Next month Lochland Grove will celebrate 'Little Halloween'. It's a holiday created by the town a very long time ago, and it is one that isn't very hammered out.

To cut to the chase: there is only one big activity that happens every year.. that we know of.

This year we'd like to start adding to the holiday both IC and OOC.

First, let's talk about what that holiday is about.

Robert Lewis is a serial killer dating back to the 1893s

The Lochland History Museum covers him in detail, and has a tour specifically for talking about him.
The tour includes his house, the grave yard, and his killing grounds.

Back when he was alive, people were terrified. Some were talking of leaving, some wouldn't leave their house, and some wanted revenge on whoever it was. A group of people got together one May and decided that they were done with hiding. At night, the whole community walked now only through the streets but over the paths in the forest all the way to the killing grounds in memory of their dead.

They continued that tradition every year since, even after Robert Lewis was caught. The candle light walk starts at the history museum and covers all of the tour route. It isn't meant to be a spooky ghost tour, but it feels like it is. Citizens and tourists alike enjoy it.

Last year it was canceled due to a murder, but this year the town will be doing the candle light walk. It has become a local tradition and the day is a holiday.

Once again our question to you: Will you help us build our local holiday?"

We'd like suggestions of things we can do ic and ooc. Feel free to respond here or pm Kat or Jaya with ideas. Feel free to take things from holiday, but remember that this is more of a local 'remember our dead and haunted places' than an all out 'vampires and werewolves and sexy catgirls oh my'.

Can there be like a memorial for the recent murders? I feel Like there could be more awareness of the recent events and victims and more chances to rp about it.

That's a GREAT idea, Shani! I'll add it to my list.

If I was the killer, I'd probably celebrate the holiday by another murder. Especially if it cancelled the town's holiday last year. Sorry but that's my suggestion. Meanwhile, Jamin wants to go to the museum and on the walk. If it isn't cancelled by another murder, of course.
