to remember that. He could have answered. He could easily dismiss that with a “no” but before he got the chance to dismiss her silly question she added to it. “I mean, its been like six months right? They’re going to crash and burn if he does that.”

She really said that? Even she knew it was a bad choice. It was stupid to doom them with her words, but they both knew what she meant. She meant that she was fully convinced that Byron and Teagan would fall apart if they got engaged. She meant she was sure that based on some arbitrary time requirement that had not yet been met by their relationship that they were doomed to fail. Robin knew those people. The people who thought everything worked the same for everyone, and that the unconventional things were just asking to fall apart.

“You don’t know a thing on it, so shut up, alright?” he said fairly quickly. She was surprised, of course, and didn’t look like she knew what to say. He helped her with that, “You haven’t seen my Dad around him, so you don’t know. You probably won’t ever see that sort of relationship. All about stipulations and what-worked-for-most-people-is-the-only way, well that’s stupid. I’ve never seen my Dad that happy or in love so you can take your stupid opinions back to the ignorant hole they came from. You’ll probably find some diamonds there, I hear stupidity likes shiny stuff,” he said, before his jaw locked. The last part didn’t even make that much sense to her, based on her expression, but Robin didn’t care. It took a lot to push him to saying things he didn’t intend to say, but he didn’t say things if he didn’t mean them. He grumbled and grabbed his text book, wishing her some good luck on their final. He couldn’t keep sitting there, he needed some air.

DeSonier
Gage Laurie
birth date
09/12/1982
occupation
Head Chef, Ambrosia
status
Single
Sexuality
Homosexual

APPEARANCE

    Height: 6’2”
Build: Muscular, fit, more definition in his muscles than casually healthy men.
Hair: Light brown, occasionally looks like dark blond in sunlight, kept short but often messy looking.
    Eyes: Muddy Brown Eyes.
Skin: Caucasian skin, but not light enough to be fair, though he is tanned year round due to working out in the sun even in the winter.
Mods: Gage has several tattoos, including Roman Numerals’s on both sides of his neck(primarily X), a design and praying hands on his right arm, and his daughter’s name and birthday wrapped around his left leg, the same leg he has burn marks on. He also has a dragon tattooed on his left arm.
Clothing: Gage dresses fairly casual. He jeans, and some button up shirts. He has the money to get nice clothes, and he finds fashion quite interesting, so he looks good with whatever he selects. Sometimes he will wear t-shirts, usually with some design or logo, instead of a plain shirt. Those are usually days when Noah wants to go to play. He has a favorite black leather jacket he wears in the winter. Not that he minds wearing shorts and wife-beaters, but those are usually only for days at the beach. He is modest most of the time, he has an impressionable daughter after all.

PERSONALITY

In the past Gage was very wary. He felt abandoned by his father, and insignificant. He was very guarded, and emotionally cut off. He is a much better man and in a much better place now, but some things have carried over permanently. When Gage’s first boyfriend cheated on him he learned a new level of distrust. He has chosen to give himself to someone, and they decided he wasn’t good enough. In fact, a woman was worth more than Gage to this man. He is still extremely uncomfortable around almost all women. From being forced to do things by his mother, from Emily, and from the woman Dante cheated with. At the end of the day though, Gage is a single-father. He adores Noah, she can do almost no wrong, and he wants to protect her from everything. He tries to let her live, but he worries.

He is still somewhat afraid. He is the sort of man who lets himself be vulnerable, because he knows the reward is worth it. When he dated Edward he remained emotionally cut off and that sabotaged the relationship. Of course he still fears heartache, but rarely fear. He used to be depressed, and from that he is still a little hurt. Toward the people in his past he is unforgiving. They took so much away from him, he doesn’t even pretend he is a good enough man to forgive them for that. He remains guarded from most people, but not from his lover. Even friends do not get as close as they may like. He needs approval from his lover, and is self-conscious about his appearance. He has been told he is good looking, but in the end he remembers being torn down for years, and though he doesn’t worry about his appearance, he doesn’t actually feel attractive very often. He is reserved socially, and reclusive most days. If he had a lover, and Noah didn’t insist they go out, he would be happy to sit in his trailer and not see anyone else. He can be quiet, but he is still dominant in relationships. He used to be flighty, but now he will stick to any relationship unless they cheat on him. He does get suspicious of cheating if his lover is acting strange though.

Gage regrets that he let himself be manipulated into being in porn. He is ashamed that people he doesn’t know can google him and find videos of him. The thought that someone would ever talk to Noah about those things sickens Gage. If most children were to google their parents they might find random results and a facebook pictures. Needless to say Gage watches his daughter closely if she is ever online, and is very secretive about his past.

Because Gage’s ex acted like he wanted to help, Gage worked hard to avoid needing help. He is self-reliant. In his life most of the people have disappointed him, and this makes him somewhat pessimistic, but that doesn’t give him an excuse to rest. He is lonely at times, and that motivates him. He has never been afraid of commitment. He feels that commitment is essential to life. If you don’t commit, what are you doing? Hoping. Hope is wonderful, he is a very hopeful man, but if you don’t go out and make things happen all you are doing is wishing and being lazy. Gage is too aggressive to let things just work out on their own. If he wants someone, he is direct, and he is assertive. He doesn’t wait around. If he likes a man, chances are he will ask them out right away. Why wait? They can see on a date if they are compatible. There is no such thing as “friend zone” with Gage, unless you are the one liking him and he doesn’t know it. Then you should probably just tell him, he doesn’t see the point in playing coy.

Gage can be a bit absent minded, letting his thoughts wander to what he is going to cook that night, what he should make for Noah, or how someone would look in a sketch. He is always very apologetic if he feels he has wronged someone, but he is adaptable, so he easily goes with the flow. He is very artistic and attentive to his friends. Gage if friendly, once you get him past his quietness, fun loving, funny, and imaginative. He is an independent man but slightly clingy with his man. He is also possessive of any boyfriend. He is frantic to keep his man, appreciative of good company, and affectionate. While he is gentle most of the time, he can be an aggressive lover. He is also very cuddly.

He is experienced from living several places and working at a variety of jobs. He is reflective of his experiences and how he can improve. He is honest, and trustworthy, but sometimes unpredictable, in a spontaneous way. He is evasive only to questions about his past and then mostly because he doesn’t want it to come back to Noah. He is fiercely protective of her. He is accommodating, and communicative. He loves to flirt with a man he is interested in, and he is likeable. He is a romantic, sensitive, sincere, encouraging, dependable, emotional, and likeable. He is passionate about his love and his art.

There is a hidden part of Gage that he dislikes. He is a pacifist. He would much rather talk things out than fight. He is sweet, tactful, soft-hearted, and soft-spoken. However if you truly anger him, legitimately push him too far, he is fiery. He can be hateful and combative, but does not fight. Usually he is passive aggressive. He is also fairly observant with people and playful. He is thrifty, and that is why he has so much money saved up, and can still buy whatever he wants. Lastly he is a night owl. There are just so many things to do at night. Why sleep?

HISTORY

In 1982, twenty-six year old Simeon Keane Masters met twenty-two year old Desiree Candace DeSonier. She was an English girl on a short vacation in the states. The two met and the naïve young woman fell for the playboy’s charm. He was gone in a few weeks, and Desiree got on with her vacation. She realized she was pregnant a few months later. Desiree came from a wealthy, upstanding family in England, and they refused to let her come back to England with her child. Thus Desiree found an apartment in northern New York. This is where she had her son Gage Laurie DeSonier.

Growing up Gage didn’t see his mother work until he was five years old. She simply put him in day care, and took him to meet men. At first she managed to find some nice guys by using Gage as an accessory, and Desiree went on dates constantly. She got boyfriends to buy her gifts, take her to nice dinners, and generally pamper her, but that came to an end. At twenty-seven there were no boyfriends willing to waste their money on the immature single-mother. Gage was put into first grade early to get him out of the house, and Desiree got a job as an office secretary.

Gage was a very outgoing boy, and fairly clever. He excelled in class and skipped ahead so that he started his freshman year of high school at twelve years old. Desiree started dating a man when Gage was twelve, named Moe. Moe was a slacker with ties to the porn business, from several ex-girlfriends. He tore Gage down constantly, and the young man’s grades declined while his social interaction all but ceased. He spent the next two years destroying any confidence Gage had, and the worst blow was when he found out about Gage’s father Simeon. Simeon was a playboy with fifteen known children by fifteen different women. The youngest children being two infants, born only a month apart. Moe convinced Gage that since he was no more than the result of one of his father’s conquests, he owed his mother for even being alive.

Moe continued to wear Gage down, and convinced Desiree that her son was potentially a money maker. At fourteen Moe did unforgiveable things to Gage. Desiree wondered at first if it was a good idea, and Gage freaked out. A few cigarette burns on the bottom of Gage’s heel later, and he gave up and let Moe do what he wanted.

Things went downhill from there. For the next year Moe kept manipulating Gage, and Gage finished junior year with grades barely high enough. Moe tormented Gage even more about his poor grades, convincing the teenager that he was stupid. Desiree didn’t help, insisting Gage do more to support the family. She had quit her job, and Moe never worked. Gage made the mistake of timidly asking what he could do. The two adults suggested something even worse. Gage whimpered at the prospect, and Moe insulted him for being a coward.

Eventually Gage was manipulated into what Moe wanted him to do. He hated it. Things happened several more times before Gage graduated high school. He was sixteen, and although he desperately wanted to run away, his mother reminded him that at only sixteen, he had nowhere to go.

Moe and Desiree finally broke up, but Desiree was no better. She used her son for a paycheck. He was so used to things he all but gave up on everything. At eighteen she was able to introduce her son to porn. He was apparently quite good looking, even if he felt disgusting. He earned a top rate as a newbie for two years. Then he was well known. He met a girl named Emily Valentine. An up and coming porn star, even at eighteen. She would do anything, and her personality proved her depravity. She repulsed Gage. She was flirtatious, whorish, immature, and rude. She brought out a side of him he had never seen. Loathing. A producer decided their animosity looked like chemistry, and have them shoot a full film together. Gage hated every moment of it, more than usual. They had a live sex show together after that, and he swore he would never work with her again.

Desiree finally told Gage that he wasn’t making enough money, and with his will still beaten down he asked what she wanted him to do about it. Gay porn. It made more money. He didn’t even care. He went to the shoot, he enjoyed it, oddly, more than sex with women. This confused him, and he accepted an offer for another shoot the next week. Gage happily took charge in this shoot, and found he enjoyed it even more. He actually enjoyed being in charge for once. He started hoarding his money away, giving his mother only a small amount, and working in secret. Then he got a job as a waiter between videos. One day, while researching his father a little more, he discovered the man now had twenty known children, including himself. The youngest was a girl sixteen years younger than him. He felt like he was too similar to his father, and went to talk to Desiree.

Gage insisted he was going to stop participating in porn, and Desiree flipped out at him. She berated him, told him he was ruining her life. He got angry and threatened to tell the police about the past. She backed off and agreed to let him go. Gage ran away immediately, at only twenty-two years old, with no real concept of living alone. He took his savings and moved to Alaska, getting as far away from his mother as he felt he could. He worked as a lumberjack for about a year, where he met his boyfriend Dante Franks.

Dante told Gage that he wanted to help him. Gage told him about all he had gone through, and in the end Dante manipulated him. Gage was fragile, and although he invested emotionally, Dante just wanted sex. He damaged what little self-esteem Gage had built up, but Gage hung on until he saw Dante sleeping with a girl from the nearby town. Gage immediately moved, and at twenty-three he lived in Ottumwa, Iowa. In Iowa Gage worked as a secretary for a small fashion designer, and a busboy at a local restaurant. He learned that he enjoyed drawing, especially people, or people in interesting outfits. But more than drawing, Gage enjoyed cooking. He wasn’t necessarily a culinary genius, but he enjoyed all the things he could cook.

Gage spent two years in Iowa, and got another boyfriend. Edward was not emotionally abusive, but the relationship did end when emotionally withdrawn Gage found Edward cheating on him with another man. Gage stayed in town another three months after that relationship. He casually dated several men, and learned what was wrong with him. He needed to open up, and trust people. He didn’t want someone to have sex with, he wanted to sleep with a man, and talk. And then he would show them all the things he knew about sex, if they were interested. He became much more aggressive and assertive over time.

At twenty-five Gage was talking to a man he knew from porn, and got to wondering about people. The man asked Gage if he thought it was interesting that Emily had taken a couple of years off making porn. Gage found the question odd, so he searched for her. He found pictures of Emily, whose face still disgusted him, with a young girl, and eventually some information on the child. Noah Charlotte Valentine. She was clinging to the leg of her stiletto wearing, booty-short sporting, mother. He gagged, but he couldn’t ignore the birth date of the young child. October 28, 2003.

With a few calls to people Gage would have preferred forget the names of, he got ahold of Emily Valentine. The conversation was horrific to him. She was really busy at the moment, could he call after the party? Who was this anyway? “Gage Laurie. From the… sex video, in 2003.” “Gage… wait, the hateful little ****?!” “Sure.” “Oh my god, I have your freaking child!” “You… you what?” Apparently she was fairly sure the young woman was his daughter, and if he would get his negligent self to New York she would happily make him take a paternity test. The child was really difficult to deal with in her lifestyle.

Gage immediately flew to New York, despite wanting to be far from his mother. The sweet little five year old girl quietly eyed Gage until the paternity test came back positive. He got wasted that night, trying to figure out how to convince Emily to let him take their daughter. She wouldn’t live a happy life. He had to spare the girl that. When he got a call the next morning at eight AM his head throbbed. Emily informed him that he had to take Noah. Emily didn’t want to deal with her. He gladly accepted and within a week he and his daughter were in Lochland Grove, Connecticut. He moved into a trailer and started getting to know Noah.

In the next month Gage got a job as a chef at Ambrosia. He added a tattoo with Noah’s name and birthday to his growing collection of tattoos. Two things had changed in his appearance throughout his porn career. He started working out and grew substantial muscle, and he added tattoos. He also legally changed Noah’s last name to DeSonier. In the next five years Gage became very close to his daughter. He dated two other men in that time, but was instantly serious. He never asked out a man he wasn’t extremely interested in, but he became serious quickly. He did not play around, having to make good choices as to what men he brought into Noah’s life. He still lives in a trailer, because he and Noah fit comfortably, but he has very substantial savings from his hard working and hoarding money.

Gage made friends, honestly. He had a few since he came to Lochland five years ago. One man considered them… friendly acquaintances. He’d set Gage up on a date at the beginning of the summer, but the boy ended up moving. Gage had liked him, so he supposed the acquaintance did his homework. Gage didn’t want to be set up anymore though. He hadn’t wanted it in the first place, so it worked out nicely. Now he had an excuse. He was interested in someone. He couldn’t exactly say he was pursuing the young man though. Two nights ago at work he’d asked him out. Oh yes, at work. And he was turned down, but he’d had a lot of time to think it over.

Today he was sitting around his house. He’d made a casserole that afternoon and when Noah finished eating she went to her bedroom to clean. She had a list of chores and they had to be finished now. He made sure their lives were orderly. It wasn’t as if she had a lot to do. Make her bed, look at her clothes to see which needed washed, put them in a hamper, pick up any toys, and with his help she could vacuum once a week in the summer. Only her room, and mostly it was him showing her how. She also did dishes with his help. He gave her small chores, but for the most part nothing took too long because they kept up with it. And she still wanted to play three musical instruments and take dance class. Gage respected her ambition at nine.

Still, besides Noah, and assorted acquaintances, Gage did actually have people he considered his friends. His real, honest, adult friendship type friends. Those were good to have, right? Yes. So he had a few actual friends after living here for five years. One of his friends was coming over that day, and he was actually a bit interested in talking to her. Gage wasn’t the sharing type. He kept his feelings inside, and that way they didn’t become a problem, but she’d been stubborn, and now he was interested in talking to her. He left the door unlocked and waited in the kitchen putting away food now.

APPEARANCE

    Height5’10”
Build: He works out enough to have some bulk and a good figure, but he is no body builder.
    Hair: Curly dirty blonde hair.
    Eyes: Light green eyes.
Skin: Gray, with a small hint of green.
Mods: He does have a tattoo on his back calf, and one on his side, but he is very rarely seen in little enough clothing to show those.
Clothing: He tended to wear jeans and t-shirts around the house. Lately he has taken to wearing a lot of sweatpants around the house because he started working out frequently. He does not dress up often, besides a button down shirt and slacks for work. He is naturally a casually dressing man.

PERSONALITY

Shannon is affectionate. He likes to do things for his children and to hug them. He enjoyed physical contact with his wife, though as far as sex he had mixed feelings. She tended to become possessive and needy when she got bored, so it was more a chore than anything else. Of late he is weary of any physical contact besides with his children. He isn’t sure what to do with it. This plays into how bashful he can get. Although he is a sweet and caring man, sometimes he can act shy. He likes to help and he enjoys being positive and doing things for others, be it family, friends, co-workers, students, or even charities. Since he is so out of practice with flirting, much less dating, he gets bashful at physical contact and any sort of flirtatious attention. This helps him to be hesitant. He knows he wants to have someone in his life, but he is afraid of messing up, and that makes him hesitant to try, which can bleed into other aspects of his life lately.

Despite being hesitant, he is a lonely man, and that pushes him forward. He sometimes enjoys being active, but he has definitely picked it up lately in his life. It is one of the few things he now feels he has complete control over. He may actually talk to people when he is exercising, but more likely he is just receptive of other people talking to him. He is also a bit jealous and possessive. He won’t actually show this, but if he has his eye on someone he is going to be weary of them talking to someone else. Not because he is paranoid that they are cheating on him, or would if they dated, but because he simply wishes they were talking to him instead. He is careful of who he trusts, what he opens up about, and what he does, although sometimes he lets himself do more in hopes it will work out.

He is a composed man. When he is bashful it doesn’t always show, but even if it does, that is his social life. He is very professional and maintains the appearance of professionalism at all times. He actually enjoys meetings because it allows him to discuss things with people he respects, get things done, and spend time with other adults. He is hard working and truly enjoys accomplishing things. He is quiet, talking more in his personal life than his professional. He knew he had to talk to engage his wife, and he knows his children and friends enjoy talking to him, so he adapted to talk more to them, but he speaks less professionally. He likes to see where people are coming from and let them talk so he can think about the situation, and since things have gotten more strained in his life he uses his general quiet nature to help with keeping composed.

Shannon is a straight laced guy, he is serious, he likes to get things done. He can still enjoy life, but he doesn’t enjoy practical jokes or messing up other people’s work. He is mature and moralistic. He’s had to take care of people often in his life, and didn’t have the luxury of being childish. This does not bother him as he can still enjoy his life even with responsibility. This helps to make him very dependable, as he would never wish to harm anyone else’s progress, and he finds it morally wrong to sabotage anything. Getting back to his morals, he may not agree with everything anyone has ever told him is right or wrong, but for the most part he knows what he thinks is good and bad, and he rarely strays from that.

He is practical, knowledgeable, and supportive. He knows various things on a lot of topics and enjoys sharing what he knows, as well as learning. He knows that although some goals are nice, they will take a lot to achieve them, and some people are not that patient. He is very patient, but he’s aware that doesn’t apply to everyone else. Even knowing this, he supports those he loves, and people in general, and is willing to help them achieve their goals. He is orderly, preferring to keep his space tidy and giving his children various chores to maintain the household. His life isn’t regimented, but he knows what is going on at all times.

Lastly the sadder part of Shannon. He is penitent. He felt badly for his relationship in high school, and though he could have coped with that and moved on, his wife never allowed it. He was reminded frequently enough that he feels extremely guilty and will do whatever he can to make up for it, even if that ends up simply being to be a good father for his children. He is thoughtful, liking to take people’s feelings into account and never wanting to hurt anyone, even those who hurt him. He is sentimental and puts a lot of value on the effort and emotions people put into things more so than the cost or even the end result of their gifts or favors. He is vulnerable and troubled from the divorce. He feels insecure about things, and with limited dating experience before he ended up with his wife, and no experience since, he is not sure what to do. He feels less that he was not a good enough husband for her, and more that he may not find a woman who appreciates him. He also knows anyone he brings into his life with affect his children.

HISTORY

Shannon was born in Hartford, Connecticut. His family moved to Lochland Grove when he was five years old. It became home, even with frequent trips to Hartford. He enjoyed living in town, and excelled in school. He was passionate about learning and helping people, taking up after school tutoring to help other students. At sixteen years old he met a woman named Lacey Hawke. They became friends and after a year they started dating.

Shannon’s generally calm personality didn’t always mesh well with Lacey’s eager and adventurous self, but he kept her grounded and she enjoyed his sincere attention. Shannon had a bit of a flirtatious streak and Lacey got easily jealous, as did he. When a new student, from a very mobile family, came through town Lacey and Shannon got into an argument and split up temporarily. Shannon took this time to start spending all his energy on the new girl, who he ended up getting pregnant. Her family moved and she simply said she would deal with it herself. Shannon was a mess and Lacey and he got back together only due to her being nice to him in his fragile state. He toned down any rebellious behavior he had going on and focused solely on her and his education.

Shannon and Lacey went to college together and got married quickly. She was often bored with their lives and so at nineteen, despite Shannon’s protests, Lacey got pregnant. He had insisted that they needed to focus on school and didn’t have time for a child, but Lacey was bored, and reminded Shannon that he had gotten another girl pregnant, so he should have no trouble doing that for his wife. He tended to shut up whenever she brought that comment up. When Avril was born they were stressed for cash. When she was a few months old Shannon was going to school and working a full time job. Lacey did classes while taking care of the baby, but decided another baby would secure her hold on Shannon, or maybe she just wanted to spend more time with him, and so she got pregnant again.

At twenty-one years old, still working on his degree, and with a wife and two daughters, Avril and Skye, Shannon convinced Lacey to move back to Lochland and live with his parents for the time being while he worked and finished school. Lacey’s family had already moved away, and difficult as it was to be apart from his family, Shannon worked hard and managed to graduate at twenty-two with enough money to at least survive. He got a job at the local school teaching in Lochland while Lacey went back to school nearby. She took classes much slower, primarily at night, while working a job during the day. During this time Shannon was the primary support for his daughters, and he became increasingly attached to them. Shannon’s parents moved away and sold the house to Shannon and Lacey.

Lacey finally finished her degree, at twenty-five years old, and again decided more children would be nice. She stopped taking her birth control without informing Shannon, and when she wound up pregnant he was hurt. He looked at his nearly six and five year old daughters and decided to accept the situation without complaint. Soon twins Simon and Annie were born. Lacey stayed home to watch the children but as soon as Shannon was home he was their primary caregiver.

In recent years Shannon has become principle at the high school, and is still heavily involved in learning. His older daughters are in high school, with the twins being ten. Lacey had gotten a full time job which was becoming a career. In early 2013 she informed Shannon that she didn’t want to be with him. His somewhat reckless stage had been what attracted her initially, and that was beaten down by responsibility, consequences, and her own lecturing. She no longer appreciated his stability as she felt she could provide that for herself. The children didn’t need as much of her time, so she found herself bored. Shannon knew why she wanted to leave, but it crushed him. Before the end of the year she had a new boyfriend. It took several months to finalize things, as the house and their children were a major struggle. The divorce is now finalized, and the children stay with their mother every weekend, while she lives in Hartford. Shannon had taken to working out more now, as Avril has pointed out periodically, but he is too wounded and quiet right now to know how to actually be social again.

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’7”

    Build: Thin, delicate, feminine

    Hair: Light blonde hair

    Eyes:> Blue

    Skin: Fair

Mods: Not even pierced ears, but she does have a Nightmare Before Christmas Tattoo all across her back.

Clothing: Jani used to wear a lot of designer clothing and very fashionable pieces. However since moving to America she only has a few very nice outfits. She wears them sparingly, and misses the luxury. Mostly she gets by wearing her boyfriend’s oversized outfits, or cheap outfits she can buy and try to accessorize.

PERSONALITY

Jani is a sweet girl, she loves to be nice to people and she is naturally cheerful. At home with her parents she was bubbly and carefree, but now she has grown to be very careful. Being around her boyfriend turns her into a slightly different person. She is still herself, but an anxious version of herself. She is afraid of him, but doesn’t know how to fix that. She is extremely apologetic when she messes something up. It used to be that she did this because she was sensitive and never wanted to disappoint anyone, but now it is because she is anxious that she will meet some repercussions for her actions. This is not helped by the fact that she is a clumsy girl. She is also very artistic, and loves to paint, but she had a habit of spilling her paints, and so she had to stop that at home. She takes comfort in her tattoo when she is unable to paint.

Jani is a caring girl. She is young but she is very cultured. That doesn’t mean she knows much about modern culture. She is naïve about how modern society works, and how most people function, but she is cultured in that she knows classical things. She is also very curious. She wants to learn about people and society, and that is how she ended up moving away from home. She is fairly instinctive, but when going away with her boyfriend she ignored her impulses. She isn’t planning to do that again even for the idea of an adventure. She is highly educated by her family, but that does not translate into street smarts. She is innocent, and most people either want to protect her or corrupt her.

She is a chaste little girl. She wants to be modest and well mannered. She knows her manners very well, and is very obedient. This applies to her superiors, her elders, but lately it applies mostly to her boyfriend. She used to have a high self-esteem, but since she met him she has a lot of self-doubt. Despite any self-doubt she is still optimistic. She’s sure things will work out, and people are there to make friends. She is gentle and loving. If she made a friend she would show her naturally cuddly impulses. She is a vulnerable girl, and being with her boyfriend has only made her more-so.

Jani is actually a sensual woman. Now she would turn red if anyone said that about her, but it is true. She loves all her senses. She loves silk, amber, sunsets, and French vanilla hot chocolate. She loves feeling things with her hands, tasting them, smelling them, and seeing them. She is also a big fan of hearing things, generally classical music. Despite this, and being gentle, she is a timid and quiet woman. She is also serene. Usually in her life she is calm, doesn’t worry about things a lot, and is able to accept change. She is honest and light-hearted as well.

Jani gets very flustered at anything sexual. Or when she gets embarrassed. Or someone flirting with her. She usually tries to steer them away from those conversations, but lately she wants to feel nice sometimes. She is very disciplined and focused when she is at work. Her discipline applies to most of her life, but the focus applies almost solely to her paintings. She is likeable and friendly. She is passive-aggressive. If she has a problem with you, she hopes you will go away, but she won’t tell you that. Lastly she is generous. Jani would give her shoes to someone who needed them and only feel bad when he boyfriend yelled at her for being stupid later. But she’d still do it again the next day, because if someone needs something more than her, she wants to help them.

HISTORY

Jani was born to Rosalind and Bruno Weiß. The pair met at social functions in late high school, married at twenty-one and twenty-two, then waited about three years to have their first child. Their first child was Evert. Evert was five years old before his little sister was born. Heidi Jannike. Everyone called her Heidi, and she was to be a classic German beauty. Mrs. Weiß owned an Opera House and Mr. Weiß developed apartment complexes in the area. They had a lot of money, but Mrs. Weiß took off a lot of work when Heidi started school, so that she could be homeschooled. She brought in a tutor so that Heidi got the best education, but Rosalind also stayed home some days to teach Heidi about classical music and art. Heidi loved classical music, but she really wasn’t good with an instrument. She did love to paint though. She loved most exaggerated and abstract art. She wanted her pictures to be easily identified, but be her interpretation of what the picture really looked like. It suited her fine, and her family always enjoyed to see what she did.

As Heidi got older she developed a slight romantic interest. She was still being home schooled, and didn’t have the best social skills, but she did like people. Her parents took trips to other countries, and always brought Evert and Heidi. When Evert graduated private school and started university he couldn’t come anymore, so it was just Heidi. This gave her some time alone with people her own age. She quickly discovered that she was fascinated with people. She got her first kiss when she was fourteen, from a girl at a park, before her parents came around. She was flushed so much they thought she was sick, and she lay in bed thinking about it. That didn’t mean she didn’t like boys, she definitely did, but she mostly just liked art.

When Heidi was sixteen she met a boy named Nick Hastings. He was seventeen, on vacation with his family in Germany. He spoke almost fluent German, and they hit if off after both being part of a play at the local theatre that summer. When he went home to America they e-mailed back and forth constantly. Daily even. She was fascinated with him, and he was obsessed with her. He came back to Germany a month before Heidi turned eighteen, and he was affectionate and sweet. When she turned eighteen she ran away with him to America. His parents had divorced and upon his mother’s death she left all her money to Nick when he turned eighteen. He moved to Lochland Grove, Connecticut into her small house. His father lived elsewhere in the country, so it was just Heidi and the love of her life. Except now Nick had what he wanted. Heidi spoke hardly any English, and she struggled adjusting to a more normal lifestyle. Nick was impatient and quickly became very abusive. She doesn’t know what to do, and hopes things go back to the way they were, because if not, she’s trapped in a foreign country where most people don’t have the patience to speak to her. She is kept mostly at home, at beck and call for his whims, and usually does errands and tries to explore the city while he is busy with his own personal business.

birth date

occupation

status

Sexuality
Homosexual

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’9”
Build: He is thin. He is used to hiking and climbing the mountains, so he tries to find ways to be healthy here, but he does not have much muscle, in his opinion
Hair: Short, well maintained, dark brown. He used to shave all the hair off his head until two months ago, so having any facial hair, hair on his head, eyebrows even, are all weird for him thus far
    Eyes: Dark Murky Blue Eyes
Skin: Very slightly tanned skin, not fair
    Mods: No. No. No.
Clothing: He isn’t sure how to dress. He owns some very light weight hoodies, and jeans. He feels extremely uncomfortable in shorts, and short sleeves seem unusual for him. He’s not used to things being so warm, but he insists on being covered up, even if it must come down to a t-shirt and jeans.

PERSONALITY

Micah was a monk. He is accommodating, he is caring. He would love to help you? He would love to sacrifice his own needs for yours. He feels no issue with this. He wants to. He is also anxious and bashful. He was taught that things he wanted were immoral, and to be honest he still worries about that now. At least he is chaste and dependable. He is very modest, he is entirely non-sexual. He will be there for you, when you need him, when you push him away, and when you don’t realize you need a friend. Micah will be there. He is still disciplined and organized. He learned from his parents to be both, and in the last ten years at the monastery those two ideals were driven home. He never had a lot, and he kept what he had very orderly. He kept himself in check just as well.

Speaking of being Micah, and not just brother Vitale… the man is very guarded and very guilt ridden. You don’t need to know how he feels on the inside. If he isn’t doing something for you, you truly don’t need to know about his soul. He is guilt ridden, he feels awful about being who he is. The fact that he finds men appealing, and that he simply cannot find women at all sexually appealing. He feels disgusting for that. He wishes he didn’t, but it is etched in his being by now. He is a polite and respectful man. He has very good manners. He knows how to treat everyone well, and not just those in authority. He is introverted and reserved. He thinks a lot, about his life, his personality, his sexuality, his family. He has to think a lot, it keeps him sane. He is gentle and meek. He speaks softly when he does speak. Nothing is rushed or loud. He is gentle in his touches and his personality. He allows people to tell him what to do, not because they can control him, but because he allows people to give him direction.

Micah is religious and honest. He may not have chosen his religion, but he still believes in it. He believes a different following than his parents, but he still believes it. He definitely believes in being honest, with tact. He is lonely and shy. Since he has been alone for so long, in his family and in his own head, he truly is lonely. He feels he has no one he can trust. No one in the world. That is crippling. He is shy, so he doesn’t make friends easily, if at all, and that doesn’t help. Despite this he is naïve and trusting. He has such a sheltered view of the world that he doesn’t know when people trick him. He trusts them because he himself is honest. He feels that after living with his family, and his monastic family that everyone must be the same way. They aren’t. He isn’t stupid, he knows that, but he can never put it into practice. He is just too trusting.

He is submissive and timid. He allows people to tell him what to do. Even when he thinks he knows better, and he thinks he has a say in his life, he allows people to boss him around. This is because he is timid. This doesn’t apply all the time, after all, he’s not in the monastery anymore, now is he? He is a hardworking and unselfish individual. Nothing was handed to him. His parents weren’t poor, but he still had to work. He enjoys work, and does not like being given everything. He hardly knows how to handle gifts of any nature. He enjoys earning things, just so he knows he made it worthwhile for someone else. He is a sweetheart, forgiving and empathetic. He feels your pain. If you are hurting, jealous, upset, jaded. He feels the pain. He doesn’t feel the jealousy, upset, or jadedness, but he still can empathize. He forgives people who wrong him. He doesn’t really learn to cut them off, but eventually he does run away, at least currently. But he is still going to write his family and hope for the best… eventually.

He is soft-spoken. His voice is quiet and gentle. He is also very apologetic. If he wrongs you, he’ll go over it for months unless you seem impatient. He is patient though, and virtuous. He is a good man. Truly, he has just been told otherwise, simply for one fact. He is inquisitive and fidgety. He wants to learn about the whole world, people, society, and everything. That pop culture reference you want to make? He won’t get it. Britney Spears? Wait, who are the Beatles? He can list all the past leaders of Italy, but he’s going to give you a weird look if you ask about The Terminator. He honestly doesn’t understand his own country’s pop culture either, but he doesn’t live there anymore. He is sincere and sweet. He is generous and sacrificing. He could have been a monk even without the self-loathing and external judging. He respects the monastic tradition; it simply does not suit him. Or that sect didn’t.

HISTORY

Dante Vitale and his wife used to live in Avezzano, L'Aquila, Italy. Dante worked for a sales company, and Alcee taught. They were happily married in mid-twenties by the time they decided to have their first child. They waited four more years after having Pippa to have their second and last child. Micah was born and raised in Avezzano initially. Around the age of eight things changed for Micah. His parents found Theravada Buddhism. They loved everything about Buddhism and the children were encouraged to follow as well. Pippa was a good child, but never cared to focus on religion much. Micah seemed ideal for Buddhism, he already seemed to follow all the tenants. He took to meditation and learning, but he eventually discovered a fundamental part of him that made following Buddhism rather problematic.

Soon Dante quit his job to focus more on his religion, as did Alcee. The family finances suffered, but they simply lived more modestly. It wasn’t until Micah was thirteen that the whole family moved to Thailand. Dante more or less started doing any religious work he could find, trying to “help the cause” as it were. Micah adjusted to living in Thailand without much trouble, but Pippa moved back to Italy after a year. It was around fifteen years old that Micah reluctantly admitted to being interested in boys. His parents flipped out at him and explained to him how being homosexual was a willful dismissal of natural impulses. The already quiet boy just sat and listened. They were painfully judgmental of him. He wondered if his sister would accept it, but he didn’t want to tell her. She rarely spoke to their parents, and so he didn’t mention it in his letters. He knew another Italian girl in the area, and when he was sixteen he decided to try to date her. She had liked him for years, and his parents were overjoyed, deciding that his interest in men was a sort of confusion. Ciri was very sweet, and Micah was a perfect gentleman, in part because he already was, and in part because he found her entirely unappealing.

They broke up after a few months, but he never mentioned liking men again. He reluctantly admitted a feeling of confusion in his faith around the time he turned eighteen, and his parents readily pushed him to becoming a monk. It was far more than simple encouragement, and basically became manipulation. They didn’t see it that way, but they used his love and respect for them to convince him to take his vows. He eventually forgot about that. He truly did respect and follow Buddhism, and it shaped who he grew to be. He was quiet, respectful, contemplative, and entirely guilt ridden over his sexuality. Luckily as a monk he learned to shut out any interest in sexuality in favor of celibacy. Although becoming a monk had not truly been his idea, he enjoyed it, and he never wanted to do anything else.

Well things took a turn for the worst when Micah was twenty-eight. He was discussing his past with a fellow monk, when his sexuality was mentioned. Monk vows are lifelong, and he no longer cared about being involved in the more secular world. He lived in a very remote monastery in the northern Thailand Mountains. His sister had gotten married, and had two children. His parents lived in a small town within a day’s travel of Bangkok. He expected this to be how things remained. However when it became clear he’d once had an interest in men, which he long since locked away deep down, things changed. He was forced to leave the monastery and be stripped of his monkhood. He quickly assumed his parents would be ashamed of him, but he gave Pippa a bit more credit. He wrote her a letter, simply telling her that he had left the monastery, and was moving away. He sent it, and spent the next month travelling to America. He found a small town to settle into, and has been struggling with his VISA over various issues. He has no idea what to do with his life now, and so he is simply hiding.

OTHER

LIKES

Prayer, time alone, quiet, being with people, reading, natural beauty, water, relaxed conversation, soda, and laying in grass.

DISLIKES

Being guilted, drugs and alcohol, skimpy outfits, tight clothes, meat, discussing pop culture, turning on the radio, driving, fishing, and competition.

MISC NOTES

He dated a girl once, named Ciri. He dated her to attempt to find woman romantically appealing. He did not. That about sums up his romantic pursuits.

He never smokes. (“Look, I may not be in my order anymore, but I do not partake in any harmful physical substances.”) He does not drink (“There was a time I got tipsy, and I felt entirely out of control. I have not had alcohol since.”) He does not do drugs(“Never been offered. Never been interested.”)

He speaks Italian and Thai fluently. He speaks enough English to get by, but not very well.

RELATIONSHIPS:

Father: Dante Cross Vitale (60): Formerly a sales representative, he became a preacher years ago. He preaches every week and during the week in the small town he and his wife live in.

Mother: Alcee Lisandra Vitale (58): A school teacher. She was a school teacher when Micah was young, an then quit to pursue religion. She has taken up teaching in a small town again.

Sister: Pippa Elene Vitale-Barone (32): Micah’s married elder sister. She has two children, and a happy marriage. They do not argue with Mr. and Mrs. Vitale, which would upset Micah if he were the jealous type.

birth date

occupation
Professional Photographer and Charity Organizer
status

Sexuality
Heteroseuxal

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’7”
Build: A very small frame, skinny, but somewhat fit. She weighs slightly under a hundred and twenty pounds, but she isn’t unhealthy.
Hair: Blonde, long, with varying amounts of brown mixed in naturally. It’s straight and mostly dark blond hair.
    Eyes: Dark amber brown eyes.
    Skin: Clear skin, slightly tanned
Mods: Pierced ears, and two tattoos. She has feather bracelet tattoo on her left wrist, and the letters TAT tattooed under her right ankle.
Clothing: Aeryn loves Bohemian style. If she could wear a flowing skirt with earth tones and beads, she would be happy. She likes different cultural clothes, she likes to wear a lot of earth tones, but also some bright colors. She prefers natural colors, and not neon. However her taste has matured. She is able to wear fitted clothing and fancier outfits, but she still likes cuddling up at home in something comfortable. And she still loves scarves.

PERSONALITY

In school Aeryn was always a good student. She knew the answers to questions, but she would never raise her hand. She has never been a showoff. She is quiet and reserved, but studious. Her homework is always done early and she is quick with tests. This has helped her build fast penmanship and typing skills. Still, she would never turn in a test first because she didn’t want to be the first to do anything. She has grown far more confident since then.

With friends Aeryn has always been a lot more outgoing. The more popular people used to scare her, but she has since realized that she is allowed to talk to whomever she wants, if she wants to. When she loosens up she is a sweetie. She will ramble endlessly if people let her, and often doesn’t realize she is. She also talks a lot and stutters when she is nervous, but that has become far less frequent going into adulthood. If someone has a problem she wants to listen. She doesn’t usually know what advice to give, and so she keeps that to herself, but she is a great shoulder to cry on. She doesn’t like to talk about herself. Even as a more confident adult, she simply does not feel the need to talk about herself, but she does love to talk about her characters. She’s toned it down quite a bit, and still talks about characters, and might accidentally re-tell stories to people if she can’t remember having told them already, but she is her quirky self, and with those closest to her, she’s a lot of fun.

Aeryn has always been extremely close with her sister Trace. If she has a problem, she will call or text the younger Visalli and talk everything out. However if she really cannot handle a problem she turns to her writing. Maybe she doesn’t know how to solve a work conflict, and so she puts it into a story. Maybe she really hates how impulsive a classmate has been, and so she makes a character who is impulsive to learn to enjoy the trait more. Or at least understand it. She self-counsels through her characters.

Aeryn is a conservative and class lady. She is a virgin, she hasn’t kissed a man, and she would never say she wants to “fix” those things. She might want to change them, with the right man, but she doesn’t consider them problems that need “fixing.” She stays away from anything athletic. Some hiking or walking around is fine, but a team sport upsets her. She is alright watching sports, if someone persuades her. She always felt like when she played sports she disappointed people by not being good enough. She has always been awkward in dating. She wanted the perfect romance, and she still does. Anything romantic, corny or not, is the most adorable thing in the world to her. She is a sweetheart and she would probably melt if a guy just brought her roses. It isn’t that she has unrealistic expectations, it’s that she wants romance, and not just fun. She isn’t necessarily awkward if she were dating someone she already knew, but men she doesn’t know hitting on her, oh boy. She is avoidant of starting a relationship because she is afraid the guy won’t meet her expectations, will hurt her feelings, or will decide she just isn’t worth anything. That would hurt her self-worth. She’s had men use her, and it hurts, but at the end of a long day, roman sandals, skirt off, blouse off, looking in the mirror, mud on her hands from hiking all day to get the perfect picture, she knows she’s worth more than they thought.

If she’s got internet connection and a group of people to rp with, she’s golden no matter what. She hopes. She is afraid of bad things happening to her family, never getting married, or never having kids. She always gets a bit anxious that she will lose her Visa or her glasses. She was afraid of failure. She is afraid of barking and being bitten by a dog. That makes her a bit jumpy. Overall Aeryn is still the same girl she has always been, but she doesn’t feel bad about how she is anymore. She’s good enough, and the people who doesn’t get that, just don’t get her.

HISTORY

Perhaps the sweetest thing about Aeryn’s childhood was her parents, and how they got together. Leonardo took his younger brother, ten years younger to be exact, to day-care one day in Maryland. Michelangelo was only four at the time and he took his finger paint and wiped her hands all over the face of a chubby little blond. Marion cried for an hour and when Leonardo came to pick his brother up after school he decided that Angelo was flirting with Marion, despite being only four. The two made nice the next day and played together all the time, becoming best friends up until Angelo’s senior year in high school, when the Visalli family moved. Moving to Nevada did not sound ideal to Angelo, but his family was rich, and wanted to stay rich, though they were modest, so they had to follow the business where it went. Angelo, who had never claimed any feelings for Marion before that, decided he was too love sick to attend school, and ran away.

Leo was already working for his father’s business so he sent most of his pay to fund Angelo living in an apartment on his own so he could stay near Marion, it was around that time that Leo started dating a woman he felt a strong attraction to, so he could sympathize with his brother. Angelo and Marion graduated together and dated through their senior year of high school to their sophomore year in college at Berkley, where Marion majored in photography and Angelo majored in computer technology. They got married their junior year; a year after Leo got married. Marion graduated in five years with a bachelors in Photography and graphic design while Angelo stayed on until he was twenty eight, getting his masters in Computer Technology, Calculus, and Computer Design, also receiving a bachelors in a few other assorted computer classes.

Leo and his wife had their first child, a boy named Christopher, when Angelo was twenty four. And finally, three months after Leo had another child, a boy named Louis, Angelo and Marion had their daughter, Aeryn, when they were twenty-nine. Leo remained in Nevada, working at the company base, but Angelo moved his family to Big Ugly, West Virginia and worked from home on his computer, managing his job online. When Aeryn was three her mother gave birth to a little girl named Trace, brunette like her father, and twice as hyper-active as Aeryn, but her big sister didn’t mind at all. Three years after that Abaegayle was born, and then a year later Marion had a miscarriage. Finally, when Aeryn was eight her mother gave birth to her last baby, a boy named Tiernan.

Around the time Aeryn was ten her father was promoted to CEO, while her uncle was the President, and her grandfather had retired. Aeryn went to public school until Junior High, when she was home schooled by her mother. Despite the semi-annual trips their family took, sometimes involving Aeryn’s cousins, especially Louis, the trips picked up when Aeryn hit Junior High. For two years she visited more countries than she had before in her life, including Bosnia, Italy, Russia, Japan, China, India, Egypt, Greenland, Germany, The Czech Republic, Mexico, Canada, Papua New Guinea, England, France, and many other countries. Her mother dedicated weekends to study, and Aeryn loved those times almost more than the five days the two would take trips around foreign cities and villas, oceans, and mountains, parties and libraries. She learned almost as much on her vacation as she did when she studied, and this same system went on through the summer, only taking a month long break in December. Even with Trace, Abaegayle, and Tiernan tagging along, in their relative youth, Tiernan being only five in the beginning, Marion managed to educate all of her children, and after a while Aeryn helped with her sisters.

This continued until Aeryn finished her freshman year of high school. Angelo could no longer go on any of the extended mid-school year vacations with his family, and Marion got a lot more contracts when her photographs from the foreign countries got popular. Aeryn was shocked and devastated when she heard their trips had to come to an end, with the exception of any extended break from school. And then she got the final blow. Boarding School. When she got on the plane at the age of fifteen, her carry-on being a picture of her dog Moose and her three younger siblings, she cried the whole way.

But De La Salle Academy was not what she expected. Although she was almost instantly classified as a nerd, Aeryn wasn’t extremely disliked; she made her fair share of friends and she only withdrew inside herself after school hours. And when she did that she found the internet to be a nice place to sit, even chatting sometime with Trace, even though she girl was only twelve at the time. Aeryn got majorly involved in online Role Playing, and since then wrote at least three full books over the summer vacation before graduating in 2009. Most people knew she was obsessed with role playing, and majorly involved in her plots. She could tell anyone who would listen about her latest characters, but kept herself more closed off. She was thrilled when Trace came to De La Salle for 9th grade when Aeryn was in 12th. They hung out often and were very close.

Aeryn took that summer to travel all around Thailand, taking pictures of the mountains and hiking a lot. It helped her tiny frame, but that also caused her to have to take a lot of breaks. Her cousin Louis came with her as their own “graduation present.” They traveled around and she made a week long stop in Big Ugly, West Virginia before flying to Dublin, Ireland. In Dublin Aeryn enrolled at University College Dublin. She studied Photography and Creative Writing for four years there. Each summer she took trips to a different country, and took an overload of classes to make sure she was able to study everything she wanted. She kept up with her online RP, and also began editing her novels. After sophomore year of college she managed to send her novels in to be published and they were all three published within the year. She spent a lot of her free time at college immersing herself in local culture, and helping with charity.

Since graduation Aeryn has been focusing on the rest of the world. She is exploring anywhere she thinks of, and wants to see places that can use some help, so she might settle down and live there. She wants to help any community she is in, and if she has some internet connection, she is golden. She’s been strongly pursuing her professional photographer career by working with her mother, and had good connections for that…

Nicknames: Ryn, Rhea, Trish, Eryn or Erin for those failing to spell her name

Aeryn has never once smoked, she has never done drugs and would probably cry if she did. She very rarely drinks, she can get tipsy, but is it not a common occurrence.

Aeryn has dated, but she still has not been kissed. At one point in her life she was shy and self-conscious about these things, but now she is less worried about love. She has her RP for that, the rest of the world has a lot more to offer than just a boyfriend, but that doesn’t mean she would ignore romance if she had the option. She just so happens to still be pinning for a friend from high school.

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’6”
Build: She has one of those metabolisms that simply does not let her gain weight. Even with all the calories she gets from drinking, and her lack of interest in real working out, she has a very nice body. She might appreciate it more if she actually had to work for it though.
Hair: Dirty blond hair, generally reaching about to her shoulders
    Eyes: Baby blue
    Skin: Fair porcelain skin
Mods: She’s got some, such as pierced ears
Clothing: Lissy wears fairly skimpy outfits, and takes advantage of any warm weather to avoid covering up. Even if it is cold she’ll opt for a hoodie and short-shorts if she can. She likes silvers and patterns, but not too many bright colors.

PERSONALITY

Lissy can be absent minded. She isn’t liable to go off on a hundred tangents and get confused, but she does sometimes completely forget what she was talking about. She’ll walk into a room three times, and zone out before asking “what were we just saying?” This isn’t all the time, but sometimes. She is adaptable. She has had to go from generally barely surviving, to living with her elderly grandmother, to being kidnapped, to being all alone. She does it in stride for the most part. She’s a survivor. She is an addict. Lissy needs her liquor. It’s probably ruining her body, but she needs it. Even though she has no interest in men, she goes after them because they are the ones who will buy her a drink. Lissy is affectionate. Even though she isn’t attracted to men, she still enjoys the feeling of being near someone. She didn’t get enough affection growing up, and now she enjoys it from those she chooses to be close to, though she still does not enjoy being touched by strangers.

Lissy is afraid. She is afraid to commit to someone, afraid to be found out, afraid to be cut off, afraid to be controlled. She wants her freedom, and her own life, and she is afraid to go back to where she was. She can be childish. Why not? She’s hardly an adult now, and so much of her life was lived without childhood, so she acts immature and juvenile at times, but also finds the joy in the things most adults cannot anymore. She can be clumsy, knocking over glasses or running into people. She isn’t a major klutz, but sometimes her clumsiness rears its head at inopportune moments. She is compassionate, loving, empathetic, sweet, and warm-hearted. She wants people to be happy, she feels sad for them when they are sad, she cares about the ones she cares about wholly, and she is sensitive.

Lissy is also competent, composed, considerate, open-minded, and pleasant. Even when she stumbles into someone, she can shrug it off with grace and a smile. She doesn’t let her emotions show very much on her face when she doesn’t want them to. She is good at the tasks she set before herself and she works hard to accomplish them. She is easy to talk to even when she disagrees with you because she is open- minded and not quick to judge others. This comes from the many experiences she has had over her life. Lissy is conversational, effervescent, fun loving, likeable, and young. She enjoys talking to most anyone, and can even enjoy it if she doesn’t enjoy the person she is talking to. Conversing is effortless for her, and even when she slips into territory she knows she cannot talk about, it is easy to steer things away from that. She likes a good time. If you call her and ask to go on a drive at two in the morning, if she’s sober, she’s happy to. If you want to do body shots, also a good time. If you’ve got a day off for the theme park, she’s thrilled. She is a fun person to be around, and it is clear she is still young.

Lissy is curious. There are many things she hasn’t experienced, many people she hasn’t met. She wants to learn. Despite this she is flightly. She is the sort that would turn away from happiness because it confuses her. She will turn her back on a friend if they ask for too much commitment. She is lonely because she doesn’t have anyone to hold her down and make her feel secure. She is still gentle. Even though she is impulsive and makes poor decisions, she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Lissy is gracious, disorderly, hopeful, and immodest. She appreciates anything she is given, she truly does. She is however somewhat immature and doesn’t naturally keep things organized. She is hopeful for the future, a trait some call her childishness. She is immodest, she makes sexual references or wears skimpy clothing and this no longer fazes her at all.

Lissy is impulsive, instructive, materialistic, and obedient. She is impulsive and instinctive because if she thinks it, she just kind of does it. She values the material because she knows that without it you cannot survive. Emotional bonds are great, but only those less mature than her believe that material possessions are unimportant, according to her. She is obedient, if you tell her what to do, chances are she is going to do it, at least if she likes you or wants something from you. Lissy is reliable, submissive, supportive, and timid. She does not feel confident in expressing her opinions if they contradict those of others. She has low confidence actually, and brings out any confidence she pretends to have just from what she has done before, and knowing it works.

Lastly Lissy is strong willed, suspicious, and witty. Although she keeps some of her honest opinions to herself, she still has them. She isn’t stupid, she is clever. She has opinions and she will not be broken. She will bend every which way, but at her core, to herself, she will be a survivor, and that is what keeps her going. She is still suspicious though, and doesn’t trust people at their word. No one. No one has her trust.

HISTORY

Cassie and Joseph Mason had a turbulent marriage that became an issue for their daughter Elisabeth. They lived in Connecticut, and when Elisabeth was in third grade they divorced and sent Lissy to live with her paternal Grandmother Ruby Mason in Maine.

Life in Maine was good for Lissy. Her Grandmother gave her a room all to herself, jeans, dresses, overalls, new shoes. With her parents Lissy had almost nothing. She had only a couple new outfits any given year, the cheapest toys, and only enough food to be healthy, but not enjoy any of it. Cassie could not cook, and Joseph tried, but neither could afford the best ingredients. Cassie didn’t work, Joseph did, and both spent as much time as they could having extramarital affairs while at least one of them watched Lissy. Ruby actually cared about her granddaughter, and Lissy adored her. She got to eat proper food, and pick her own toys from time to time. Ruby had a lot of money, and gave Lissy whatever she asked for, but Lissy didn’t know how to ask often enough to become spoiled.

Lissy began learning the piano when she was ten, because her Grandmother had one, but no one was playing it due to Ruby’s arthritis. Lissy learned to really enjoy the piano and would go and play it after school every day. It became a reward to play the piano, and she could only play when her homework was done. It caused a small rebellious streak in Lissy, where she sought out things she knew her Grandmother might not approve of, and did them anyway, but still maintained her grades so she never actually got in trouble.

When Lissy was fifteen she started noticing an interesting man at the park near her house. Although she loved her Grandmother, sometimes she didn’t feel like being there when all of Ruby’s friends were around, and so the teenager went and hung around the park. There she met Jared Kent. He was attractive, twenty, and dangerous. At fifteen Lissy found the idea of a dangerous man exciting. He hung around the park because it was where he worked out, and he offered to teach Lissy some yoga. Their hanging out turned into some flirting and she was entirely interested in him until her grandmother got sick.

Ruby gave Lissy her necklace, and Lissy carried it around everywhere. She started playing the piano more to give her grandmother something to listen to. They remained close, but in the first weeks of summer after tenth grade, Ruby passed away. Lissy was heartbroken and Jared came around to comfort her. He offered to take her away, and when she insisted she couldn’t do that, he reminded her of her parents. Which would she stay with? Would they pay attention to her now? Would she starve again? In fear and under his charismatic manipulation, Lissy packed a bag and ran away with Jared.

Jared was never a gentleman, but he was at least charming. It took over a year for Lissy to realize the effect he had on her. He wasn’t someone she wanted to date, he was someone she found interesting. He was powerful, he paid attention to her, and he led a strange and foreign life. They moved to Seattle after stopping at a chapel. She wasn’t really interested in getting married, but he convinced her. He pulled strings and got her fake identification to pretend she was eighteen, and they were married. In Seattle she wasn’t allowed to work initially. When she did hit eighteen, they got legally married.

Jared would come home from his manual labor work and she would rub his shoulders. He would bring home friends and he now insisted she was twenty-one, though she wasn’t yet seventeen. The men didn’t question it, and as long as none of them touched Lissy, she didn’t mind them. The alcohol was new though. She’d never had any and it became routine for her to drink some on weekends. Eventually, with one of the fake IDs Jared acquired for Lissy, she got a job at a bar, playing piano. Men started buying her drinks, and Lissy was completely disinterested in them, but she played along. It got her alcohol. Jared found her to be a cute drunk, and let her drink at home while she played the keyboard he bought her for Christmas.

This was life for a few years. He let her work sometimes, but when he got jealous, he made her stay at home. She was only allowed what he gave her. She was a prisoner, and she didn’t like him at all anymore. She didn’t have any friends, and he was starting to cut off her alcohol. It sent her into withdrawal and one night she ran off while he was at work. She found a man who bought her a few drinks. She wasn’t quite twenty, but he didn’t ask. She realized she couldn’t go back to Jared, because she would never be allowed to leave again, and so she ran away. She found a small town where no one would look for her, and got as cheap an apartment as she could. She’d been doing on jobs for rides and drinks, and a bit of spare change. It got her a month, and she is living paycheck to paycheck, supplying herself with only enough food as she can afford, and finding other ways to drink. In the end, she doesn’t mind so much, she’s survived worse.

Homosexual, but she hasn’t actually dated a woman
She never smoked, Jared wouldn’t let her have his smokes, because he said they made her less appealing. She drinks often, she’s an alcoholic, but it’s difficult now without Jared to bring home drinks. She has never done drugs, she has enough reality escaping alcohol.

Training to be a Nurse at Lochland Grove General Hospital. Student at Lochland Grove Community College
status
Single
Sexuality
Bisexual

APPEARANCE

    Height: 6’0”
    Build: Healthy, toned, somewhat thin
    Hair: Short soft brown hair
    Eyes: Hazel Eyes
    Skin: Slightly tan
    Mods: None
Clothing: Ryan isn’t very showy. He likes t-shirts and hoodies when he can get away with it, and of course jeans. He really is not someone you will catch dressing up, and to get him to dress up for something short of a wedding or funeral will take some convincing. However most of his time is spent at work and so he is always wearing work appropriate clothes at the hospital.

PERSONALITY

Ryan was something. He was something legitimately special, if not the most unique of men, but things have changed. First let’s cover the before. You always look at the before picture and then the after. Before the incident Ryan was an outgoing, engaging, and friendly guy. He wasn’t the sort to walk up to just anyone and strike up a conversation, but he was comfortable meeting strangers. They liked him, because he was fun to be around, and he had a glow about his personality. He was always a mature and hard-working guy. He had his goals and he was always striving for them. More importantly he just worked hard. He would work hard at his homework, at his chores, for his family, and at his job. He was never lazy. He was a very grown up guy at all times, and he knew if he wanted to achieve things, he needed to be accountable. He was very dependable in that way, and exceedingly loyal. Ryan has always been and will always be a loyal person. When he cares about you, he is dedicated, he wants to go to the ends of the earth for you, and if he loved you once, he will always be there for you if he can.

Next Ryan was a focused, aspiring, and knowledgeable guy. He could get a task, sit down, and think on it. He could find a problem and his mind went there all the time. This hasn’t changed entirely, but that is an issue now. For the most part he would just focus on something until it was completed. He was also very focused on his career and education goals. He knew what he wanted and he wasn’t going to stop at anything less. He is smart, and loved to learn. He studied all sorts of subjects to have a grasp of them. If someone mentioned a political policy based on something the second president said, he would have to go and look up the political career of the second president. If someone said they wouldn’t bore him with the details of their marine Biology major in college, he was going to sit down and research the subject. From doing this all his life he became a sort of jack of all trades, and a near master of a select few. He was never boastful, only loving and encouraging. People enjoyed his company because he was positive and helpful toward them. He loved people and that shows in how he interacted with them. It also showed in his emotions. He is emotional and empathetic. When he saw someone else suffer it hurt him to his core. When he saw someone suffer and injustice it angered him, and when he couldn’t help, it frustrated him. It wasn’t always that fun, but it was just how Ryan was.

He was also confident. Despite not being boastful, he knew his own abilities. He knew he was smart, good looking, fairly well liked, and somewhat accomplished. He didn’t doubt himself, but he didn’t take himself seriously all the time. He was curious, wanting to know things about people, and life, and love, and everything. He was detailed. He noticed that last piece of trash on the floor when he vacuumed, and the one annoying wrinkle in his shirt, the fact that someone said “they” instead of he or she when they didn’t want someone to know a gender, or when they didn’t know it. He liked details, but was never totally obsessed with them. He was a dork, and he never minded. He could be the only guy at a sleepover of girls, let them paint his nails, playfully gush about how dreamy Shang was with Mulan, or go on for a whole voicemail message about the latest comic he liked, or laugh at the corniest jokes he ever heard. And he never cared if someone found him too goofy. He was also gentle. The sort of man who could cradle a baby and never wake it, and if he did, he’d sit with it until it went back to sleep. And then there is the personality that has come to about since the incident. Ryan is has become quiet, wanting to keep his emotions on the inside. He doesn’t want to draw attention to himself, or any sort of wrath. He is punctual, getting nervous if he is even close to being late. He makes sure to be on time, because he doesn’t want to get in trouble. He is afraid. Afraid to make waves, afraid to be hurt, and very afraid to commit. That makes an odd combination of how possessive he has become. He finds some things that he is attached to and he desperately doesn’t want to lose them. Those are his, his time, his job, his family, his clothes. It is his insecurity that makes him so possessive.

Ryan is passive-aggressive. He knows things bother him, and he hates being disrespected or dismissed, but he tries to ignore things and hope they go away to avoid conflict. He is a mistrusting, flighty, delicate, and guarded man now. He is mistrusting because he expects to be hurt, and he is also afraid to tell people about what happened. He is flighty. If he gets close to someone, then he will be hurt, or worse, they will be hurt. He is delicate, he really cannot handle what he’s gone through, and the slightest things set him off. Guarded? Oh, like he’s going to actually explain to you how he feels. That only ends badly. He can’t trust anyone with that. However he is very obedient. He doesn’t want to get in trouble again and have something else bad happen to him, so he is very obedient when people ask him things.

He has become abrupt. When he is pushed to his edge, he snaps, gets quiet, stops communicating, or just walks off. He is cynical and depressed. He truly is depressed, not just going through waves of depression, he has been depressed for years, but he is afraid to go to therapy or get medication. He is a cynic, a pessimist, a very negative man. He’s afraid to try, because if he were to try, he would fail. He is detached from his emotions. Not that he does not feel his emotions, but he struggles to avoid letting them show. He rarely shows his jealousy, but he is jealous of people with what he considers functional lives, and healthy relationships. That is because he is lonely. He has no self-confidence. He is messed up, broken and worthless. Those are things he thinks daily, and he is worn down by it. He is ashamed by everything that happened. He is anti-social now as well.

Ryan is still the same person, somewhere, but he needs help he can’t get, and so he buries himself inside. Those he is close to, despite his flighty nature, will still see glimpses of who he was.

HISTORY

Mark and Claudia got married in 1978 and waited until 1986 to have their first child. Natalie Christine was joined by two siblings on December 28, 1989. Twins Haven Sophia and Ryan Loy were born. Life was relaxed and happy for the whole family in Lochland Grove, Connecticut. The family purchased a pie shop and house in a town near Lochland Grove in 2000. They remained in Lochland for the children though. In 2004 Natalie graduated from Lochland Grove High and moved to Baton Rouge to attend Baton Rouge Community College for two years and then Southern University and A&M College. She remained in Baton Rouge.

Haven and Ryan stayed home. Ryan started dating in junior high, flirting, and taking out a couple of girls on small outings. He began more seriously flirting in high school, including with some boys. It was a small southern town, so he kept his preferences a bit quiet, but with the right people, he was open.

While in high school Ryan took a CPR class so he could be a lifeguard. This began his interest in medicine. He loved studying things, and so he took it upon himself to study up on that, and each time he did, he was left unsatisfied. He kept learning until he decided that one day he would be a nurse. Not a doctor, he wanted to be a nurse. In 2007 the twins graduate and Mr. and Mrs. Chambers move out of Lochland to be next to their pie shop. Ryan and Haven got an apartment in town when they began attending Lochland Grovet Community college. Ryan started dating a nice girl named Angela.

In 2009 Haven was attacked. She injured her attacker’s back some, but otherwise he got away fine, and she had no way of knowing who it was. She was so traumatized that she dropped her classes and moved to be with her parents. Ryan was distraught, and alone. He visited her to try and comfort his twin, but it was difficult. The police had no suspects for the attack, as it occurred while Haven was walking home from a night out with her friends, out in a random alley. Ryan thought of it frequently, but almost no one in town knew what happened. A month after the attack, Ryan was at work with his mentor, when an intern accidentally spilled his drink on him in the cafeteria. Ryan went to go ask his mentor a question but caught a glimpse of the man changing his shirt. He had scars on his back like the ones Haven had made on her attacker.

Ryan became basically obsessed with this, but didn’t think it should be possible. The wounds were healing, and would be gone in good time, but he just couldn’t get it out of his mind. Another month after that he finally checked the work logs. He thought the man had working that night, but apparently he checked out early, with more than enough time to happen across Haven. He convinced himself that the man had done it, but didn’t know what to do. Another month passed and when speaking to Haven, Ryan found out she was pregnant. He became more upset and confronted his mentor at his home. The man attacked Ryan to keep him quiet, but let the boy go mostly unharmed. Ryan’s personality shifted drastically. He lived alone in the apartment, and was able to pull inside himself. He never told anyone what he found out, or what happened. His relationship with his girlfriend deteriorated rapidly when he emotionally shut down, and they broke up.

In 2010 Delaney was born, and though Ryan loves his family still, he was still an emotional recluse. He is very messed up over everything even now. In 2011 Haven started dating a nice man, and in summer 2013 they moved into a small house with Delaney in Lochland. Ryan almost never visits. He still has his apartment, and is still attending Lochland Grove community college for extra education. He is still an intern at work trying to advance in his career. He goes through the motions of life, but doesn’t stop to examine the major issues in his existence. He is afraid to change his routine and have people question it. He loves his job, but hates and fears going to work. And still his mentor, who he sees daily, acts as if nothing happened.

APPEARANCE

    Height: 5’9”
Build: Somewhat thin looking, not out of shape, but not in any real shape either. Sort of average and skinny
Hair: Short , but scruffy brown hair, usually with some stubble
    Eyes: Light blue eyes
    Skin: Somewhat fair
    Mods: None
Clothing: A lot of Adney’s online videos could be made without the necessity of wearing pants. He got used to a fairly casual attire. Boxers and a t-shirt around the house? Sounded pretty good. Jeans at home were classy. However when he went out, Adney did actually wear proper jeans and a clean t-shirt. For dates he could be persuaded to dress up a bit, but a button down shirt and jeans has been about the best anyone can ask of him.

PERSONALITY

Adney is adaptable. He knows that sometimes, things change, and he had to work with them. He changes with his environment, with his family, with his life stage. He might not transition smoothly, and he might not like it, but he’s doing to work with it as best he can. He is a smart guy and shows his quit wit in many conversations. He isn’t rude unless he is teasing, or he loses his temper. Adney is never violent. Besides getting yelled at for a drunk man knocking into him at a bar, Adney can’t even think of any physical confrontation’s he has been in.

With past girlfriends Adney has always been respectful. Sure, he isn’t every mother’s dream for her little girl, and since he has had sex with his two serious exes, he’s sure he’s not their father’s dream for her either, but he is a good boyfriend. Adney is polite, buys flowers, writes short sweet notes, makes sure to text or call when he can, and has always been faithful. He is often busy with work related things, so he may go a long time without seeing his girlfriend, but his attentiveness usually makes up for that, at least for a while. His isn’t the most physically affectionate person, but if he is dating someone who is highly affectionate, he falls into that easily.

With his work he is very organized. Adney is a youtuber, which means if he isn’t diligent, he won’t make any money. He used to have several side jobs, and he made videos during college, but now that he is trying to make real money from it, he is self-sustained. He sometimes goes to youtube meet ups, and sells various merchandise. He’s extremely friendly toward his fans, and most of them think of him as being more easy going in person than on his videos. His videos are a mix of satire, and extremely critical game reviews. Due to this people tend to think of him as being much more intense. He can be quite critical of things, but in his personal life he is also very lenient. He does enjoy a lot of sarcasm, but he knows there is a time and a place for it. He is a good person to talk to, once people become close enough to him to know he is sympathetic, loyal, and very kind hearted. He is incapable of leaving a friend to fend for themselves if he knows about it.

HISTORY

Adney was never anyone’s first pick. Fine. Adney really couldn’t care any less. Sure, it wasn’t his first choice to be second best or lower on everyone priority list, but Adney was smart, he was creative, and always able to find his own fun. With two older sisters Adney wasn’t exactly alone, but he did get singled out for some attention. The “baby of the family” never accepted that he was supposed to be some pampered princess. Even if his sisters did paint his nails and convince him to wear dresses in his younger years. He doesn’t usually talk about that stuff, but that doesn’t mean he’s ashamed of it. Having two older sisters came with a certain responsibility, and he knew that. Or, he learned that as he got older.

Tatum and Myla made good siblings for Adney, despite being five and three years older than him. When he got older and started making videos and acting, they were always willing to play a small part of help him where necessary. The family grew up in Wyoming, but they didn’t live there past when Adney was twelve. It was hard for his sister’s to protect him from their parents when there was nothing to protect from. They just didn’t talk. They didn’t fight very often, but maybe an argument occurred around bill time. The thing that really killed their marriage was the silence. When Adney was twelve his parents divorced and split. Tatum and Myla went with their father, and Adney was stuck with his mother. One half of the family moved to Pennsylvania, and Adney and his mother moved to Arizona.

Adney kept working on acting for fun, but he focused on computers and making videos. He found he didn’t get along well with his mother when they lived alone together, so she tried to buy his affection with video games. It didn’t make him like her more, but it did keep him in his room a lot. He had a nice computer, and he spent hours playing video games. Junior High school wasn’t his favorite thing, since he was new, but high school was easier. By then he had a few friends, and met his first girlfriend in 10th grade. Renee Alcott and Adney dated for a long time. She was his go-to for inspiration and support as he graduated high school. She was a year younger than him, so he left her behind as he moved to Phoenix for college. At least they could see each other on vacations, and call often. She went to another college nearby, and they saw each other nearby.

In college Adney liked to visit his sister’s, and they were always fairly fond of Renee. Unfortunately they still lived far away. Adney started submitting videos to youtube. He had fun satirical ones, and more serious video game reviews. He was met with mixed popularity, but continued on through college, refining his work and allowing Renee to cheer him up when he got negative comments. Adney was doing fairly well with youtube when he graduated college, but when he moved to Las Angeles, he realized dating Renee was going to be a trial. In 2011, at twenty-two years old, he and Renee broke up. It was extremely difficult for Adney, and while he was too upset for his satirical videos, he fixated on his game reviews and fine-tuned his style. During this time he started to get to know other youtube personalities.

In the middle of 2012 he met Lindsey March. She got along with his new friends, and when he succeeded in making youtube his full time job, she was proud of him. They were dating before September was out, and practically living at each other’s apartments, but never officially. He took several trips for meet-ups, and doing things with fans, and she never minded him being gone, until early 2013. At that point Lindsey would complain, but when he had prior engagements, he couldn’t just bail on them for her. He tried to make things up to her, but she acted like he should be doing more. He scheduled a large vacation for them for April 2013. Two weeks long. She said it sounded fun, well in advance. He made a large stock of videos that a friend was going to set out each day while he was gone, making sure his fans didn’t get bored. He told everyone he was going. The day before the trip Lindsey came over and told Adney she’d been cheating on him for two months, and he promptly broke up with her.

Lindsey had assured herself that Adney wouldn’t break up with her. She was convinced that he needed her, but he quickly kicked her out of his apartment after that. One night, he could have talked about, two months, with the same guy, that he wasn’t dealing with. Adney got on his computer, cancelled his plans, and got on his e-mail. A fan had written him a five page letter. At first he didn’t want to deal with it, but when it started with an explanation of how impressed she was, and how she’d gone through all his videos over the past seven years, he was interested. He read it all, and sent a reply back. She replied a half hour later. He gave her his Skype, and they started talking. They webchatted for a good six hours that night. The next day he invited her over to his apartment. Sometime during their hanging out and drinking, she asked about his girlfriend. He had posted a few videos with his girlfriend in them, and he responded by saying they’d just broken up. Somehow that comment led to more drinking, and eventually sex. Adney and his new fan, spent the next two weeks, her conveniently timed California vacation, getting to know each other.

They started a relationship immediately, and while he paid for her to visit him in LA, he also paid for a few trips to see her out where she lived in Connecticut. They got along and seemed happy together, especially on a two week visit from her in January. Things were going well, they talked, but around the end of February she started acting strange toward him. He was never a paranoid man, but he did make sure to be more attentive toward her. She slowly backed off, until in April she just stopped talking to him. Refusing to lose another girl he loved, or just not know what was going on, Adney went to visit his girlfriend in May, hoping to figure out the problem.

He hadn’t heard from her in far too long. It had been a month. A full month? Who did that? Did they break up? Did she find someone else? He raked his hands through his hair. He hadn’t shaved in days. He told his fans that he had to make an emergency trip. He’d been making some really awful videos from his phone and uploading them. Oh, it was so professional, right? Well unless he flat out moved here he wasn’t going to have all of his equipment. His fancy computer and his video making gear. Yeah, he was struggling out here It was worth it though, if he could figure out things with his girlfriend.

He’d been staying in a hotel for the last two nights, and now he was looking through the phone book. She hadn’t responded to his texts, but if he had to show up at her door, he was going to do it. He found her name and a phone number. Well, that wasn’t going to help him. She wouldn’t answer. He looked it up online. He had been there before, but he didn’t want to get lost. He had put on a nice pair of jeans and a an unbutton button down shirt over his wife-beater. He looked a bit raged, but he felt worse. I hope she answers… I hope she’s alright…. I hope things go okay… he thought, swallowing.

He finally knocked on the door in front of him. The door to a house he’d seen in much better times.

Socially, you try telling some horny man ‘nah, I dun want yo’ drink,’ you gun get in trouble that way, real quick. Drugs? Never, lady, I got enough on my plate without drugs fucking me over too.”

HISTORY

Claire was not a spoiled brat, but she was, and is, an only child. Well, that is, if you ask her. Step-siblings, oh they are a joy, aren’t they? So Mary and John really weren’t that happy with each other, mostly because when Claire was two, John hooked up with some chick who might have been his boss at a Law-firm. And Mary kicked him out and wouldn’t let him see Claire. When Claire was four her father re-married his boss from said law-firm.

So John married Monica, and Mary hated him even more. Monica was divorced with two kids. Well when Claire was eight her mother allowed her to spend more time with her father, finally, because she had a new boyfriend. When Claire was ten, her mother married said boyfriend, Davis Flick. Claire didn’t like his last name, but she did like his daughter, four year old Melissa. Claire became fairly good with kids. She didn’t bond much with Luke and Leanne because they were older, and liked to wave their toys at her growing up. Toys their father had bought them. Claire liked the attention she could actually get from her mother, so when her mother decided to consider another baby, Claire got upset. She started sneaking out and doing her own thing. She quit her dance-group and started hanging out with kids who snuck into dance clubs, all at fourteen. Then she met a boy named Henry Scheck.

Henry and Claire dated, and she got pregnant when she was fifteen. On January 30th, 2008 Kaya Saffron was born. Claire tried to asked Henry if he cared about the name, but he firmly insisted he didn’t(CONTINUE)
