Have you read the Newspaper?
You can read it Here

The Lochland Times has opened their doors to Lochland Grove students to help write April's newspaper. What did they write about? Rain, illegal hunting traps, fireman's breakfasts, art exhibitions, and so much more.

You'll have to look inside to see.

Welcome to Lochland Grove

We are a Real Life Roleplay site focused on enriching character driven stories through events, newspaper headlines, and even death. Set in modern day Connecticut, our background plot follows the on-goings of a small town with a murderous past. Whether your character explores it is up to you. Life is about choice - this is your story. Our goal is to provide a place where you will feel comfortable writing it. Come join the fun!

Student Art Exhibition

Students from Kindergarten to College are displaying their art for the community.

Fireman's Breakfast

The Fire Department is running a fundraiser and cooking plenty of bacon and eggs. Come support the LGFD.

ANDYUTC+12:00CharactersA Little About MeWhat brought me to the community? Caturae. Pretty plain and simple haha. We used to roleplay together on a different site. One that I still write on but Cat doesn't. So I decided to come here. That and this is technically my first 'real life' themed roleplay. Wanted to give something different a go.My favorite roleplay genre is... Considering my history I would say fantasy/supernatural. But I'm also very partial to Sci Fi and fandoms for certain things. Bit of a mixed bag really. Why do I roleplay? I love writing. While I am trying to convert an old RP into a novel I find I lack the motivation most of the time to write on my own. I love the collab experience of roleplay. That anticipation awaiting someone’s reply. Surprise at their characters reaction. I also believe reading others writing helps me to work on mine more.Do I have a preferred character gender? Males quite often take up my roster. I do tend to have usually one core female character and then the rest are dudes haha. I have a weird tendency to make bisexual characters but sometimes these tilt more to one side of the fence than the other. Just like me.Character inspiration comes from...MUSIC. That’s the big number one. Television/movies I love. Books I love. People I actually know. My own weird personality and experiences. It all gets rolled together in some big mixing bowl and out the other side comes a character. Though I do have some OC's that I adapt for each new RP universe. Is there anything I want people to know? Ummmm. I have Violet hair? Four tattoos, an ankh, a Dr Suess fish, a black cat and a map of New Zealand. I drive a midnight blue Toyota Yaris (pretty much a little girls car) and it has an amp and sub in the back lol. Burritos are my favorite food. I smoke Menthol Cigarettes and have insomnia. That’s enough random trivia!Preferences:Mature Threads: Anything goesGay or Straight. I RP to the comfort of my partner in concerns to M threads. If you wish to FTB then I'm fine with it. No pressure. I've written a shameful amount of smut in my time haha but you'll find I avoid using trashy porno terms. I try to avoid 'pointless' smut but if a character is a town bike, they will be played canon. I've RP'd everything from BDSM battle smut to taking a characters virginity so I'm okay with everything.Violent Threads: Anything GoesSince most of my RP background is mostly Supernatural RP I'm super fine with all kinds of gore. I've done countless battle threads (Even ones in animal form, which can be a mission since legs, hands, arms are replaced with paws haha) car crashes, hospital procedures and violent nightmares/flashbacks.Language:MatureDepends on the character really. Some of my OC's use gratuitous mature language and others do not. I don't mind seeing any kind of language used in roleplay posts as long as it does fit a characters personality. I do tend to avoid serious racial slurs though.Mirror: NoWhat you want to post, feel is necessary, is fine by me. Likewise I'll be doing the same. If you don't like novels then I'm not your girl because sometimes mine are short stories of their own. Especially starters, I'm usually pushing around 800 words for those sometimes. I like to use random NPC’s and also build NPC’s for characters that I used a lot. Family, Friends etc. I’ll often link music and other forms of inspo in threads including outfit links unless it can be easily described aka Police Uniform. Pre-determined Relations :SometimesThis is defo a grey area for me. Past romantic relationships are fine, but not current ones, as I feel all 'ships' of that nature grab me more if they have natural chemistry. Wanted ads are sometimes the exception for me, as long as the RPer on the other end of the deal can give me a massive play by play of what their character is like so I can make sure to build the wanted in such a way that a relationship reads and feels canon. Family, friends all of that I'm usually very open to pre-determining for characters but prefer one of the characters to be in the 'being made' stage so that certain things can be aligned. Back history that doesn’t really paint the characters as long time buddies, or family or anything like that I'm completely open to.
